Imposter syndrome.
A question guys, I'm a web dev since 2012, started with php, then shifted to frontend, for 3 years my main was PHP and basic HTML CSS, in 2017 I shifted to / did courses on vuejs, angular and react (loved angular the most) also laravel. Have also dabbled a bit in python, for crawling and mining. The problem is I've never worked with a team or for a full fledged Dev company, so I'm unsure as to how to judge my growth and whether I'm moving in the right direction. I feel like I need a lot better understanding of Linux usage and server control, or should I learn nativescript etc.

What do you suggest? Should I simply look for a mentorship program, if yes any clue where?

    Well what do you want to do? In what kind of environment do you want to work?

    @Commodore I'm not exactly sure, I mean I love problem solving and coding in general, but I mean I love all of it. Definitely want to stick to web dev work majorly though, as to the environment, I'm good as is (I suffer from crippling anxiety, so working on my own works), my only concern is I don't have a barometer to judge myself against, or somebody to guide my progress.

    Both directions unlock different things.

    Personally I went the server management side, having that background gave me a greater understanding of the stacks and what you can / can't do with your code base(s)

    But at the same time, a shift to Mobile dev never hurt anyone - physically.

    Try to find an agency, work on different client and projects, maybe different agencies... Work along some other developers before going on your own without any experience... But don't choose a product driven company, choose a service driven: more variety.

    That would be my suggestion.
