I hate office parties. It's not because I have the social skills of a rock. Language issues (and not the ones computers use) cripple you socially. Especially if you have social awkwardness to start with.
I'm just hiding in the toilet right now, waiting for the clock to strike 6 so that I can make some excuse of an appointment and leave. xD

    The trick to being socially awkward ... is to grab life by the balls and jump head first into the party.

    I'm an extroverted introvert, you just need to be able to laugh with the crowd laughing at you.

    @C0D4 I wouldn't do that as I don't like laughing at nothing. Some parties are just not worth going to

    @electrineer It wasn't my idea. They started it at 5:30 PM and work hour is till 6. I was forced to leave my computer and join it. Everyone just stopped working.

    @exceptionalGuy Did you survive the party? I hate office parties too but just because I have the social skills of a potato. An antisocial potato. Meh.

    @vanesa I did. I found my team and stood next to them pretending to be a part of their conversation. And at 6, I just left the workplace. :p
