Wow.
.They do the shit what I normally think 'Nah, they wont do that' since it is a shame for such big brand. Don't they have shame? Don't they think "I'm too big for this student hacker stuff"? Really, wtf.
Thaf feaking TV collect 4gb of data in their house and send it to LG in one month. It even contained the name of services running on the same PC in a network with the fact that it ran team viewer! That's sick. Your TV knows what teamviewer is.
Also, it send all the device names to LG from your network containing of course names of your friends and whatnot. What can you do with it is not even the right question. It's just a fact that it should not collect those things and it does not accidentally. It is programmed to do so. And not with a little effort.
Your TV: 20% entertainment device, 80% spy..
Oh, i see now that this video will go on for three hours. I am wachting it while doing stuff. Even that is sick, that it is possible to make 3hrs of content to tell what bastards they are.
You can opt out for certain data collection but it still will send signals when you use your TV and such. Again, the value of the data doesn't matter, it's just that it shouldn't. Also, if your device has issues, you'll see that it was probably such loser metric function instead of real functionallity.
