Not really faulty logic since is not making a comparison. He is remarking upon the idea behind a collective group of people whining and worrying about something that inevitably leads to: not a damned change.

So, everyone was acting like the takedown o net neutrality being an apocalyptic event....everyone is complaining about this merge. But the end result of such mass hysteria would be just that....hysteria.

I know that a merge and the passing of a law are completely different things and so is op. That was not the point though
