Reno man facing sexual assault against a child charges flees

RENO, Nev. (KOLO) - A Reno man who the Washoe County DA’s Office says was facing child sex crime charges has cut off his ankle monitor and fled the area.

Joseph Daniel Matson has been charged with sexual assault against a child under the age of 16 and lewdness with a child under the age of 14.

Matson was last seen in the area of Salman Way in Reno around noon on Friday.

Anyone with information on his location is asked to call law enforcement.
