I'm wondering if I should start looking for new work already. I've been here six months. I really miss working on Linux, I miss my previous income, and I'm so sick of working logistics. Everything at this shop is a continual dumpster fire.

They have tuition reimbursement, so I could potentially work on my MBA. But it also requires me to stay with the company for 1 year after the completion of each semester they reimburse. Might be worthwhile if I apply for a management role.

@jestdotty I'm not a big fan of the slave narrative. Biggest part of my live I've laughed for actually getting paid.

Need some background. You're doing some logistics job? How come?

I do not miss working but I do miss office 😕. Really loved it. But with the current situation of society and whatnot, I don't fit in anymore and don't see a reason to work anymore. Sink in it everyone. Sounds better in Dutch.

I'm not a slave at all! They pay us. I still make six figures, but I'm down $30k/yr from my last job (that I got laid off from). I'm doing logistic because it's the only job I could find. It's all C#/.NET.

I can go in to the office if I want. Managers are required to (I think twice a week or more?) but no one else does. I was going to go in once a week but that didn't last long. It's been so long I don't even know where my office keycard is.

@jestdotty I often think that people tried to tell us, but young us didnt listen.

I think this, because Im trying to warn those around me and they don't seem to appreciate it.

I also vaguely remember a lot of thing I was warned about as a kid and I ignored most of it because young me felt invincible :D no problem too big to overcome... Well my mortgage thinks differently and the job market is absolutely awful (not my problem exactly, but people around me have issues)

@Hazarth no people just said all the time i'd end up successful because I was intelligent and had the right personality traits apparently

they even did this when I was an adult. so people refuse to network with me because they think I'm made for something better. ok...

... and then if I do get a job interview they think I'm so incompetent I need to sign up to html weekly newsletters?
