Forgotten feature request
Oh, this one is nice. Of course saved to use someday. We all know how that ends. It ends in the abyss.
But that reminds me of @Lensflare's feature request for giphy integration. I didn't want to have remote shit that you need to configure because not very portable etc. I came to mind. Nobody else will ever host this platform. The biggest thing that will ever happen to the project is that I will refactor it to some custom community. But it's clear that this thing will remain ours and no one elses so we can also brand hardcore.
Those "oh, let's write this shit generic so we can attach other database in future" and all that shit is so destructive. You should not worry that much about the future. You'll see.
So, guys, what is the best image / gif integration?

Completely agree.
The 3 stages of professional development of devs:
Too many devs remain here and never realize that this is wrong.
You become a real professional.
I worked for a curtain company. A large one (made 300.000.000+ annually). White label stuff. And they had classes named PleatCurtain etc and all accessoires hartcoded and such and thought for short time that they were retarded. Not at all, most based guy ever (remote one) and he said it's less maintenance that way and now you know stuff is always right because technically everything is defined on class level so that's a burden less. Yes, if you would make this stuff generic with a bunch of type and relationship tables and so on its very hard to debug and it's a true study for the guy that has to manage it.
Could make long story but he convinced me.
Also, I said at the beginning that it was terrible shit and he said I am just not used to reading code. You know what, he was right. Sometimes the code doesn't suck, but you do. I was just not on the same level (while already had worked for 20 companies or so). For me it's very rare to meet someone more based.
But yeah, you'll not see me complain about code quality. I blame the complainer in most cases.
OK, next one: bench marking. Just quit it.
Just be careful what you use for the feature. Just read about this one yesterday.
"Separately, the Zero Day Initiative (ZDI) published an advisory on October 15 about an unpatched flaw in rlottie, the library Telegram apps have used to draw animated stickers. The flaw, tracked as CVE-2026-111105 (CVSS score: 7.0), can let an attacker run code if a user opens a malicious file or page, ZDI said.".
