Absolutely amazing game, I have many positives and greatly enjoyed my playthrough!

For starters: The atmosphere in Dead Space is astonishing. The audio, lighting, and level design are all fabulous and are really immersive. It's eerie and special and I absolutely loved it the whole way through.

The characters, voice acting and story are also very good. Many great twists and turns, and it is so so so investing. I enjoyed it the whole way through!! No spoilers, but it definitely has an amazing take on this dark and creepy ship, and extremely investing. The horror, and primarily psychological horror, are done quite well, freaky alien stuff.

The gameplay, weapons and enemies are all quite diverse, and most are quite fun!!! Ammo management is extremely important though, and that does unfortunately lead to two of the games late guns being rare to use, as you don't get back as much as you really use.

Unfortunately, there are a couple bugs I personally encountered. A lot of the time corpses like to just stand and A pose or be in some odd pose with no real explanation.... and the worst bug I encountered is the cutscene in chapter 10 does not work. You can only see isaac in it as he talks to the void and things magically happen nearby. Apart from that, I encountered minimal issues.

It's the original Dead Space but better.

Yeah I know some people would get upset by this but as a huge fan of the entire PC Dead Space franchise (yup, 3 wasn't THAT bad and Awakened is awesome go away) this game sits up there with the System Shock remake in being a remake of a game that makes the original awesome game obsolete. I mean I won't say not to play the original, but if you just want to load up a beautiful game that keeps everything from the OG and improves on it this is your huckleberry.
