JS96182478yI loved the first season, but stopped watching it after about 2 episodes of the second, it became absurd nonsense shit.
But it's just my opinion, I know a lot of people who still love it, and maybe I will try again to watch it entierly one day. -
JS96182478y@SheShell the first season was pretty realistic and everything seems "normal".
In the first episodes of the second it seems completly a different series, we don't see the regular life of the protagonist (work, relationships with his friend, etc.), and his mental health got 100 times worse for no reason, exponentially. -
sigfried5258y@JS96 that's why you should have kept watching. He explained that in a future episode. And it blew my mind.
I'm not gonna spoil it -
The only accurate hacker-esque show. Still watch "Hackers" for teh nostalgia and teh lulz
-
@JS96 it definitely gets better after the first few episodes. I think the second season is definitely less focused on the hacking part and more focused on Elliot's condition. Still pretty good though!

sSam14658ySeen all episodes. Guess it's better than average technology related shows, but I don't really understand why everyone likes it that much. -
Mitiko60998yThe beggining of season 2 was very very very slow, so I almost gave up watching it. Continued 2 weeks later. The end was amazing! -
Also loved the first season before it started turning into more of a drama. I still like it and watch it, but was disappointed to see the turn it made, and in my opinion not for the better.

@NULLmaster My thoughts exactly. If you liked it for the hacking focus then it will seem worse. However if you enjoy the mental/emotional drama type of series then it only gets better.
I found that the hacker focus without all of the absurdities of other series (ex. two people sharing a keyboard in a CSI cyber series) was pretty refreshing. -
py2js27248yAdding to other people's thoughts that it is awesome. They even used elasticsearch and kibana in one of their episode.
