Never thought an Icon Font library would make a million bucks in Kickstarter. Check out Font Awesome's campaign if you're a fan. They've got some sweet backer rewards.

Today I Learned that the Hooli logo, from Silicon Valley, exists in the FontAwesome library.
I don't know what to do with this information.

And then suddenly our website loses all its icons, Slack chat errupts in panic and then we figure out that fontawesome itself has gone offline
What a wonderful world we live in8 -
Just backed the Kickstarter for FontAwesome 5. They've asked for 30k and are on 200k+ already. I think I need to get into making things that look nice.

I can't believe FontAwesome doesn't have a devRant icon yet... And the request to add it has been there for almost 2 years now :/2

Not so long ago i met a webdesigner from one of my projects. Before that i did not know that Fonts like FontAwesome exist (except that crap default Font from MS). I was so happy, no more working / designing my applications with fucking images or other workarounds! THANK YOU5

We hired someone to make the new front site because I was too busy.
The guy had a plain text password system to show, mispronounced "FontAwesome", and used WordPress.
He was not an instructor but was supposed to be the "senior option" for when I couldn't do something for any reason.
I later asked him for some opinion on how to translate the site, and he disabled the Captcha plugin. I. Don't. Know. Why. I figured because of all the spam I got suspiciously after he "took a look" at the admin panel.
Luckily I could get him out of the contacts and now we are looking for more devs. -
I really don't understand why my company is so slow when it comes to change. We have a very small engineering team (<100 people), but it takes MONTHS to get anything done. They have spent the last 4-6 months getting FontAwesome Pro into the platform, been taking 8 months to get engineering levels out the door, and we've been lagging on choosing between React or Angular as our upgrade from AngularJS (yes it is the old one) for a year.
Is this normal? I am on the FE and don't know much about our dependencies, but it should not take this long to make a simple decision. The whole migration process will take time, but be decisive for Jesus' sake.2 -
Worked on open-source for the first time. Learned python and wrote script to upgrade fontawesome from 4 to 5 by replacing the icon names.

This is the situation:
I worked on a small project on freelance.mx: The project name is: "A Grid System with Bootstrap and Hover.css | Fontawesome Combination"
By the time I finished it, the client changed almost half of the requirements and told me that I didn't complete the work as It was supposed to and asked me to change it. He wanted that grid system to work as a sidebar as well...
He asked me then to make some modifications and adapt the code to fit the new requirements. I said: "I would do that but I would need to charge you more for that since a grid system and a sidebar are two distinct things and also these are new requirements"
Today is 7 days since I haven't heard anything from him and I sent him a message. He said that I didn't finish the work properly and marked the work on the platform as "Incomplete".
What should I do? This is unfair... Is there any way I can get the payment from this guy?
This is the first job I have on freelance.mx and it will make me have bad reputation.
Any advice?10 -
