@Treveloper The department is only like 3 employees, they are so accustomed to using cold fusion because thats all they have ever known to use for the last 10 years. When i talk to them about switching to something like PHP, im shot down lol

Collab is a good way to go, but since you already know you're the metaphorical smartest man in the room in your team, why not out perform them and show your boss' boss that YOU did that? It'd be great for your resume, and you'll climb up the rungs of the corporate ladder in a way a hacker speed climbs in COD online!
Show them what you've got :)
Also why not try becoming a simultaneous tutor for people looking to acquire a similar skillset that you've got? :) You could look to Udemy to become a tutor on a large level, that'll totally get you speeding along!

@obeq well its true though. just because I think it's a dead technology doesn't mean others do but I'm glad you agree but my boss doesn't seem to think that LOL
Okay so i graduated last year and got a job working for a place that sadly disappoints me in their web development practices. This place uses a dead technology(my opinion)called Cold Fusion by Adobe. They do not use any form of version control like Git and their sites are very shitty and the design and development is implemented very poorly honestly. It honestly makes me sad that i feel like im smarter than my department vp. That being said i do not feel challenged here and am looking to collaborate in some open source projects via Github preferably.I dont consider myself an expert in this field but i would say im about intermediate level in web development. Im pretty comfortable with HTML,CSS/SASS,PHP,JS/JQuery, and im pretty comfortable in the PHP framework Laravel. So if anyone is interested in collaborating or starting something up, id be so down for it. :)
