Hello drafters,

We have released hotfix 1.7.2 to fix a corner case softlock.

Changelog:

Fixed a softlock that could occur while unlocking the first door of the day if a player clicked the USE KEY button too quickly after hovering over the SPECIAL KEY button immediately after clicking on a door. Due to the frame precise nature of this issue, this bug effectively only ever occurred in speedrunning contexts.

Has anyone earned the trophy of drafting? I'm trying to get the blue tent and this seems like my next best option to get ten. I've given it a couple of tries and not made it half way. Just curious. Thanks.

Fascinating multiple generations, our family got to spend many fulfilling hours of puzzling joy with this lovely game. The puzzles are incredibly deep, layered, multi-faceted, and various, and players always have just the right amount of goals to pursue. We highly recommend.

Playing in a pair of two
will help you find a new clue, too.

TLDR; It's like trying to solve a rubik's cube that takes 10 seconds to make one rotation, and a 30% chance to reset itself every rotation.

Conceptually interesting, but the game is so expensive for how little QoL it has... No mid-run saving, forced manual notes/screenshots/spreadsheets, constant unskippable cutscenes, slow walking...

The roguelike aspect is not applied in an elegant way to work with puzzles; moments of fun or discovery are increasingly separated by repetition and tedium. The way you lose feels entirely out of your control, rather than learning from your mistakes.
Instead of a satisfying "one more time" feeling for roguelikes that keep bringing you back, it's just pure dread of the upcoming slog that is likely to be a complete waste of time.

Puzzles and environments struggle to be satisfying from reliance on pure randomness - it quickly comes to a point where new puzzles do not inspire curiosity, but instead exasperation, as you find another locked thing that needs a password from a room you've never seen yet (and may literally never see).

Starting a new run is slow, exploring is slow, getting lucky is slow, interacting with anything is slow. You go through the same unskippable, slow interactions that make previously fun experimentation into unfun chores. Ultimately, the scales of intrigue tip away under the weight of pure repetition and slog.

So I did it, I reached Room 46... and then I started a new run before just realising I was no longer having any joy in playing and am now uninstalling about five minutes later.

I get why some would love this game, and I applaud that such a unique experience could be made pretty much by one person. But this is one of the most infuriating experiences I wanted to like that I've ever played. Everything is a painful mix of obtuse puzzles that don't even tell you the rules of the puzzle and will nearly always require you to do something several times over to actually complete it, abrasively combined with "rogue-like elements" that means when you think you've solved something you will now need to hope you get a good run going to actually test the solution (if it was even a solution at all).

For instance, I think I know how to complete a puzzle in the Tomb, except I over the course of 49 in-game days I never had the RNG to have all the items it requires available AND have enough steps to actually get back to the Tomb. The first time I worked out how to get to Room 46 the music swells for the inevitable conclusion except... no steps left. And then it was only several runs later where an unexpected easter egg gave me enough rerolls to spam a route with plenty of steps left.

By the time I completed just the main initial story I was basically on the verge of hating the experience of playing this amazing piece of art, and now not having that to keep me engaged all that's left is the frustration sadly.

Asking for help. Did I miss something?

I am asking about a lead I got from A New Clue more specifically The one I got from solving the suspect puzzle Here is what I did I determined that the red handwritten note saying "the suspect is a major" was refering to the erajan meaning of major, so short name. This, along with the blue memo saying the suspect was a minor lead me to Bo Lee. I used his name as a password for the Blackbridge Grotto terminal and got access to the deleted admin logs. The ...

Question regarding some memo clues

Just a warning, I'm spoilering things at two different levels, one of which relates to the rules about different colors of memos (normal spoiler) which are mostly simple to find in the early game and one of which relates to specific memos that are probably not found until late game (spoilers marked with '*'), along with some spoilers tied to specific puzzles that will be more specifically labeled.
