This is a really nice user experience – explains volume in a way everyone can understand. (Description: iOS can reduce the volume of sounds that are above a certain level: as loud as a vacuum cleaner, noisy restaurant, heavy traffic, motorcycle, car horn, and an ambulance siren.)

I see how my tweet was confusing. Apologies, folks: what I meant is that everyone who is a subscriber for a year will get thank you gifts. Right now that means being a monthly subscriber for 12 months, consecutively or otherwise, but I know some folks want an annual option too 👍

Should be: writing. Actually: looking at coin samples to see if I can make a unique thank you gift for Hacking with Swift+ users who subscribe for a year 😎

Give us Pokémon / Nintendo / Ghibli watch faces, you cowards! Think of the in-app (in-watch?) purchase potential 💸

Looks like this got fixed in the GM! Thank you, Xcode team ❤️

Resolved in Xcode 12: Compilable code completions for SwiftUI APIs now correctly handle overloaded methods.

…and if your company supports iOS n-2, that means you have my deepest sympathies 😅 (On a more serious note: shout out to the amazingly patient people who still support iOS 9. I don't envy you, but I'm glad you exist.)

With iOS 14 landing tomorrow (🤯🤯🤯), if your company supports iOS n-1 that means you can finally upgrade to iOS 13 APIs: 🧩 Compositional collection views 📑 Multi-window iPadOS apps 🔠 OCR support in Vision 🐝 Core Haptics 🌑 Dark mode 🔒 CryptoKit And of course 💫 SwiftUI

In case I happen to know anyone on the Apple Fitness+ team: 1. Which Apple Watch versions does it support? 2. Will it be available worldwide at launch? 3. Can two people do exercises together and see both their stats on-screen? (Also: great job! 🤩)

$80 a year is a steal. Consider me a subscriber already!

Damn, if Fitness+ is even half what that video is showing it's going to be epic.

Apple has always taken its store down during big announcements, but with the way they weigh down the NASDAQ I think perhaps they should consider pausing stock trading as well 😅

90 minutes before today's starts and somehow there are leaks. It's depressing – have some respect for your colleagues who have spent a year or more working towards today!

Neat! This tweet uses the hashflag, so if you like it you get a cute little animation. (Go on, try it! 😂)

Twitter regularly suggests topics I couldn’t be less interested in, but this is a new low.
