Root775304dRelatable. Though I suppose it was relatable years ago. Over the past few, I’ve been struggling to get anything done, and not completely collapse from stress and burnout.
Best of luck with your job search!

@Root Thanks, that same problem is the reason I try to force myself to have the "don't care" mindset, I hate the current project I'm working on
-
@BordedDev yeah, some people just do care. I have that too. Slacking would be a torture.
-
@whimsical Yeah, I spent a lot of time on fixing the whole thing, but it's no longer appreciated (except by the one other dev that joined recently). And indeed limiting that is torture, but if I don't I'm going to have to deal with someone with a small penis and thinks he knows more than he actually does. Never mind that I hate the whole stack, but that's old news to you I'm sure

Root775303d@BordedDev Hey, at least you’re allowed to improve things.
If I touch anything that isn’t strictly required for my ticket, I get chewed out and told to revert it, or to file a ticket to refactor whatever it was and put the work there…,which then gets ignored until it’s automatically deleted. 👍🏻 -
@Root Yup, also not allowed to, that's what I mean about the guy with the small penis
Company is not doing well so decided to go job hunting again, or rather respond on linkedin. Didn't think I cared that much, but I have been unable to finish the work I need to do, something that I should be able to do in a day at most. Half of me is "remember you don't care" the other half is "why are such a slacker, useless piece of shit"
Anyway, first call with an actual recruiter was positive
