@gitlog not at all, only latter I've discovered that those combinations came from DOS era. If I remember correctly first time I've seen them in command line in Windows

Peak pain, felt this in my soul. It's exactly why I stopped hovering over long scripts to "just check on it" — now I fire the command through a tiny notifier (cmdn) and walk away entirely, so I'm nowhere near the keyboard when the urge to stray-ctrl+c strikes.
