Same for telegram scammers. I mostly play along but for some reason they always know that I'm not the real deal. But my telegram bot instructed to be stupid and rich (Saying he's not technical and has issues with the navigation of his brabus and such :p) kept them quite long busy. But some of them are bots that do the pre-work. They're trying to get information from you for when the real scammer works and some are directly people. There seem to be noobs and pro's. But all of them in the end want you to connect to WhatsApp (so they can collect your phone number and see picture and such) to the real scammer.

I wanted to investigate how their scams work but failed. Interesting one is with upvoting restaurants for money. They offer a salary so high, but also counted the amount of restaurants and was like hmm, only an idiot would be fooled by this.

So, now I generated a big book with Chinese LLM describing all the scams available. The scam handbook. If someone is interested...

The scams on telegram mostly is called pig butchering iirc.

The perplexity sub is full of people looking for alternatives after the big drama (80 cents per deepsearch now) and I told some people about my bot having the same quality. The search engine behind it (combination of all rate limited qualitative search engines) could not handle so much people anyway. Just like exa, it will fetch and clean the pages from the urls as content in the json. Thanks to that, I have to program way less in my apps, since fetching so many different sources comes with error handling, timeouts and so on. Having one place where it's done right is very zruchno && udobno.
