Being 25 and just now getting employable dev etc skills is really quite daunting when you learn of the old geniuses like Bill Joy, Linus, Wozniak and then hear daily stories of 16 year olds doing amazing things.
Inexperience in a field where everyone demands experience is scary. Still excited to see where I Can l can get though.

    I'm new in the industry as well. 35 yo, and taking this engineering degree pretty late in life. It's so scary, 'cause I really suck at it! Cheer up mate!

    You both can do it by working hard and learning every day. I have seen it hundreds of times. Keep improving your skills.
    It is a great profession and as Chris said this is a great supportive community. We will help you as best we can.

    Don't sweat it. With the tools and the Internet at your disposal you can learn at a much quicker pace than those guys

    I am optimistic about the relative infinite employability of skills like these. Also enjoying so much of the learning too.

    each of the guys you listed did amazing things without waiting for someone to give them a job.

    I used to be scared as shit about this (particularly the 16 years old making amazing shit part). I learned that if you have the drive to learn and improve, it's not worth sweating.
