Albanian PM opens up about Kushner-linked tourism project

For a month now, Albanians have been taking to the streets on a daily basis to protest.

What began as a response to a government-approved luxury tourism project linked to Jared Kushner, the son-in-law of US President Donald Trump, has over the past four weeks evolved into a wider political movement.

Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama was in Bochum on Wednesday to give a keynote speech at the r26 business and innovation festival.

DW spoke with Rama and asked him about his vision for Albania, the price he is willing to pay for its transformation, the role of artificial intelligence in its future and the current wave of protests.
