Such bullshit, I don't even wanna argue anymore. But man, it's so tough to make something which goes against every principle of what you have ever learnt. I mean, I'm coding it, and my brain refuses to help because the idea is soo bad. God I'm soo frustrated.

And that is what I call cargo cult management.

Since they don't have jack shit of an idea how to run a successful business, they just end up imitating the easy parts of others.

That's their "business research" you're hearing about. Some successful company, probably Crapple, made one of their buttons gray, so now you're expected to make the same thing happen, because of a classic logical fallacy :

* Crapple is successful
* Crapple is using gray buttons

Therefore : Anyone using gray buttons will be successful.

They've never been taught basic logic, so this makes total sense to them.

Add a massive bit of both confirmation bias and Dunning Kruger effect to the mix and you have a recipe for disaster.

BTW : look up cargo cults if you haven't. It's an amazing story behind them that might just tell you a thing or ten about human behavior.
