Bay of Pigs veterans: The fight for Cuba isn't over

This month marks the anniversary of the Bay of Pigs invasion — the failed US-backed attempt to overthrow Fidel Castro in 1961. 65 years on, some of its surviving veterans, mostly Cuban exiles, say the fight for Cuba's future isn’t over.

Many decades after the Bay of Pigs invasion, US President Donald Trump's promise of bringing down Cuba's government is stirring old hopes. 

DW correspondent Ines Pohl spoke to three members of Brigade 2506 about their 1961 mission, their imprisonment, and why they believe Trump could finally bring about change in Cuba.
