84 hours. Took alot of coffee and adderall. Had 5 projects with reasonable deadlines until mother fucking hurricane Katrina decided it wanted to be the best cocksucking blowing bitch around and knocked power out for two weeks. I managed to get 3 projects finished before i passed out for a day but two clients got pissed off cause their projects were late. They were pissed off even more when i had to pull the Forced Majeure clause cause they wanted to be bitches and didn't want to pay for my work
TL;DR: Hurricane didn't kill me so deadlines tried6 -
When you're hard at work on an algo but forgot to take your ADHD medicine so the squirrels are fighting outside but need to check Facebook statuses and having a dance party to Cotton Eyed Joe is a great coworker on LinkedIn which is now coded in Ember JS is weird compared to Python and my pencil is a funny color and my keyboard is shiny. I forgot the punchline. I'm gonna have a bowl of cereal. What was I doing?8

I worked 76 hours in a row once, when I first learned Laravel.
I wanted to see if I could clone a site I created 10 years earlier that took 2 months.
I succeeded.
I took copious amounts of Adderall, though.

take adderall and stay up coding all night extremely effectively, but then u keep going and by the end of it you're just optimizing your vim plugins and installing a new linter

I just watched this documentary called "take your pills" and seeing the weird programmer they interviewed I got curious about how many DevRanters use Addy as a coding booster? Would you consider it just a normal performance enhancer like caffeine? Have you tried it?
I've only noticed coffee heads like myself here and I was wondering if some of the people that aren't are against the use of Adderall too.
I'd love to hear some thoughts on the subject.

When you decide to take a brake from coding and open reddit to laugh a little, then suddenly your adderall kicks in along with your 3rd cup of coffee and then realize 4 hours have gone by and you have not done shit but laugh at memes.... 🤦🏼♀️

My last Saturday (no atomoxetine):
- laid in bed
- watched youtube
My today's Saturday (yes atomoxetine):
- went to the store for food (leaving my home is a HUGE problem for me, can't overstate this)
- washed dishes
- swiped every room
- deep cleaned cat's litter box
- deep cleaned the toilet
- washed both sinks
- did the laundry
- cleaned all three of my laptops
- cleaned my monitor
- washed both mousepads
- took a shower
- reorganized the storage room
- reorganized the bookshelf (yes, it's singular, and I store quite a bit there: books, chargers, etc.)
I recommend Atomoxetine to everyone who's autistic/ADHD. It's a great option if you don't have access to Ritalin or Adderall. If they're illegal in your country (Russia, I'm looking at you), chances are that Atomoxetine is legal.
Can't imagine my productivity on something way stronger like Adderall. Soooo desperate to get it.14 -
It's the best thing ever where watching one tutorial doesn't work. So you go to another. Then you see a suggested video that's unrelated to your current task, but it's a short video. So you quickly watch it.
Boom. Next thing you know, it's fucking 45 minutes later and you just watched some random ass dude's entire fucking life story in his vlogs.
Fuck my life an Adderall would be fantastic right now. -

Anyone considered substance use to make you a better programmer? Personally I struggle with concentration for more than 6 hours a stretch and I just started vaping with no nicotine but I just read this and maybe it's what I need?

a nearly lethal amount of adderall as well as a small paper cup filled with liquid cocaine. Also somehow getting heart-burn from a singular french fry.4

Sometimes during my coding raids the psytrance hits so hard I feel it triggers some reaction in my adderall intoxicated brain. Feels like i could split space with my focus4
