CPI, coffee programming interface. Pretty much my boss wired a Pi0 to his coffee pot somehow and uses the GPIO pins to detect when the pot is done brewing and stops heating the top, then it sends a message to him on Slack.

    For all of you asking why I called this dumb: there's a tea/coffee feud in the office. The kettle the tea drinkers use has an audible chime when it's ready; so our boss improvised for the coffee pot.
