I deny shit like that. I get that work is work...but I am already there every day from 8 to 6. We do get paid if we work on the weekends. But as a vet I already know what putting a job before the family can do to you. I constantly remind my boss that if me denying to drive 35 mins to work on saturday or sunday is going to be an issue that then we might need to reconsider my position. Sorry not sorry, my me time comes first, being a dev is stressfull as fuck as it is.

If it’s not in your contract you don’t have to do it - don’t do it because you feel bad, it’s their fault
