Why is it so hard to make friends with other developers?
Nobody understands how hard it is to sit on my ass all day while my wife complains about the lack of attention I give her. Anyone else relate?

I’d be more concerned with fixing the relationship with your significant other than talking bollocks to someone who also sits on their arse all day.

I worked with a guy with wife and kids, his conversations were so fucking long.. he complained all the time. I understand complaining about bad guys/clients, bad payment and stupid kids and wife for few minutes a week. I dreaded all his conversations. If i don't talk that much doesn't mean that i'm a good listener and want to listen to negative boring shit for hours.
