Might want to switch power profile & cpu governor.. :)

There might be some cpu & chipset specific optimizations you're missing out on.

Disable unused services, like Bluetooth.

Also reducing monitor brightness helps.

For me that depends on what I'm running. It can say I have hours left when I've got nothing open and then I start working with softwares and the time goes down drastically. Maybe the same case with you?

@lotd oh man you remind of that. Ever since I stopped Android kernel development (actually tweaking can't count it as a development) I stopped playing my Linux box kernel, better get back to the job 😀

Check out powertop or tlp, also @linux doesnt lie, gnome does @Microsoft, @linux never estimates a time it only gives the remaining charge and tthe current power comsumption :p
