Netux16510yNot a native english speaker, but I pronounce it 'rooter'. Never heard of anyone pronouncing it in any other way. -
spongessuck615010yNative English speaker here: Definitely "rowter." If I heard someone call it a "rooter" I'd probably laugh. -
helloworld919610yFuck off with your 'rowter" pronunciation. The 'rowter' pronunciation is for this woodworking tool.

Saborknight29210y@daemonAD consider Google's base though ;)
Rooter. Why? Because rawter just screams American for me. The last thing I want is locals from whatever country I'm travelling to looking at me like an old disease. -
spongessuck615010y@h3ll Yes I am. We can add this to the long list of words pronounced differently across the Atlantic.
Oddly enough, routes you drive on are usually pronounced "root" around here. -
Native English speaker from Canada. I say "rowter". Never heard it pronounced any other way, even when I've been to the states.

How do you guys pronounce router?
rowter (as in rowdy) or rooter?
