These foreign Indian scammers keep calling me about "computer virus".

Today, the guy told me to press ctrl + Windows key. I told him I use Arch Linux and then told him I use Netscape as my browser, and he still didn't take the hint.

He asked me "how can you have the Windows key on your keyboard and use Linux?".

#stupidfuck

Yeah. These outdated scammers still exist. They feel since people in India fall for em foreigners would also fall for their tactics.

@silverstar "outdated" foreigners are their targets in the first place.

@electrineer Yes but I simply can't digest that there exist foreigners who are outdated on at least some of these common scams. People here tend to believe whatever bs you throw at them except some exceptions ofc.

Same thing happened to me. He ran tree command and while it was running, typed IP Hacked. So when the command finished running the console output those words on a new prompt line. So I told him, run it again, and while it was running, I started mashing random keys on my keyboard too.

You know the result haha! He was so shocked he tried a couple of times and then went to ask his supervisor 😂 I switched off meanwhile.

@silverstar you won't believe the millions of dollars they lose because of these scammers. There are a lot of people who fall for it
