Friend : hey! I wanna buy a laptop.. range is about entry level nothing hi fi! But it should work for 3-4 years.

Me : sure.. give me a few hours..i'll get back.

*Looks all around foe the best thing in that price range.

*Sends a list of laptops ranked based on value for money.

Friend : bought it! Yay! 😎😎😎

*Buys the shittiest laptop they could find at that price range with an absolute old age processor.

    I have stopped giving hardware advice to people. I am picky on hardware, if I find something I would accept I've probably found something too expensive compared to the actual needs. If I find something cheap I am stuck supporting some shitpile Celeron or Atom computer

    Best excuse (since most people want laptops): Sorry, I can tell you a lot about desktop computers but I don't work with laptops.
