TL;DR: Teacher wants to invest in my company 😲
So, just this morning as I headed to class (still in school, 17 years old, from Germany) someone tapped me from behind - a female teacher whom I've only seen a few times (She is a really nice and friendly teacher who teaches economics)
She asked me: Aren't you the young businessman? I've seen your interview, fantastic! (Background info: I recently founded my second firm (Webdevelopment, Design and Marketing) and was quite often in the media (local newspaper, television, radio))
Quite unsure, I responded: "yeah, right".
Promptly she asked: "Is there some way I can invest in your company? Perhaps in stocks?" (Of course we can't offer stocks, we're just a small local company lol)
Me: "There always is a way I guess?" (I was extremely grateful but didn't know how to respond)
Her: "Great! Would you mind sending me an email with your contact info?"
What the fuck just happened. 😂15 -
I was an intern - as a high school student. They had no idea what to do with an intern, let alone a high school student that was only there around three hours a day.
They tried to saddle me with a massive "how to use Perforce" manual, but I flat refused and told them to give me some real work.
In the end I wound up writing a text parser in Python to get some specific info from some files. They decided it wasn't actually needed after I finished it (I don't think they expected me to), on my last week there. I just played solitaire the rest of the time. I learned a few things:
1. I never want to work at Adtran.
2. Perforce should die in a fire.
3. Experience != Expertise.
4. Don't be afraid to put yourself on the line if it means potentially accomplishing something.3 -
I was refactoring the most underneath part of our server code and just found 'getUserGender' method. I think for a second:We don't have this info. Look inside:
return name.endsWith('a')?"female":"male";
😑 it's surprising how much it works in Brazil.14 -
Bossman freaks out over every little thing (ironically unless it's important).
Bossman also just set our papertrail 500 filter to forward him a copy of every "critical alert."
Fuck me.
He has zero technical knowledge and zero reading comprehension. He literally forwarded one and said "This has one lots of info in it. explain it to me." (It was a log usage notification. in plain English. It had maybe three numbers in it.)
There's lots of useless "500"s in the list we don't care about. API Guy used the finer as a debugging alert system, and peppered his logs with "500 internal hey look at this." In fact, none of the 500s were even interesting; all but one was spam.
All day I've been tending to freakouts and accusations of me not doing anything. Ugh.8 -

I had a discussion with a coworker earlier.
I owed him for lunch the other day, and he suggested I pay him back either with cash (which I didn't have), Venmo, or just by him lunch the next time (which I ended up doing).
I asked about Venmo, and he said it was like paypal, but always free. that sounded a bit off -- because how are they in business if it's always free? -- so I looked it up, and paid special attention to their privacy policy.
The short of it: they make money by selling your information. That's worth far more than charging users a small fee when sending $5 every few weeks. Sort of what I expected when I heard "always free," but what surprised me is just how much they collect. (In retrospect, I really shouldn't have been surprised at all...)
Here's an incomplete list:
* full name, physical address, email, DoB, SSN (or other government IDs, depending on country)
* Complete contact list (phone numbers, names, photos)
* Browser/device fingerprint
* (optional) Your entire Facebook feed and history
* (optional) all of your Facebook friends' contact info
* Your Twitter feed
* Your FourSquare activity
(The above four ostensibly for "fraud prevention")
* GPS data
* Usage info about the actual service
* Other users' usage info (e.g. mentioning you)
* Financial info (the only thing not shared with third parties)
Like, scary?
And, of course, they share all of this with their parent company, PayPal. (The privacy policy does not specify what PayPal does with it, nor does it provide any links that might describe it, e.g. PayPal's "info-shared-by-third-parties" privacy policy)
So I won't be using Venmo. ever.
I mentioned all of this to my coworker, and he just doesn't understand. at all. He even asks "So what are they going do with that, send me ads? like they already do?"
I told him why I think it's scary. Everything from them freely selling all of your info, to someone being able to look through your entire online life's history, to being able to masquerade around as you, to even reproducing your voice (e.g. voice clips collected by google assistant), to grouping people by political affiliations.
He didn't have much to say about any of them, and actually thought the voice thing was really cool. (All I could think of was would happen if the "news" had that ability....) All of his other responses were "that doesn't bother me at all" and/or "using all of these services is so convenient."
but what really got me was his reaction to the last one.
I said, "If you're part of the NRA, for example, you'd be grouped with Republicans. If they sell all of this information, which they do, and they don't really care who buys it or what they do with it... someone could look through the data and very very easily target those political groups."
His response? "I don't have to worry about that. I'm a Democrat, and have always voted Democrat. I'll tell anyone that."
Like.
That's basically saying every non-democrat is someone you should be wary of and keep an eye on. That's saying Democrats are the norm and everyone else is deviant and/or wrong.
and I couldn't say anything after this because... no matter what I said, it would start a political conflict, and would likely end with me being fired (since the owner is also a democrat, and they're very buddy-buddy). "What if they target democrats?" -> "They already do!" or "What if democrats use it against others?" -> "They deserve it for being violent and racist, but we never would" (except, you know, that IRS/tea-party incident for example...)
But like, this is coming from someone who firmly believes conservatives are responsible for all of the violence and looting and rioting and mass shootings in the country. ... even when every single instance has been by committed by democrats. every. single. one.
Just...
jfl;askjfasflkj.
He doesn't understand the need for privacy, and his world view is just... he actually thinks everyone with different beliefs is wrong and dangerous.
I don't even know how to deal with people like this. and with how prevalent this mindset is... coupled with the aforementioned privacy concerns... it's honestly *terrifying.*65 -
follow on from my last rant.
I've finally gotten my new Jira project. Only thing I seem to have access to change is the Kanban board columns. Still has 50+ fields when creating a ticket etc.
Asked the support team handling the request if this was a mistake. He said no, i'll need to open another ticket to have those changes requested.
Opened and got a reply. Currently there are 2 versions of Jira running. They are working on consolidating them atm and won't help me right now until this is done. I've been asked to re-open my request after the consolidation is done in March 2019.
5 ... fucking ... months, so I can have a competent ticketing process.
He pointed me to a page explaining the move and listing all the changes taking place. Well lets look at the changes they are making that are so critical:
Change 14: Rename "More info" status to "Needs more info".
... Oh pardon me. I didn't realise such critical show stoppers were being addressed. Please do continue. Don't mind me, i'll just be over here taking 4 hours to create an Epic and 6 stories. As you were9 -

I went to buy flowers for [redacted event] and gave the florist my CC info, number, and email for a receipt. He was a nice old man who loves what he does, and makes beautiful arrangements. But. He just emailed me all of my CC info, and asked what part of it was wrong. Twice. Emailed. Plain text. SMTP.
Guess who's requesting a replacement card?

Request: I don't like the way the page looks. Make it better.
Question: can you give me some more info? What is it that you dislike about the page? You approved the design, the mockup, the HTML version...and we just finished implementing the backend. Can you be more specific?
Response: make it more like this *gives link to completly new layout from a theme on themeforest*. Why does mine not look like this. Make it like this!
Reaction: *fuck this shit, never freelancing again...* Well, then do it yourself. I'm done!

Hello again, everyone. I've been busy with all the paperwork at my ship (will make a post about it later) but for now, I'll bore you with another story (not navy one, fortunately) to justify my slacking off.
And this story... is the story on how I got into ITSec. And it is pretty damn embarrassing. It all began when I was 16. I was hooked on battleknight.gameforge.com, a browser game. My father had just had ADSL installed at our home, and the new opportunities before me were endless. Well...
After I've had my fill with the porn torrents and them opportunities dwindled to just a few dozens, I began searching for free games, and I stumbled on that game. I played a lot, but as a free-to-play game, it was also pay-to-win. I didn't have a credit card, so I paid for a few gems with SMS messages. Fast forward a couple of years, I got into the Naval Academy. A guy came in to advertise something (I think it was an encyclopaedia or something - yes, wikipedia wasn't a thing back then) and to pay for it, we could apply for a credit card. So I applied. And I resisted the temptation for a year.
Note: prepaid wasn't that known where I live, so using credit cards was the only way for online transactions.
So I made 1 transaction. Just one. After a couple of months my monthly report from the bank came, showing a 2.5$ (I think) transaction on Paypal. I paid no mind, thinking that it was some hidden fee. Oh boy, I shit you not, I was THAT much of an idiot. Six months later, BOOM!
600$ transaction to ebay via paypal. You can imagine all those nice things that came to my mind. In any case, the bank accepted my protest that I filed at their central offices and cancelled the transaction. I promptly cancelled my card, destroyed it right there for good measure, and got to thinking... what the fuck just happened?
As many people here, I am afflicted with a deadly virus, called curiosity. I started researching the matter, trying to figure out how. And, because I didn't like black boxes and "it is just like it is" explanations, I tumbled down the rabbit hole of ITSec. I soon found out that, not only it was possible, but also it was sometimes EXTREMELY easy to steal credit card info. There are sites, to this very day, that store user info (along with credit cards info) IN FUCKING CLEARTEXT. Sometimes your personal, financial and even medical info are just an SQLi away.
So, I got very disillusioned on many things. But I never regretted it. It may cause me to age prematurely and will kill me of stroke or heart attack one day, but as I still tumble down the ITSec rabbit hole, I can say with confidence that
I REGRET NOTHING
Plus, my 600$ were returned, so look on the bright side :)1 -

At beginning of this year, I only knew HTML, JS, and CSS so I just applied for offers like "Jr Apprentice Dev in Front-End"
In a interview call, the woman told me that they will send me a test asking about my JS and HTML5 knowledge.
When I look in my inbox, the mail subject says "Back-end Test".
Then I call the woman:
Me: "Hello, I have received the test mail, but maybe it's wrong. I applied for a Front-End position and the test is about backend! "
She: "Do you have skills in JS and HTML5?"
Me: "Yes!, and CSS3"
She: "Well, the test is about that. JS, jQuery, and HTML5"
Me: "..."
Me: "Sorry, that languages are Front-End. In the subject say 'Back-End' and Back-End is PHP, SQL, MySQL, Java, .Net... I don't know nothing about that. I only know HTML, JS, CSS."
She: "It's the same"
Me: "I sorry but it's not the same. Fron-End is client-side, what users sees. Animation, colors, FXs, buttons, forms... And Back-End is server-side, what users doesn't see."
She: "Well, JS, HTML, and CSS is backend for us. We call it that way too"
Me: "Sorry but that is wrong. I invite you to read some basic info. Now I am confused"
Of course that I am not confused. That idi0t was wrong.
Perhaps recruiters should take some info about areas where they are recruiting... (:T)3 -
The gym I go to has an app for user's to scan a QR code when they arrive and it has multiple HUGE issues.
This app shows the credit card info used for the direct debit without anything being redacted.
When the gym is signing up someone they give them a password so they can login, not too bad except the password is always the person's first name with the first letter capitalised.
This gets worse when you figure out that their is no way to change the password given to you AT ALL.
And just to top it all off, when you click the "Forgot Password" link on the login screen, the app just sends you an email with your password (your first name) in plain text.
The app also doesn't log you out or notify you if your login is used on a different device.
So I have tested this with 2 of my friends that go to the same gym and, with only knowing their email and first name (which I could have gotten from their email if I didn't know them), I can get into their app and see their credit card info without them being any the wiser.9 -
Show up on time.
Be prepared.
Have a list of things that need to be covered if you're leading the meeting.
Stay on track, don't let people start talking out of one tangent, I tend to suggest people discuss it afterwards or email about it.
Take the meeting seriously, otherwise other people will not.
Know how to talk a language everyone understands. Sometimes people with key info just aren't very technical.
Following Ely's golden rules for meetings, my meetings are rarely longer than 20 minutes.5 -
This happened via mail thread today.
Boss: we need this new brilliant feature I just made up and running asap! Top priority, it has to be done well, for my reputation is on the line!
Me: *looks at the specifics* 'kay, looks easy enough, this evening max and it will be ready. I just nees some extra info about what kind of data validations (I speak no accountant) are needed, and some other details (a total of 3 questiona).
B: Sure! Remember, it needs to be perfect, as my reputation is at stake. Call me on the phone and I'll give you the details!
M: Can't you answer via mail? Thua way both me and the other devs will have clewr guidelines
B: Just call me! Why do you need it to be written down? It's faster this way!
...Fine. I'll keep asking until you're ready to give me a written answer to my questions. No way I'll take security details via phone for something you want in production this evening. No chance in Hell I'll take responsibility for "misunderstanding" what you said on the phone. Why does it always has to be like that?8 -
Have a client that has a very, very large format printer (think billboards). It's on their network as just another printer, with no special security because everyone "knows" never to print to it....except the new employee who printed her direct-deposit info to it. Got about ten feet(!) into the job before someone realized it wasn't an authorized job.5

By heavens creating your own api server with the Go standard lib is so easy it should be fucking criminal.
Now....on to add authentication and a nice frontend stack(prob React) to make it all spiffy and show it to my manager and see if she lets me put this shit to use at work.
It will make it more interesting. It took me nearly 1 hour to get what I needed from the docs, build it using the net package first(das right babe, pure TCP) and just a couple of minutes more for net/http and boom. Ferching info and shit left and right
Man I love this shit. Wish I could do this for a living. Stuck fucking around with css, Java and php at work instead ;____;10 -

If you're a client and abuse the info given to you by any of the platforms to come visit me, I won't hestitate to call the police again, you fucking lunatic.
In what fucking mind does that even make sense, so damn lucky I wasn't actually here and just saw it on the CCTV, fucking trespassing piece of shit.

So at work with the Macs we use, we have some guy come in after hours to service the Macs, and that means the security risk of leaving our passwords on our desks.
Not being a fan of this I tell my boss, he knows it's a risk and despite that he doesn't want this guy coming in while we're here.
Though my main problem is the Mac guy Steve is arrogant and thinks he's a know it all, and with the software I have on the Mac may end up deleting something important, I have git repo and all but I feel off just letting someone touch my computer without me being there.
I tell my boss about the software and stuff he just says contact Steve and tell him about it, to ignore the software and such, I say alright, I write up an email telling him not to touch the software listed and the folders of software documents (again it's all backed up).
No reply, I tell my boss and he says call him, I call him and he hangs up on me on the second ring!
Not sure if he's busy, but I left him a message, asking if he got my email, no reply and it's coming close to the end of the day (going to service Macs in the weekend)
I'm just not going to leave my info because if this guy can't check emails or even get back to someone why should I bother with this bullshit of risking my work.
From all the info I hear about him and my previous rants he's an arrogant prick who loves Macs.
Can't wait to leave this company, pretty sure leaving my password on my desk is a breach of our own security policy, and since 8-9 people are doing it, it's a major risk.
But he's friends with the CEO so apparently it's fuck our own security policy.11 -
Hey fam, first post in devrant!
Possible client comes up to me and asks me what my mockup for his app looks like. I show it to him on running on my Android device.
Him: where are all the images and descriptions/info?
Me: you didn't give me any. I just made what it could look like if we had images and descriptions.
Him: well talk to some people in the departments and put it in.
Me: but that's not my job. You wanted me to make what it could look like if we actually went through with this project.
Him: okay. How hard would it be to make it for Apple?
Noooooooooo... I'm out.8 -
For two weeks I am paid 50$ an hour 6 hours a day / 5 days per week as someone called "Web deployment supervisor". The work is based on checking if the website throws an error and fixing it (devops) and staying in touc with the customer and helping him. The wevsite i wrote is just a small PHP site, well tested, almost no user input, if you dont drop whole DB it cannot basically crash. So for past week I am just copypasting documentation for the client what/how to do things. Today I already sent him same info 4 times. For me as a student and a freelance web dev it's a gold mine. I am having vacations for 14 days (thanks to damaged school water supply), getting paid 50$/hour for playing PUBG and using Ctrl+F in my Firefox, but god hell, it's so fucking psychically hard. Sometimes I have an urge to scream on that retard "I'VE SENT YOU THAT SAME SHIT 4 MINUTES AGO RETARD USE YOUR FUCKING SCROLL WHEEL IN OUR CHAT FOR FUCK SAKE".5

Today I am going to rant about this guy who I am working with in a group for creating a mobile application as a project for a course.
So let me give you some background info about this guy. He has 5 years of experience as data analyst from some company in India. Now he is here in Canada for his masters. I took him in the group thinking given his experience, he can be an asset. However, as I started talking to him it became clear that he has no experience with programming or software development. I am ok with that as everyone is new to something. However, he started intrupting and started giving negative feedback about each and every thing we discussed regarding the project. Don't get me wrong, I am all about getting feesback. But if someone who is just sitting there and just searching stuff on google just to bull shit with people to show that he knows stuff is irritating. He always provide useless feedback and solutions to any problems.
I was talking to him about his past working experience and his future plans after graduating. He literally said, "I want to learn just enough to fake in front of employer during interview. I was doing the same thing in my previous job." I was legit shocked at this moment.
Now I have to tolerate this for another 3 months. I am just worried about the project.7 -
This is fucking bad. I just stumbled across a database online, unencrypted plain text containing ALL details of thousands of students at my university. Full names, ID number (SSN), student numbers, address, family info, medical aid info, physical fitness reports
What do I do? I was not on any VPN or proxy when I accessed it19 -

Hello guys and girls!
My company tasked me to do something insane.
Little background info: I'm a trainee, in my first year (of three, even though I will shorten my apprenticeship to two years). I told my trainer that I like encryption in a somewhat private talk.
Now to the insane part. I got tasked to develop a whole security concept ~2 weeks ago to protect our products against industrial espionage. I feel in no way competent enough to achieve this especially because my concepts so far have been dismissed with a 'naaaah. Can't we just do X for now and add the other stuff later?' or 'we can't do that.'
I seriously don't want my name under a concept we would use world wide on our customers pcs which I know has serious flaws.
What should I do? What would you do?22 -
What features would you want in a logger?
Here's what I'm planning so far:
- Tagged entries for easy scanning of log file
- Support for indenting to group similar sequential entries
- Multiple entry types (normal, info, event, warning, error, fatal, debug, verbose)
- Meta entries, so the logger logging about itself, e.g. disk i/o failures.
- Ability to add custom entry types, including tag, log-level, etc.
- Customizable timestamp function
- Support for JS's async nature -- this equates to passing a unique key per 'thread'; the logger will re-write all the parent blocks for context, if necessary. if that sounds confusing, it's okay; just trust that it makes sense.
- Caching, retries, etc. in the event of disk i/o issues.
- Support for custom writers, allowing you to e.g. write logs to an API rather than console or disk.
How about these features?
- Multiple (named) logs with separate writers (console, disk, etc.)
- Ability to individually enable/disable writing of specific entry types. (want verbose but not info? sure thing, weirdo!)
- Multiple writers per log. Combined with the above, this would allow you to write specific entry types (e.g. error, warning, fatal) to stderr instead of stdout, or to different apis.
- Ability to write the same log entry to multiple logs simultaneously
What do you think of these features?
What other features would you want?
I'm open to suggestions!17 -
I just had my cell phone cloned yesterday. End of the day, my phone lost signal suddenly. I thought it was a problem with my chip, so I decided to check that on a store and buy a new one next day.
Today, after I recover my chip and number, I started to see the mess. Someone used my number to send message to all my contacts on whatsapp, asking for money. Also, I had some contact info changed on the bank broker, which is really serious. I do not know what else is compromised, and I'm truly worried about it.
Someone has some good tips for improving security while using cellphones?20 -
"Learn PHP! nearly 90% of the web is done in PHP"
That's EXACTLY the reason you DON'T want to work with PHP. Tutorials, SO answers, blogs, every source of info is FULL with bad practices, horrible patters or no patterns, spaghetti code... Most PHP devs are web scripters who have absolutely no background on software engineering whatsoever.
Do yourself a favor, unless you plan to learn Laravel and stick with it, don't, do not, don't'm'st, don't'm'st've go with PHP ... just don't20 -
A project I'm working on uses Elastic for internal monitoring and logs. The customer asked to access those logs - not something we'd normally do, but it's isolated from other things we use and there's no critical data there, so what the heck, let them have it.
Ever since, we're getting tons of questions like "There are tons of [insert random info message] all the time, do you have any plans to resolve them?" and it gets to the point where I'm just about ready to scream back "NO, SUZAN, BOOKING NOT COMPLETED MANS THE USER F###ING CANCELLED IT, IT'S NOT SOMETHING I CAN FIX IN THE CODE"

Only to be greeted by a finishing your Windows upgrade message.
It took fucking windows HALF AN HOUR to finish the upgrade.
After that my machine lost its built in cam, mic and speaker. Which I need for my work.
Took me two hours to hunt down the correct driver to install and find the info it must be installed in Win7 compatibility mode or it won't work. It was pure joy to install it plain first and it still didn't work.
Then VirtualBox refused to start. Took me half an hour to upgrade it and get it working again.
Took me half a day to just get the shitmachine working like it did yesterday so that I can START working.

A dev posts a link to his website on a dev group I admin, first thing said site does is ask for my location. I look, no map not logically apparent reason for it, so I close the site.
Ask they guy why he is asking for such private info and he responds to tell me that he does not think a person's exact location is that private, and if he really wanted it he would just use the IP address.
Like how many fucking levels of dense is that.5 -
Just submitted my first app to the Microsoft Store 🎉🎉
It's a simple offline password manager that also accepts other formats of data such as credit card and personal info.
Made it using WinUI 3. To prevent you from forgetting your master password, each "locker" accepts an unlimited number of passwords. If you forgot one, you can just use a different one. This is my idea to make offline password managers a little less of a hassle.
Can't wait for approval from the store!

Everyone talks about crappy categories of user on Stackoverflow - help vampires, rep whores, etc. - but the category of "people who don't care about the stupid mind games, politics or internet points and just want to help others" is so small people apparently don't even think it can exist.
I mean sheesh, I answer on there in my free time to just lend a hand to people, usually in a couple of niche tags that have very little info elsewhere, even for beginners. Of course there's questions that are beyond salvaging and just random homework dumps, but the majority are from genuinely confused users who simply don't know the correct terms to search for.
A question is not inherently evil just because its asker has misunderstood a key concept.
I'm not even asking you to help the poor sods, I'm just asking you to allow me to help without calling me a rep whore or a moron who'd be better talking to bots on reddit 🙄3 -
Security lifehacks 101
Why pay for password managers? Just use one secure password for every service you use! Password managers are really designed for fools who don’t know that you can just use one password for every service and who are ready to pay for that shit.
The best practice is to use your name starting with a capital letter + your main credit card number + CVC code from the back of that card as your go-to password. It’s long and hard to bruteforce and you can remember everything that way! You just need to remember that one password and you’ll always remember your payment info! No need for apple’s bad Apple Pay which is not so secure after all like everything else that Apple offers.19 -
Let's share information! Communicate! How do we do it? Via email!
You got question? Send an emai!
You want to share some excel? Send an email!
Not sure who to ask? Send the email to everyone!
Have a 100 message long email thread and then need some help? Send the whole fucking thread to me and just add "what do'ya think?"!
Send some attachment in email and then 2 weeks later refer to it saying "but I sent the file to you!"? Well surely I can remember your special email from the hundreds of email I get every week.
I did complain to the mangers that why the hell do we have these mega-email-threads? Why do you send all the meaningles release notes to the whole company? The anwer is simple: all information needes to be transparent and if you don't need the info, then just don't read the email!
And fuck you, you CEO wanna-be who sends seasonal greetings through his secretary and thinks anyone gives a shit.4 -
That moment you've been dreading for a week, when you've exhausted every single resource you can in finding a solution and you've put it off way longer than you ever should have.
When you might have to ask on ...StackOverflow...
So you spend an hour agonizing over your post. You double check your google searches in case there is some info out there that you may have missed. You include code samples. You check your spelling and grammar and you any 'fluff' from your post.
Finally you hit submit and watch as nobody responds, but the downvotes just keep piling up... and damnit you have no idea why.5 -
ME: Here's an endpoint to get all the textual info about the entity. And this one fine endpoint is to fetch entity's files
FrontEnd: This is no good. I need all entity info in a single JSON
ME: but files could be quite heavy, are you sure you wan...
FE: Yes, Just give me all the info in a single JSON
ME: okay... I hope you know what you're doing..
ME: <implemented as requested>
ME: <opens a webpage with 2 files attached>
Browser: <takes 30 seconds to open a page and downloads 30MB of data in the JSON>
ME: As mentioned before, your approach is a performance killer
FE: No worries, we'll fix that in the next version. First let's see if anyone will be using this feature at all - maybe it's not even worth working on
ME: <thinking> I know I would NOT be using an app if it takes over half a minute to open up a chat channel. FFS I wouldn't even be using Slack if it took 30 seconds to open some other conversation, because for some reason it wanted to fetch all the uploaded files along with all the messages each time a channel is clicked on.....
ME: <thinking> this project is doomed :(11 -
I feel so empty.
I can't keep up with what is being teached to us in the mathematical courses. Everything else is fine. "Algorithm and data structures" aka Info A (Programming in C++) and "Computer engineering" aka Info C (details of how a CPU, RAM etc. works) is understandable, but when it comes to math I, completely, am lost.
2-4 hours drive to university and 2-4 hours drive back to my home each day. Two oral examinations each week in Info A and Info C. Three assignments in Info A, Info C and math.
I was so naive to believe that I would be more free and have more free time as a student haha.
Maybe I should switch to a university of applied sciences. The classical university is too theoretical for me, but in the same time I know that I can't keep up with the time when I have to build a circuit in the university of applied sciences.
I am able to design and build a circuit, but I am slow. Probably because I am checking many times if I did it properly before testing it.
To my fellow German devRanters who have studied or tried to study: You all just read my situation and my thoughts. Am I wrong about what I am thinking about a university of applied sciences? How are the mathematical courses there in terms of difficulty?
If mathematics is at the same difficulty, I will try to do something else that has nothing to do with college. It just won't get into my brain.32 -
A half answer on SO gives me a pointer to a possible solution. Using that pointer, I actually find an answer and it's quite involved. So to help others with the same question, I edit the answer to complete it with the additional steps. No edits to the answer involved, just a few additional steps.
😡 The answer author comments that they appreciate the info, but they reject my edit so their answer isn't changed!
What a douchebag.2 -
I'm getting more and more triggered by my colleagues overusing words in seemingly random fashion.
The word 'perspective' comes up at least 6 times during a meeting, from an x perspective, from a y perspective. It would be fine in a design meeting but it's used _so fucking much_ I cringe every time I hear it.
Another one is 'standard', that gets put in front of every word nowadays, standard process, standard protocol, standard machine, standard pipeline. What does it mean? No clue, what does it add? Nothing.
'Please put this add the standard location.'
Where?
'The default one'
What?!
I remove it from documentation every chance I get.
Furthermore, some documentation changes make small pieces of information super long. A nice summary list of features? Make it at least 3 sentences for every bullet point. 1-sentence info with a reference link to more info? Scratch that let's include all information in that reference paragraph anyway. Sometimes they even expand English expressions for no reason, making them longer and harder to read.
WHYYYY
We always complain about shit documentation and yet we're oblivious to the fact that our own docs are so bloated. Stop repeating information, stop using useless adjectives, just put it all in 1 sentence and add dozens of code examples. One piece of code says more than a billion words.
I'm not innocent either. As a teen I was great at writing long pieces of text that seemed like a great read but were actually way too bloated for the information I needed to convey. It was great for reaching word limits.
Now I'm trying my absolute best to be as concise and to-the-point as possible because I know that nobody likes reading and people just want the information that they're looking for.
Even this rant is overly long, but thank god that it's just a rant and I can let off some steam.
Btw same thing goes for diagrams, too many icons, too much text, too many lines. When I try to submit a clean-as-fuck diagram I get asked to add more info/features to which I say No, we're already at the max.
I even got a PR for review that made some changes to add unnecessary information, I pointed it out and never heard anything from them again. I rejected the PR, and never saw a new one.
* Sigh *
It's just so strange to me, it's never clear to me why these things happen. I'm too much of a coward to point these things out unless they endanger the quality of the product. But maybe they just need somebody to tell it to them.5 -
Just because I know how to program doesn't mean I know how to fix your goddamn computer. We have an IT support team. Call them!
Don't come to my desk asking about a computer problem, then stand there with a vacant stare when I say I can't help you. I've given you the support team's contact info several times already. I assure you, they specifically get paid to configure your emails, install printers, setup your VPN, etc. Now where the hell was I at...1 -

On Tuesday my client states she will get me one more piece of info I need to launch the site.
On Wednesday, nothing.
On Thursday, nothing.
On Friday she berates me that the site is overdue and demands it be launched before Saturday so she can send the announcement email.
I remind her that I was waiting for the information.
She responds, testily, that the info wasn't mission critical after all and to just insert something as a placeholder. Oh, and that there had been a religious holiday and so nobody would have been available to respond to the information request anyways. Like I'm just supposed to know all that without anyone telling me.
I'm now trying to get the attention of our overseas developer, who is the only person who can pull this off, but he's likely clocked out for the weekend.
I'm so mad right now I'm about ready to burn the whole site to the ground, cut my losses, and just walk away. But that would damage my reputation.3 -
It’s throw back Thursday folks...
Today’s post sets us back to a time long before the internet. Before C ... from the days of FORTRAN.. COBOL .. and LISP... How was info not taught in classes and published in large books shared???? Well it’s was journals like these, sent out monthly and quarterly for some. They would publish their findings to these type “magazines” but extremely technical.
This is one of the oldest editions have. Trying to collect them.
I believe in Knuths TAOCP, he references the first article of this edition... I’ve seen that article referenced in one of my books but i forgot which book.. pretty sure TAOCP.. anyway..
Just a fun throw back. Btw... just because it’s from 59’ doesn’t mean the information is irrelevant.. the information is facts the equations are true.

Recruiters who cold e-mail me get hard and specific questions before I ever give them a resume and phone number. Been doing this too long to just randomly hand a resume and contact info to whoever. YOU came to ME. Make it worth my while.3

Dear providers of SDKs, when you claim to have a full documentation for your SDK, please at least provide the info about what unit (radians or degrees) the Angle properties are. Especially important when the iOS SDK is taking radians and the Android SDK is taking degrees, as I found out by experimenting. I don't even care so much about float on Android and double on iOS. Just make use of the fucking documentation and provide some actually useful info there. "Sets or gets the angle" is fucking NOT useful.3

We have a new hire, and he doesn't know much so he is receptive when given feedback on better ways to handle a situation...Or at least, he appears that way. Until the next time and he didn't listen at all.
Today I'm working on the front end to match his API calls. I ask him about a list of options for one of the fields, as he didn't provide that info initially. No worries, there was a lot, easy to miss. He responds with a list of ~100 options, which he copied and pasted from, I'm assuming, their documentation. I tell him that's too many options to hard code, as there is an easy chance to have an error or for there to be one added or deleted, and ask if there is an API endpoint to get the list.
He then asks if I need the key and value, or just key. I tell him if he needs the value(human readable) then he can send me just the value, otherwise both. He says he just needs the key, so I let him know that I need both then, as the value is human readable. He says okay.
He proceeds to make the endpoint, I test it. Then I look at the code he wrote. Not only did he not send me both, he just sent the keys, but he hard coded all 100 keys as opposed to making the call to the external API.3 -
For fuck sake!
Fuck locatefamily.com, just searched out on google my name and surname, both foreign and hard to even spell out for many, and it's the first time that I saw my data(where did I live, my current work phone number, name and surname) open wide as the second link of my search, fuck!
But there's a clue, at that address I lived for a not so long period, so I did search my emails in that period and other than my employers and government emails(in which I don't trust either), here's a list of companies that had my info(partial or full):
Only address(with name and surname):
Amazon.it with 14 other companies(for shipping)
eBay with 4 other companies(for shipping)
voxelfarm.com
trenord.it
DUMA (LIGHT) di Adel
decathlon.com
gruppoargenta.it
paypal.it
All info:
gearbest.com
glistockisti.com
oculus.com
Banggood.com
Overall there are 33(including government, employers and national main mail service) potential leaks of that data, with 7 in full exposure.
After this, I'm thinking how it's even avoidable to not leak personal data, because from any of those businesses I got goods or services that otherwise I couldn't without exposing such informations... fuck.6 -
Fucking hate recruiters/headhunters they are all talk, but when things get real... They fucking ghost you - who does that?
And how is that a way of working?
What happened to being a professional, at least cancel our fucking appointment.
Asshats🤬🤬🤯🤯
From now on I will call you, so just lose my info.1 -
Finally made good use of my RPi and setup pi-hole on it. After a painful 4hour long dist-upgrade and picking the right filters it is working like a charm. Why didn't I make this work earlier.
I've also wrote a little script which queries the api and displays different info on the AMOLED screen that was lying around unused for some time.
In case you are interested (from left to right and bottom), the traffic in the last 10 minutes with the max value on a graph, the most active clients query and blocked ratio as lines relative to the top one, and an overview of the total queries/ blocked queries and total clients.
At least I've finally spent a weekend useful not just playing games and watching anime.

I suspected that our storage appliances were prematurely pulling disks out of their pools because of heavy I/O from triggered maintenance we've been asked to automate. So I built an application that pulls entries from the event consoles in each site, from queries it makes to their APIs. It then correlates various kinds of data, reformats them for general consumption, and produces a CSV.
From this point, I am completely useless. I was able to make some graphs with gnumeric, libre calc, and (after scraping out all the identifying info) Google sheets, but the sad truth is that I'm just really bad at desktop office document apps. I wound up just sending the CSV to my boss so he can make it pretty.1 -
Let's talk about the cargo cult of N-factor authentication. It's not some magic security dust you can just sprinkle onto your app "for security purposes".
I once had a client who had a client who I did server maintenance for. Every month I was scheduled to go to the site, stick my fingerprint in their scanner, which would then display my recorded face prominently on their screens, have my name and purpose verified by the contact person, and only then would the guards let me in.
HAHA no of course not. On top of all of that, they ask for a company ID and will not let me in without one.
Because after all, I can easily forge my face, fingerprints, on-site client contact, appointment, and approval. But printing out and laminating a company ID is impossible.
---
With apologies to my "first best friend" in High School, I've forgotten which of the dozens of canonicalisations of which of your nicknames I've put in as my answer to your security question. I've also forgotten if I actually listed you as my first best friend, or my dog - which would actually be more accurate - and actually which dog, as there are times in my High School life that there were more tails than humans in the house.
I have not forgotten these out of spite, but simply because I have also forgotten which of the dozen services of this prominent bullshit computer company I actually signed up for way back in college, which itself has been more than a decade ago. That I actually apparently already signed up for the service before actually eludes me, because in fact, I have no love for their myriad products.
What I have NOT forgotten is my "end of the universe"-grade password, or email, or full legal name and the ability to demonstrate a clear line of continuity of my identity from wherever that was to now.
Because of previous security screwups in the past, this prominent bullshit company has forced its users to activate its second, third, and Nth factors. A possibly decade-old security question; a phone number long lost; whatever - before you can use your account.
Note: not "view sensitive data" about the account, like full name, billing address, and contact info. Not "change settings" of the account, such as changing account info, email, etc. Apparently all those are the lowest tier of security meant to be protected by mere "end of the universe"-grade passwords and a second factor such as email, which itself is likely to be sold by a company that also cargo cults N-factor auth. For REAL hard info, let's ask the guy who we just showed the address to "What street he lived in" and a couple others.
Explaining this to the company's support hotline is an exercise in...
"It's for your security."
"It's not. You're just locking me out of my account. I can show you a government ID corroborating all the other account info."
"But we can't, for security."
"It's not security. Get me your boss."
...
"It's for security."8 -
Committed production DB info in a config file to a public Github repo 5 hours ago. Just realised it now. Woops.5

I just wasted 2 hours trying to figure out why the properties of a destructured object returned undefined, even though everything was fine in JSON format. Tried to request data on the frontend from my server with a database attached. Tried accessing each object of my array separately, it worked. In a loop: dataArray[index].propertyX ... undefined??
Turns out I used the wrong property names to access the info inside each object.

Udemy is full of crap.
I got some course that had been "discounted" from $200 (I already mentioned it is an ugly trick) and it was over in like 20 minutes. The fuck?!
All the info they gave was either common sense or something you could find on the first paragraph of the Wikipedia article on the given topic (it was a soft skills course, not a technical one).
Just junk.
Maybe there are some gems out there, but I'm not sure I would risk it again.
Udemy feels like the Booking.com of courses in terms of deceitful UX, but it's not nearly as useful.
Maybe you guys have found something good there that you could say is a bargain? If so, please let me know.10 -
I was looking at some info about how much ads pay, CPM and all that, came across a guy who answered a question related to this on quora (FUCK quora piece of shit content farm :/ but that's a story for another day) and put links to his apps on Google Play in it.
I always had low self esteem and think that I know nothing and I'm shit but seriously fact that people who make apps like this exist and are proud of their shit makes me feel better.
His entire collection of apps are garbage like this, like a "driving school" with images from Google Search and other games screenshots and "top 10 search engines" with just logos of search engines. 😂

Dear client,
If you provide me a PDF file that you name a design, and don’t provide any info I can’t do much with it.
So I got a PDF design for the program I was building. I tried to rebuild the elements and copy your photos. As you said this was the only file the designer had. But don’t expect me to look for your fonts, sizes etc. And then complain that I need to be more specific in the design... and sending me by once do I need to ask her something?
Just f*** off -
Not only dev related but remember to constantly backup your important info of your Hard disk constantly... specially if those disk have not only the lastest code you are have been working on but photos of you and high school friends back in the day when the original Iphone was just released that you havent properly printed yet.
I think that is one of the nearest thing I can think of that I regret lately aside from simple being "my life" in itself

German friends...
Thoughts on 1&1? I have tks now, it's painful. Telekom seems shady af, but I have their mobile plan.
I have no idea how to get unbiased info here, so i'm asking people who actually use the internet to work from home and do more than just surf Facebook and cat videos10 -
Some hacker went through a lot of trouble to get around a minimum order amount on our site. And they’re still hitting us after Cloudflare issued a bunch of blocks. Well, there are some back doors I have to finish closing. I guess I’m lucky I’m just inheriting this site and I’m not the one who built it. But I’m still unlucky because I have to fix this mess. But damn hacker, why’d you go though all this trouble to get around existing validation. Go find another site to charge $1 amounts and test your stolen credit card info. Pretty please 🥺

I just found this in my "Religious views" info on FB, thought I would share it even tho it's just a paste from somewhere. Don't slaughter me if this is a reoccuring thing on here😂

The Computer is my taskmaster; I need not think.
He maketh me to write flawless reports
He leadeth me with Computer-Aided Instruction
He restoreth my jumbled files
He guideth me through the program with menus.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of
the endless GOTO,
I will fear no error messages;
For thy User's Manual is with me.
Thy disk drive and thy Pac-Man-they comfort me.
Thou displayest a spreadsheet program before me
in the presence of my supervisor.
Thou enableth the printout;
the floor runneth over (with paper).
Surely good jobs and good pay shall follow me
All the days of my life;
And I shall access your CPUs, forever.1 -
Bittrex is "amazing"...
I had lost my 2FA a long time ago (as my phone fried) and missed the account ferification deadline which caused my account to get disabled. Off we go to support!
0. Nothing to rant about at this point. I just created an account in their zendesk, logged in and logged a ticket to reset my 2FA and reactivate my account. They asked me for info, I provided it to them and got my 2FA disabled. Hooray!
1. I then asked to reenable my account. They sent me a link to restart the verification process. I open up that link and log in. I'm asked to upload some photos. I select requested photos from my galery and hit [UPLOAD]. An error pops up saying that smth wrong happened and I need to reload that site and reupload my photos. After page refresh they are telling me they are validating my uploaded info (w/o any way to resubmit my info, which, according to the error seen below, was not successfully submitted in the first place)...
2. So I reach out to the support guy again. Guess what he replies! He says he's sorry but he cannot help me any more and I need to create a NEW ACCOUNT in their support site with the same email <???!!!???>
3. I try to log in to the support portal and my access no longer works. MY ACCOUNT HAS BEEN DELETED! WTF!!!
4. I do as I'm told and create a new acc with the same email. Now I can log back in. So I'm raising a new ticket saying I still cannot finish my verification process due to the same error. It looks like it's going to be a fun ride with them so I can't wait to see what they'll reply.2 -
Yesterday I helped in a college final project. To be done using PHP and MySQL.
- they were taught to create a login page and when submitted just check the values against username and password from DB table and redirect to a dashboard page. No session created.
- in the dashboard, session is not checked. Shows links to other pages.
- each page is a separate php file
- the app allows users to issue books to customers. They were taught to delete the book from book table and save all the info in issue table, when a book is issued
- when a book is returned, book info is saved in a return table and also saved to book table again and deleted from issue table
I asked this student to change it to the right way, to use sessions and includes. He said that then the lecturer would know, he didn't do the project. It's a diploma level course.2 -
Me: *opens existing shared telegram channel*
Me: Hello developers of SDK xxx, we have another issue. We've gotten 2 reports from users of problem X occurring while using the SDK to contact your servers. It happens here, then this happens, using version Y. Code is the same open source app + library as before if you need to check it, same 2 files as before. Here are some screen shots of the error in the app too, just in case
*3 days later*
Dev: yes this does indeed seem to be a problem. Can you provide us more info to debug this effectively?
Me: ..... I sure can ..... if you let me know what it is you need ..... because you currently have access to absolutely everything already .... and i've been waiting 3 days, some specifics of what you need would be great!!!

Why I try to ALWAYS use semicolons in JS:
In short, weird shit happens sometimes
An example:
So I'm doing a small project for freeCodeCamp, working with the Twitch API. I decided to make an array on the fly to append a few elements to a documentFrag in order after setting all my props. Forgot a semicolon. Apparently, Babel transpiles this:
info.innerHTML = (``)
[span, caret, info].forEach(elm => frag.appendChild(elm));
to this if you omit the semicolon:
info.innerHTML = ' '[(span, caret, info)]
this is why you should avoid relying on ASI, you're going to have to remember them in other languages out there, so for your own sanity, might as well get used to them. Just thought I'd share--who knows, might help a JS newb out there somewhere.5 -
Fuck LinkedIn
Fuck their closed API
Microsoft always steals your PRIVATE info, but is scared of us using their PUBLIC info

Recruiters company emailed me to accept their privacy statement. I asked them what kind of information they got from me. Get an email back with: your information is deleted. I didn't expected that. It's clearly to hard to just send me the info...2

It's not bad UX! It's just deprecating and replacing it with a hidden feature!
So before there was an Uninstall button on the long-press menus but they removed that in some update...
So now all icons only have a Edit, Remove, and App Info
I finally got annoyed enough after looking for a Setting to just email them...

So on top of my Windows update frustrations, I just found out that Microsoft has been scamming me out of money for two years!
I bought an android tablet in 2016 which came with a free 1 year subscription to Office365. They demanded credit card info, so I made sure to pre-cancel it to avoid getting charged when the year was up.
Today I find a line on my bank statement that just says 'MICROSOFT', and I think to myself: 'What the hell is that?!?'
It takes some digging for the email adress I used and trying to navigate various MS sites until I realize that those bastards have auto-renewed the subscription twice now!
I missed it last year, but luckily since I caught the latest one within 30 days I can get a full refund.
Will contact their support tomorrow to get the rest of it back. Too tired right now to deal with their support jungle of circular links and virtual assistants...2 -
It's hard to teach git to a beginner! There's just so many bits of info that you have to know before it clicks into place. Not to mention git's "reuse" of certain commands with files and refs.7

I’m becoming really frustrated working with my current project. It’s like someone’s dog ate the requirements and all stakeholders are on a different page on what’s needed/wanted. I’m fishing for the info I need and try to decipher the vagueness I get. I know I could just call a meeting and try to get us all on the same page there - but I’ve been in a few meetings with this specific lot of people, and I know it’s just going to end up in much more confusion...3

Just finished my first project where I built a page with Angular, hosted it with Node/Express (locally), and pulled info from an API to display c: Feels good that I could even do it, even if it took hours of googling and tutorial to kick me in the right direction.

my 4TB Seagate HDD is failing in a very strange way:
I noticed an issue where my PC would just outright hang for a minute or two occasionally when swapping to the 4TB HDD. When I look at logs, when it hangs, the 4TB HDD times out but then on a retry IMMEDIATELY reads whatever sector just fine. In fact, it reads fine constantly for a few days until the same sector has an issue. So, the timeout is a remap, then? No, as the spare sector and bad sector counts in the SMART info don't change. It doesn't even change how many read errors or anything it's had. Strange, but let's test it with Seatools to be sure.
Tests go as follows:
- Short: pass
- Short: pass
- Long: seatools immediately crashes. Reopening seatools, it pulled a serial of all zeroes... okay....?
- Long: seatools immediately crashes. Seatools gets the right serial on reopen.
- Long: pass
- Long: fail
- Long: pass
- Long: seatools immediately crashes. All zero serial again.
i have no idea what's happening14 -
Teammate has been slacking since a week: not joining standups, not joining calls, stuff like that. Upon asking , he does give info which is needed from him, over slack. He is a pretty good engineer and has won a company award this year.
Today manager scolded him pretty harshly. No direct slangs, but very rude tone and sentences like ‘do you need special invitation to your house to join this meeting?’ , ‘If you don’t want to work, just fuck all this shit’ and things along this line for 10 mins. Basically manager lost his shit completely.
I didn’t like the way he was treated. What options does my teammate have ? We’re based out of Hyderabad, India.4 -
i was having a really hard time because there was no record of changes in code, the boys would communicate changes in private and I'd spend hours trying to figure out why i couldn't compile. when i asked my boss that they put that info somewhere, he said it was unnecessary and that it always worked that way before i came. ofc it worked, it was 2 guys coding. i couldn't work properly and everything took forever to sort, no one tried to help. i went to hr and they just told me i was right and that i had to be patient. i quit soon after1

TL;DR - Mining coins to solve captchas
I was puzzled when I clicked to download something and this little captcha thingy appeared. I clicked, as usual, to solve it, but was amazed to look just a progess bar going and going... then I saw a little legend that says "what's this?", click and this is the link
https://coinhive.com/info/...
Practically, you're mining Monero instead of watching ads and solving regular captchas...
What are your thoughts on this?4 -
Looks like Google forgot how to do good UX / UI design.
1.
Why is the text in the appbar black, but all other icons (including the lock inside the textview) white. It would make sense, if the lock would be black too (as the textview is abit lighter than the appbar).
2.
Maps was way easier to use, before they invented MD Refresh. When you tap on a point on the map you get that info view at the bottom of the screen. Before it was a draggable window, which could be maximized with a swipe. Now you have to tap it, the box goes away and a new window appears, which is just the same as before MD-Refresh.
3.
In "Google Tasks" the activity title is not centered for some reason.

TLDR;
How much do you earn for your skill set in your country vs your cost of living?
BONUS;
See how much I & others earn.
Recently I became aware of just how massive the gap in developers earnings are between countries. I'd love to calculate a fixed score for income vs cost of living.
I know this stuff is sensitive to some so if you prefer just post your score (avg income p/m after tax / cost of living).
I'm not shy so I'll go first:
MY RATES
Normal Rate (Long term): $23
Consulting / Short term: $30-$74
Pen Test: $1500 once off.
Pen Test Fixes: consulting rate.
Simple work/websites: min $400+
Family & Friends: Dev friends are usually free (when mutually beneficial). Family and others can fuck off, even if they can pay (I pass their info to dev friends with fair warning).
GENERAL INFO
Experience: 9 years
Country: South Africa
Developer rareness in country: Very Rare (+-90 job openings per job seeker).
Middle class wage in country: $1550 p/m (can afford a new car, decent apartment & some luxuries like beer/eating out).
Employment type: Permanent though I can and do freelance occasionally.
Client Locality: Mostly local.
Developer Type: Web Developer (True web dev - I do anything web related from custom HTTP servers to sockets, services, advanced browser api's, apps & more).
STACKS / SKILLSETS
I'M PROFICIENT IN:
python, JavaScript, ASP classic, bash, php, html, css, sql, msql, elastic search, REST, SOAP, DOM, IIS, apache
I DABBLE WITH:
ASP.net, C++, ruby, GO, nginx, tesseract
MY SPECIALTIES:
application architecture, automation, integrations, db's, real time data, advanced browser apps/extensions (webRTC, canvas etc).
SUMMARY
Avg income p/m after tax: $2250
Cost of living (car+rent+food): $1200
Score: 1.85
*Note: For integrity when calculating my cost of living I excluded debt repayments and only kept my necessities which are transport, food & shelter.
I really hope you guy's post your results, it would be great to get an idea of which is really the worst / best country to be a developer in.20 -
I was nearly about to punch someone today.
So, this guy is taking issues with my 3D model, yeah? But it's not the model he has issues with, it's that "why doesn't this include the stuff """I""" need?". Well, you giant man-baby could have actually visited the model like two months ago when I made it, but noooooooo let's leave it until a few days before his massive demonstration is due. Plus, the pieces I received from someone else also didn't have this info, so, like, where do you want me to get them from? Oh, from the "other" model that was literally delivered by a third party like two weeks ago? Nice. Hold onto your breath while I go rip that model apart piece by piece and put the info you need, in the format you need, in this model. 😒
... Jeeeeeez. And my computer broke down two days ago. 🤦
Could this get any worse? It could, but didn't. Luckily, someone else gave me a hand, so now I just need to go to work on a weekend just to install unreal engine again just so I can rip the second model apart for this one piece that he "really needs".
The worst part? I'm sure all of this tantrum is actually so he can justify why his work is ... well... "not working".
Let the finger pointing games begin!
(Actually not afraid of that at all. My boss knows better so yolo)
Idk, my brain is eeeeeeeeeek.1 -
As you problably know, Gmail sends mails to you when you create a new gmail account. These mails are about what you can do gmail etc.
But they send 3 mails! Why? Wouldnt it just be easier to send one and have a table of contents.
Sending one mail containing all info also takes less space in the list of mails you get.
Stupid google

Just finished listening to devRant's new podcast. In fact, I listened twice! So good, so much info and so much fun. Special guest Andy Hunt, surprise devRant community members and more. Each segment was a blast.
Thanks @trogus and @dfox for a great inaugural podcast. Can't wait for the next episode.
I hope everyone has an opportunity to enjoy it. https://devrant.io/podcasts/... -
Stakeholder: Can you investigate the problem with this user profile? We made updates to system A, but user is saying it’s the wrong info on the website.
Me: Looks fine to me. Looks like your updates just needed time to trickle down. Though, you will need to clean up this user’s data because it can cause X problems. There’s not much I can do since the site just displays info from system A.
SH: Can you delete the user’s website account and we can ask user to create a new one?
Me: …Ok, let’s try this again. It’s not necessary to delete the account and make the user create a new one. It’s not going to resolve the X problems that I mentioned. The website really needs clean data from system A. -
So I'm pretty accustomed to German "professional" websites. As a tourist, I was just looking up tourist stuff online and I stumbled across this gem
http://eisenbahn-spielzeug-museum.de/...
I was like, yeah, okay, maybe this is just a really unfortunate mistake, although I was clearly having in mind the "easy" navigation DB offers both on their app and their website
So continuing my tourist search, I found several sightseeing objectives on decent websites, took the info from there, planned my trip and when I reached the place I was told completely different info that didn't exist on their website, which mostly messed up my visit to those touristic sites
Maybe I should just go search for answers on some forums and print out people's advice9 -
So I've been working a project while now. last week we got a lot of changes from the client and the boss suggest we pull one of the senior devs from another project to help out. All good...until I checked the code...WTF!
For ex we have a method that checks and update weather info, if required, and returns a view(100 lines of code). so the client wants the weather to display differently in certain areas. exactly same data and everything just the view to look different. easy right..? Mr "senior" dev duplicates the method each time and just change the return statement to a different view...Fuck me right? Oh and 90% of CSS statements ends with !important. senior my fucking ass!2 -
I am going to an AI conference in Berlin (which is kinda far away from me) next month.
I am just learning AI & ML and integrating them into a personal project, but I am going there to meet people, learn and gather info.
Do you have any advice on how I could network with people that are masters in this area?11 -
Fucking java library publishing. It's a nightmare. You have to fucking own a domain to publish a shit onto jcenter/bintray/whatever. You have to own the domain, that your lib's package name is. And you MUST verify it, otherwise you won't publish anything. Or you can shit allover your lib with package name like com.github.dumbcoder.mycoollib.
You must to create a ticket for some shitheads that are going to verify your shit for two weeks. They gonna ask you for source.jar, docs.jar and whatever shit.jar they need.
What THE fuck? Who was the asshole that decided name packages in reverse domain name? No FUCKING more ecosystem has such a bullshit. In .net you just make a lib, create a free nuget account, fill some basic info and boom! you have .net package published. Same for npm and rust for example.
Because the fucking package name should be just for structure not for a some dick to own it. Namespace is name-fucking-space.

I've been trying to query some data from an 18 GB xml DB through BaseX for about 9 hours without success.
Just wondered how LinQ would work with the same xml info. Just got the info I needed in less than 15 minutes.
God bless LinQ.5 -
Started up KiTTY to connect to my virtual test server per usual when I couldn't establish a connection.
Nothing too unusual so I do the typical troubleshooting I make sure host, port and authentication is all correct and it is. So now I open the display for the virtual server and start looking at ip info, host info, checking ports and everything is completely fine.
Now I'm getting frustrated so I start running things like configtest in apache, using systemctl to check the services status, even restarting virtualbox in my windows 10 devpc. Still cannot connect!
I start feeling hopeless and just shut everything down, the whole operating system.
*takes breath*
Computer boots up and I start my usual thing of creating workspaces, opening editors, starting servers, etc.
I open KiTTY again and launch my virtual test server..

@dfox
Just a suggestion, when scrolling down on a user's profile, their user information should scroll up too along with the 'rants/+1's/comments' tabs and then those tabs stay fixed while the user information hides. Sort of like what Twitter does
There's not much room to view the actual content with all the user information in the way. Of course once we scroll back up, it will then reveal the user info again
:-)

Wasted a day as Shitlock Holmes with the build chain.
It would not reproduce the firmware hexfile that had been checked in. Reverse engineering that along with the mapfile to find out the cause, it was a const string that was guarded by an ifdef from another file that was auto-generated as prebuild step via a script that fetched some version control info.
Or, it would have been if the installation instructions had been correct and someone had described that no spaces in the absolute path name of the project are allowed. Otherwise, that shit just failed silently.
I then had to reverse engineer the intended workflow from the commit history in the version control to figure out that the last dev obviously hadn't quite understood the project specific workflow and how the version control interacts with these build scripts.
At least, I finally did get a matching hexfile.1 -

Just spent three and a half hours reconfiguring security cameras and troubleshooting over and over why the fuck internal and external weren’t reachable...
I failed to realize the DDNS was handing out the IP of 127.0.0.1 and 3.0.0.0 because nothing fucking stated that up until I found a small text link to the camera’s DDNS registration page... logged in with the customers info and low and behold the mother fucker was handing stupid shit out.
I hate that I overlook the simplest shit when I’m stressed and in a rush...
I need to learn to take deep breaths, but fuck that... I want to blow shit up.1 -
Hey there people, I have a few questions regarding neo4j. Your experience could also be very useful to me here @dfox.
1. Is neo4j good for storing user data, like password hashes, etc.. In addition to the regular relationships with other components of the ecosystem
2. Is neo4j good enough to accommodate a really large number of users..
3. Does DevRant use a dual database, like user info in Mongo and relationships like comments and ++ on neo4j or is it like everything on neo4j
For q.3, if you're not @dfox then just provide an idea of how you would handle the situation.7 -
Just started Online Banking at my bank. Checked how much money I have and what I can do on the website.
Afterwards I opened the dev tools and see that there is a js warning. So I open the console and the fucking first thing I see is: Loglevel set to INFO. WHAT THE FUCK?!?
Other things I found out:
API Endpoints are logged here. Two deprecation warnings for a function used. A warning about a deprecated service used.
The log level is now set to WARN. Several more deprecation warnings for the framework from before.
The fuck is this?12 -
I wanted to suggest a functionality (keyboard shortcut) to a website. I see that their feedback button was pretty visible, which is weird because most websites I've visited first take you through 3 layers of "have you googled your question first?" before they let you send a question or feedback. Alas, I fell into the trap. First they asked me for the typical intrusive demographic info, and then they asked me marketing questions, and then... that's it. They didn't let me submit any feedback. They just took my info and left. great3

In the country where I live the national railway company just replaced their perfectly functional (old looking) site with a new one. It looks very nice until you start using it. Reloading the page logs you out. Adding a saved passenger before was filling two fields and ticking and save now you go to profile then select it using 15 clicks then save and then you can't pick it when buying tickets you must add it all again (used to work before). The list of trains matching your criteria used to be a fairly compresses table so you could see a lot of trains without scrolling also showed info on them. Now it only shows departure arrival and time. Also each table cell has 4x font size padding and is float right with around 20% of left side being taken by a menu. Information about the trains' journey is still shown but not in full detail. After you put the ticket in the cart it only shows you basic information and there is no full info before checkout. Also now you can't pick which seat you want yours next to.
So then what did they fix compared to the old? Now you can buy tickets for trains that are late like if that's gonna make everything easier... They also fixed that now you don't need two accounts if you want to use the mobile app (which by the way broke after the update in every possible way).
So the question is: why the fuck do we need so much eye candy if the product becomes unusable in the end? -
That moment when you're trying your damnedest to concentrate at work but all the info is just going in one eye and out the other ear1
-
Some Devs need to be better about sharing info. Like, I don't want to play 20Qs just to learn how to configure a system I never used. You have job security, don't worry! Other people are allowed to know what ya know; you don't need to impress anyone!1

In previous company I was a backend developer. All the frontend ones were on vacation so it was up me to redo the whole frontend because of design chance. So i thought it couldn't be that bad. Little did i know was that designs were just jpg files with no info about margins or font sizes or anything really and everything was supposed to be pixel perfect. Fuck. That. Place.

imagine how much more intricate https would be without rsa, leaving us with just aes. i mean, youd have to have servers responding with isps, info is easily tracked.

What I have learned from neutral networks for my life.
It's already a year that I'm familiar with NNs. I did not write anything serious and did not learn it that deep. But, actually, the basic knowledge gave me an interesting view to my life. I just want to share one fact with you.
There is a learning speed in NNs, which specifies how fast does the network learn. If it is too high, any new information will be accepted very easily but will wipe the past of the network's knowledge and if it is too low, the network will hardly accept new info but remember everything. When people born, they learn everything very fast and by the age they become more hard-learners Here, I've learned that you should not live in the past, and not for the current day. You just have to keep the balance.1 -
Okay, where do I even fucking start.
Today, my account been hacked by some prick because i wouldn't send him fucking nudes. I quickly emailed discord and they keep sending me automated emails. I got so fucking pissed and then they emailed me "how did they get your info?" BITCH HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO FUCKING KNOW? THATS WHY ITS CALLED HACKING IDIOT!
I sent them 5 fucking emails, no response.
Discord Support- Actually, DISCORD IN GENERAL IS A FUCKING HORRIBLE APP!
Message from discord: I am isabe*******@Gmail.com. I'm fucking pissed how your damn support team won't fucking just give my goddamn Discord account back. Ok, all of us have seen the memes about how nasty Stack Overflow can be, this is why I usually try to find an existing SO post to read instead of making one. This time however, I found an error that I couldn't fix. A nasty C runtime error. I decided to ask a SO question for help, and awaited answers. I came back, and the question had been flagged to require more info, so I added more. I came back later, and someone told me I was doing it the hard way, and I should be using Visual Studio (I'm on Visual Studio Code), which ticks me off, because I don't want to use the hacky way around the problem, then this same person closed the question! They didn't even answer it, they just offered a simple workaround then closed without an answer. Man, SO sucks sometimes.14

Welp, it is panic attack time. Can't sleep because of work stress, which stresses me out even more. Can't get my work done because of bullshit meetings I can't skip. Coworkers are possibly being purposefully idiotic. Can't take vacation because we are in the middle of shit. I am not even coding, just writing documentation about the same crap everyday because of perviously mentioned idiotic developers. They have the same info as me, but refuse to work on even a draft version until I paint a screen WITHOUT the button they need to remove. I want to code so I can point at it and feel good, but no. And people keep talking to me. FUCK! AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!3

The joy when tools do not have machine parseable output.
I'm looking at you SBT. My favorite pile of poo.
Remove the logging level from each line, then trim the line, then stab around inside the line with regexes, fishing for a possible match which hopefully is right...
Then stripping scala information like the object type, cause yeah...
A line can be for example "[info] Vector(File(...),File(...))" where info is the log level, Vector the wrapping sequence type, File(...) the wrapping element type and the string inside File(...) what yours truly needs.
As this is lot of shitty shabby string stabby stabby, we need to add a fuckton of boiler plate validation cause who knows what we just murdered.
To make it even more fucked up, a multi project project can produce different output for the same key.
:-)
Yeah. So we need to fix that too.
By the way, one can set log output to unbuffered in SBT.
Then the output is in random order :-)
Isn't that fun? Come on, you wanna poke that pile of shit, too.
The SBT plugin way is by the way no alternative, as I need a full Java environment for execution.
Which brings me to the last point:
For fucks sake, writing CLI applications in Java is so much bloody boilerplate code.
There's ugly and then there's the "please kill me" kind of level.
50 lines just to write a basic validation of argc / argv with commons cli.
That's 6 lines in python. Not kidding. :(
I currently hate everything.

Client: Can you put all the add on products we sell into the MDSL (Master Daily Sales Log)
Why aren't you adding them to the new console system? It allows you to add them and tracks all actions on the sale.
Client: The Health Agents don't know how to do that, and I think the manger hasn't added them into the system....yup he didn't add them.
Me: So how are you tracking the addon products you are selling?
Client: I don't know. Can you just add them to the MDSL.
Me: I wrote the console system to replace the MDSL, why are you using the spaghetti code system I wrote 8 years ago?
Client: They like it better because of this one report they use.
Me: I rewrote that report for the new system and it even gives more info.
Client: But the owner doesn't trust it, because it shows conversions and sales instead of just sales.
Me: ...1 -
So I want to inform my internet provider of my new phone number, but I can't remember any of my login info for their web interface because I never used it. Luckily, they have a "forgot my username" function, where I submit my email address and get a confirmation that my username has been sent to me.
Yet, I just don't get said email. I try again, but no avail. So I just guess my username and use their "forgot password" form, which – hooray! – confirms it just sent my an email.
But I don't get any email. I retry, I retry after a day, but no automatic response. I remember a incident a few years back when I didn't get some automatically generated mails from a company and decide to contact their support if they could just reset my password manually.
Nearly a week passes.
Now I received the answer. I just don't have an account.
Lesson learned: Next time I'll just input garbage first to check if those forms are sane. -
once upon a time, i get interviewed by a software vendor. i am applied for system analyst because i think i have to level up from previous works as programmer, then i passed the test. after that i get interviewed for the second times and they told me i could start to work immediately. at first day i did programmer tasks instead of analyzing systems flow. i thought it just for exercises more my analytical skill through programming. i did it for 4 months until they add new employees, some of them are system analyst and they are fresh graduated. we chat and ask them about their experiences and they told me they are not programmers or system analyst before and no test!. i dig the info more deep, and i found they could get the job because they are graduated from bonafide university. until i resign i still a programmer and i hate to work at software vendor anymore because their corporate clients are all suck.

Just discovered Roccat Power-Grid!
It's so awesome and useful!
Mapped all Makros I use while programming to it.
I also have some CPU/RAM info and media buttons (play/pause/next/...).
You can even add website buttons. For example for Github or Stackoverflow!
Not sure if it's faster to use it but it's way cooler :)
Check it out!
Just search for it on Google/DuckDuckGo. -
I know maaannny rants like this exist, but it's just sad that so many devices run 1. windows and 2. an very old version of windows.

I'm crying internally. The project(s) i work on have configuration files with dev and prod-info, the prod is just commented out. But thanks to reasons everyone has a different dev environment so there are many dev-config-blocks. I just use mine and carry on, BUT SOMEONE ALWAYS COMMITS THOSE FILES. I JUST THOUGHT OF IT NOW, BUT I'LL PUT THOSE FILES ON A BLACKLIST. FROM NOW ON YOU CAN ONLY COMMIT THESE FILES DURING A FULL MOON.
There's also this codebase to create licenses for our products. The license data fpr every customer is there, commented out. If you wanted to create another license, comment something and comment out another thing and you're good to go. THAT'S NOT WHAT VERSIONING IS FOR.2 -
I'm not sure if this should be a joke or random, but the SBB train info screen in St. Gallen on platform 5 just decided to interpret the data given a bit differently than intended.
It is not broken and no other screen has that problem. What could it be, I wonder. But I don't care enouht to post it as a question.
I guess random would have been more appropriate.

Tech lead is getting on my friggin nerves. The tech lead keeps all the important info about the project for himself, does no sort of coding just merges stuff on Git and makes me handle any small fry problems which give me little to no insight into the project.
Then complains to the manager about the fact that nobody will help him and he has no time to do any work.
Meanwhile he creates own little club of people to talk to and stops talking to us devs.
Is this how its always been?7 -

How to bring your zsh start-up time from 7s to 0.2s on macOS:
1. Don't call "brew info", piped to grep, piped to awk
2. Don't dynamically detect the current version of brew-installed packages
3. Don't call java_home
4. Actually don't do anything dynamically. Just symlink shit as they get updated
There you go. Don't be like me. Use the "brew --prefix" command and put its output in your .zshrc, instead of running it every time -
One time, i would put a random stacktrace / error log containing fake server credentials/ card info etc on a page/ action letting those "hackers" waste their time digging into it.. only to found out that the server is just a repo of (i would like to say porn butthats still a win situation) useless things1

This project is just a complete clusterfuck... But nvm. We had to integrate a third party service pushing data into our system. Btw the service wasnt even working correctly. But that is just the tip of the iceberg. Its friday around lunch time. Message appears "what is the status of the integration?" Yeah havent started working on it. Last info was service is not stable. I doubt that this will be done this week. Next message from PO: "We will all push hard to get this done today and deploy to prod." Why? Because this dumbasses said to the customer this will be deployed eod. And by we you mean the devs once again doing overtime. Has this shit stopped? No. Like for the last two weeks its like we promised the customer xyz to be deployed tomorrow. Not a single dev was asked how long it takes to add this2

Avoided IoT(IoS - InternetOfShit) for a long time now, due to the security concerns with retail products.
Now I looked into 433 Transceiver + Arduino solutions.. to build something myself, just for the lolz.
Theory:
Smallest Arduino I found has 32 KByte of programmable memory, a tiny tiny crypto library could take around 4 KBytes...
Set a symetric crypto key for each homebrewn device / sensor / etc, send the info and commands (with time of day as salt for example) encrypted between Server <-> IoT gadget, ciphertext would have checksum appended, magic and ciphertext length prepended.
Result:
Be safe from possible drive-by attacks, still have a somewhat reliable communication?!
Ofc passionate hackers would be still able to crack it, no doubt.
Question: Am I thinking too simple? Am I describing just the standard here?14 -
I'm not good in doing presentations and I'm not sure if it is a common style or technique that to engage your audience, you need to ask a show of hands if they know about something..
I attended a "meeting/workshop" and the presenter just kept on asking who among us knows blah, have read blah, have seen blah, who doesn't know blah blah blah.
Why ask us to raise our hands? Are u conducting a survey? For those who raised their hands did u feel a sense of belongingness? For that one guy who raised his hand he was bullied.
I don't understand why ask ppl to raise their hands? For what?
If u want to share info then just deliver the message. Full stop. Don't make it embarrassing for the rest of us.3 -
Windows just got a BSOD and had the classic "please wait while we collect error info, we will restart for you shortly".
When it reached 100% it actually restarted itself and I litturally said "woah" out loud, thats litturally a first for me. It normally just hangs on 100% for about 15 mins before I just power it off manually.
It sucks that I lost my work, but atleast I got to witness such a rare event.4 -
Automate this!
I'm an aspiring coder working some chappy administrator job just to pay the bills for now. My boss found out that I may actually be more computer literate than I let on.
Boss: "I want you to make X happen automatically if I click here on this spreadsheet"
Me "X!? That means processing data from 4 different spreadsheets that aren't consistently named and scraping comparison info from the fronted of the Web cms we're using"
Boss: "if you say so.. Can you do it?"
Me: "maybe.. Can I install python?"
Boss: "No..."
Me: "what about node.js or ruby?"
Boss: "no.. I don't know what you're talking about but you're not installing anything, just get it done"
Me: "Errm Ok.."
So here I am now, way over my head loving the fact that I'm unofficially a Dev and coding my first something in Powershell and vb that will be used in business :)
Sucks that I still have to keep my regular work on target whilst doing this though!2 -
Ok story number 2, this one takes place back when I was at Uni.
We had a group project where we had to make a basic website. Nothing fancy, just basic HTML/CSS/JS.
We were a group of 3, one of the guys did a fairly good job with the CSS, he made a really good looking banner/footer and a kind of ‘featured’ page which looked awesome.
But the other guy... his contribution was the ‘contact us’ page, which consisted of a totally static table with dummy info and an embedded Google map showing the location of our fake car dealership.
Meanwhile I wrote all the Javascript, complete with a fake in-memory database containing our car data for displaying on the home page. Even had basic filtering. I made sure to mention in the peer review that I felt like he could have done more. -
Fuck you Redis
Goes in a docker container, calls bgrewriteaof, get success, checks info - no pending writes, last write success.
Tries to scp to remote, fails - Unexpected AOF
Decides to shut down the local redis to be able to port, in case it's blocking it
Calls redis-cli shudown (expect to just shut redis down rigth)
It fucking deleted all my data, now I see the docs
"Flush the Append Only File if AOF is enabled."
Why the fuck? Fuck you redis, fuck you1 -

Today's progress. Updated the cms to update category titles :D So when you click the edit link, it displays the current category title in the input field. Then you just change the value and submit it to update the database info for that specific category. Fun stuff!

Short Info: I'm "desktop programmer" (if that word exists) in either C # or Java 😎
question: I would like to create my own website, just simple to start with and maybe expand it later with eg. Arduino temperature meter
I have a look at 2 programming languages that I can build it in, Js or PHP. I just do not know which one to choose, I'm probably the most to Js, but what are the pros and cons of these 2 and / or is there a completely different programming language I have to take a look at?16 -
I just found out why so many accounts of mine had a lot of login attempts recently. Turns out Epic Games had a leak in 2016 with no info to its users about it. So my email and default shitty password i dont use anymore but for useless accounts got leaked...4

New feature request that could be unecessary by client just sticking to one of 4 different very similar input formats instead of many off the cuff formats, that conflict and i cant guess let alone a computer. But i present an outline idea of the solution with his specs
I didnt complain just told him what needs to change and what our constraints will be how the info is interpretted etc
Client says "dont spend time on code for that feature.. stick to other original work for now" ! omg hes getting it! Sweet. I only wasted an hour this time, and if he does want the feature, we have an agreed spec for it. We can get back to handling the customer level shit and maybe he can make some more money finally.
Scope creep plus 0, me plus one. Scope creep still in thr lead by a lot. Oh well. Still, this guy is getting more tolerable -

devCraft { post-content:
so, im in school, and not really able to play on, or even help maintain the devCraft server, guys; on top of that, it looks like multimc itself is having connection issues with the mojang auth servers, which the devs said might just be our firewalls or something. whatever it is, the multimc instance is likely gonna give you all trouble, and i would just get the modpack or the custom launcher.

The only thing worse than client QA is client vendor QA.
I do QA for a company that does custom implementations of a major e-commerce platform. On one of my current projects, the customer has elected to outsource their UAT, and isn't willing to wait for the site (or even individual features) to be complete before starting testing, so I've been triaging a lot of silly tickets. But today took the cake.
This system allows users to save their credit card info. The vendor QA guy filed a ticket "reporting" that if he saved a cc with a given number, then created a new cc record with the same number but a different expiration date, the original record was overwritten, rather than a new record being created.
I just stared at the thing for like five minutes, gathering the mental strength to reply with something other than "you're an idiot."3 -
How am I even supposed to learn securit? I have been playing CTFs for a little over a year now, learned some interesting stuff and had some fun. But I still didn't ever get the feeling that I learned something really valuable.
I just saw this video and I trust LiveOverflow on this but I seriously have no idea how to continue from now on. https://youtube.com/watch/...
I even consider quitting this and instead spend my time improving my programming skills but I would really like to get into the field. Why is this so hard when you can find good info on everything online nowadays?
Thanks for reading my post, maybe I just need to go outside for some time to get improve my mood :)5 -
We're in the last stretch before going Live next week.
A training session was held with some of the future users.
"Why does that dossierID field is mandatory with a lot of validation rules? We don't use that info, we just remember the names."
"Why do we have this feature to manage x info that is linked with one of our services? We only needed a text field for custom values"1 -
Just purchased an import car from japan, what do you guys think, should i do a custom infotainment system on a raspberry pi maybe write some code so it'll show all my car info? Or do you think it'll be too much of a pain in the ass5

There's nothing quite like an app force closing for no apparent reason, and no error log info.
Just spent an hour figuring out that one of the device I test on doesn't like linking GLSL shader programs if it contains a loop even know every other devices I've tested on are totally fine with it. 😑 -
Api for providing a central platform of connected accounts. So you can do stuff like get your pubg info in discord or get your Twitter in steam. Has more uses I guess but that's just a starting point :)

Any of you are annoyed by your non-technical manager work practices?
Every release I feel like our manager's goal is to have our planning and results look good in front of higher management, no matter if it is true or not.
Oh this big task could not be done because we had to plan 4 months in advance with no info and poorly done requirements? Well let's just push it to the next release we can't have unfinished tasks logged in.
Oh we don't have time to work on tech debt and refactoring, there are too many features and bugfixes to do. Well maybe that is why there are so many bugs, eh?
Oh your automated test results need to all look perfect, does not matter if your test are even good or actually doing anything in the first place, as long as it passes.
Also, I was promised agile and got a waterfall-like bullshit process instead that barely works.
Anyways just morning rambling.1 -

In college, during Novell's heyday, I was working on my Certified Network Administrator certification (totally worthless, in retrospect). As I was becoming an expert in all things Novell, I found a security flaw. Using Visual Basic it was possible to code up an exact replica of the Novell login screen that launched at boot time from a batch file stored on a floppy. You could log peoples' usernames and passwords all day as long as they didn't realize your floppy was in the drive, which worked in certain computer lab setups on campus. I wasn't in it for stealing info or being a criminal. I just did it for the lulz. But if I had gained access to a few of the right computers in admin offices on campus, I could've gotten access to anyone's student profiles and grades.

I started reading all the info I could find on the net about it but still want to ask you guys for any advise 😶1 -
My workflow would greatly improve if my stakeholders would just communicate when they make changes to the systems that the website interacts with. It would also help if they didn’t lie when they make a f*** up. Lack of info and lies don’t help me solve the issues they created. But I realize asking for this is like believing that Santa is going to send me a puppy for Christmas.

Alright, part 2/4 of my new project is done!

So today I was asked to make a 2 programs, one to send socket data to the Android either through wireless or through the USB and the program on the Android to receive that data and send an SMS according to the data .....
Through Wireless was working like a charm, through USB required to use the adb to do some forwarding ... done that and the Android keep's receiving the data without any info inside .... after a few hours of searching and 0 info (even asked on stackoverflow 0 anwsers) so I just decided to insert a System.Threading.Thread.Sleep(250); after the Connection is done when its chosen the Cable on the GUI ... and now its working -.-2 -
I was just playing with Eventbridge for research for a potential project, and I wanted to test setting up a Cloudwatch Logs target. I go to set up my target, click save, and am presented with "Resource limit exceeded".
After some digging in my browser's network inspector, and some googling, I discover that the account has reached its quota of Cloudwatch Logs resource policies, which can't even be viewed in the console, only the API and CLI.
Is network debugging and StackOverflow really the intended method of troubleshooting this issue? What the hell was I supposed to do with "Resource limit exceeded" and no further info? -
So my (windows 10) laptop decided to suddenly forget about its Bluetooth capability. And about its Bluetooth hardware.
Now, I did not restart my system, I just left it idle for a while. Heck, I played rainbow six before leaving it idle (with a Bluetooth mouse, of course)
Tried checking for the settings (didn't find any settings related to Bluetooth service), didn't find it in device manager, useful the troubleshooter (bastard says the problem is I have no Bluetooth hardware installed), tried restarting the system, checked in bios menu (couldn't see hardware info printed in bios system info), tried updating/reinstalling the driver.
The hell am I supposed to do?9 -

1. Role Based Authentication with fake jwt and mocked backend.
2. Lazy loading and eager loading modules.
3. Data Resolvers.
4. A pretty good project structure.

I have also provided links to the online resources where I learned or practiced these things in Angular ( Check Readme file for more info) :)

Tried to find an experienced .net dev for a small project but no-one ever responded (while the view counter was in the thousands).
I am either too bad at writing ads or 50 euros/hour is way too low for someone to even ask for some more info about the project.
Fuck me and fuck them too, the money will just go to Asia. At least those motherfuckers have the experience required and are not afraid to talk. Plus, they are cheaper.7 -
So I currently work at my first job and have for 2 years now. First project I had was to redesign a user info set up page. Didn't know any of the languages so kinda had to just wing it. Anyway finally committed my code and tested on dev server. Then code pushed to production and tested there. Then I saw a message from one of the top devs saying nobody could login. I replied saying that I was able to. Well, I actually ended up making it to where no one could log in except me. I learned real quick to never fuck up like that again. Surprised I wasn't fired on the spot.1

From the career point of view, I've seen many programmers, more or less, in the long run, specialize in the industry|ies they've been working, so the business practices, ins and outs and logics became part of their strong point in that|those industry|ies.
But I found myself on the opposite side, I could care less about the business's practices, etc. because in the end I'm mostly passionate about reaching some technical satisfying accomplishment or a novel approach to solve some kind of problem or just learn new approaches.
So when I'm handed info mostly focused on business practices|logics I just boringly read through it.
How about you?
Obviously business problems and technical feasibility to solve them overlap. But wouldn't be better to have people capable to express their issues more from technical points of view than talking nonsense to someone who's clueless about the business <.<?1 -
Noob question
Is it better to implement a cryptpgraphic algo in a function or in a class? Also how?
More info:
I have a cryptography class and I really enjoy implementing the different techniques that we study in class. At first I was just implementing the techniques in a simple function with 3 parameters; key, message and a bool for encryption or decryption. But as they are getting more complex, it is becoming harder to continue implementing them in a single function block. So I thought of using a class but ran into the problem of how do I even do that? Do I make different methods for key generation, encrypting and decrypting?
P.S. It's really just for learning how the crypto technique works and not for anything serious.12 -
Question...
Bout a month back went for an interview, went well, assessment and all that, but the company was busy moving so feedback was slow.
Last week got contacted by a client of a former company who is now also looking for a dev.
Company 1 just came back wanting to discuss offer, and company 2 will probably get back to me tomorrow.
Question is, there like any reason to disclose the info to them. The second guy I know, he was client for about a year.1 -

mild rant. Android phone updated last night. Phone rings this morning. Swiping right to answer does not work. After putting glasses on, I can read the miniscule "swipe up..." text. OK, they put some words on there, not their fault I tried to answer the phone without glasses. But, why the world change how the phone gets answered? What it really a problem? I've already discovered a new one: reaching into my pocket to get out ringing phone caused an accidental swipe up so the call was answered before I got to look at the caller id info. Just another thing changed that wasn't broken to begin with. And no, I could not find a setting to change it back.4

Hey guys. I need your advice about writing a documentation. I want to make a flowchart with all processes of this client’s mobile app so I could see the UX logic and also all UI screens in the app. I also want to somehow add backend info in order to see which endpoints are being called in these screens and what type of responses are we parsing there.
Currently flowchart is done in draw.io, some of sketches are in zeplin, and there is 0 backend documentation just some implementation in our mobile app.
I would like to combine all of this into some useful document/overview so I could pass this doc to a junior dev and he could jump working into project without a problem.
Do you know any tools to do this?1 -
Hello, I have a question for anyone familiar with multithreading!
I just started working with threading for the first time, I mostly write powershell scripts 😅, I found that certain conditions make using multithreading an absolute time saver. And of course in some tasks it's not such a big deal.
I am currently working on a project that runs multiple threads and each thread might invoke one of my functions that also threads the work.
I'm a total newbhat when it comes to this stuff, but if my main process is 4 threads, and I can spin up, up-to 4 more threads to run one of my functions, does the math equate to a possible total number of threads of 16 or is it possible to have the threading go ape-shit bananas and utterly thrash the cpu with rampant threads getting created?
I've looked online and based on some of the info that I've managed to come across on my own, the answers elude towards being safe because I'm creating pools for running the threads first and the pool is responsible for maintaining min/max threads, but I can't seem to find good info on running a pool+threads inside another thread.
Just to let you in on what the function does that requires threading in the first place, I need to basically query CloudTrail based on ARN's to find events, but I can only pass a single ARN to the find-ctevent cmdlet. So I'm essentially making 1500-ish really really small calls to AWS just to get back event data for the ARN.
Serially, this takes like almost 20 mins, on my laptop using stupid settings like 24 threads, it completes in about 95seconds. On the actual server that will be running this code, I'm going to limit it to 4 threads and try to figure out a way to cache the info locally and update the info on a cron or schedule so only the initial scrape takes forever and then the updates can be done nightly or something.
thank you in advance for your help, I'm not too sure if the question is dumb but please let me know either way!6 -
What would you do? Finished a mobile app project for a contract. Normally, I'd be off looking for another app project to work on, but the company I'm at asked me to write documents for an unrelated project. I hate writing docs, but I am billing $80/hr
Not near enough info to do much of any documentation , so waiting on answers. In the meanwhile, my email and phone are blowing up from recruiters looking for mobile app devs.
I can either work with recruiters to find a job I love or spend time muddling through creating documentation with little or no info.
What would you do? Collect a paycheck for shit you hate doing? Or just spend the time looking for something you do like to do? -
Long Story short. I'm developing a Web Platform for my company to share documents with our partners.
So this was way back in 2016. The site is finished for almost two years now. But the department's who wanted this in the first place didn't gave me permission to deploy until like two months ago. Now the site is running online. Yay.
Well guess what. The department responsible for the creation of sad documents, now wants a full blown configuration web site. Best part. Can it be like Free Commander? Yeah right I'm gonna build this on a website. The fuck is wrong. It was just a simple table with some helpful info to help them track their files.2 -
I was just thinking that bookmarking a rant could be a good feature for this community. 😁
I came across some rants with info I wanted to check later, but no way to save the rant anywhere. I just saved the links to a text file for now.2 -
I want to share one of my recent interview experience..
so first round was telephonic and technical guy seems cool as he did not emphasis on syntax, function name etc.. but just took the info of my tech on which I am working on and discuss some approaches to find a solution towards the problem.. ( I guess thats pretty well for experienced dev)
Second round was assignment and its a hell of assignment :( atleast for me.. Like I work in CI 3 and I did assignment on CI 4. almost everything is changes in CI 4 ( I mean its structure writing the way of routes, models and controllers).. But I took the challenge personally and finished 95% of assignment ..
Overall this interview experience was pleasant one.. :) -
How come so many dev teams are working with blindfolds on?
We have two projects that communicate using endpoints. One of them throws a parsing error with some data. Cool, just give the calling project some debug references and attach a debugger right?
Apparently not. I haven't figured out why we can't do that, it seems like the project only works using nuget references so we never get any debug info for the other project.
Asked around how we usually solve issues like this. The answer: "idk the codegen always works, so we never solve issues like this".
What.
It "always works". Except now it doesn't. And you've never tried debugging it? Instead just working with blindfolds on trying random shit until it does?
This is far from the first time I've heard this on a team. That and "we don't need error codes, if something goes wrong we have to fix it either way". I'm losing faith in the dev world... -
Recently I made a dumb mistake :(
I have applied for credit card online and they have call me and asked me for info and send some messages which I need to forward someone that contain codes.
After that they ask for some docs, salary slips and bank statement etc. I got stuck for some tax forms.
So one day they just called that its ok if you can't submit your tax docs , we can make verification through debit card, I thought the call was genuine and I am in cc process, I shared my pin. and wohaaaa. my balance was deducted :( Thats was indeed a scam call.7 -
I swear there is just no documentation on GTK3 themes. I'm trying to change window decorations in an existing GTK theme and there's just no info out there. On top of that my posts for help have gotten a grand total of 0 replies.
If you happen to know where I can find some info about it I would really appreciate it. -
You just have to love users, especially when you work in an environment where politics dictate database constraints and application rules.
"Can you pull tax info for x, y, and z."
Nope, I could if the stuff was entered into the database properly but until standardized I can't do much. Here are the numbers I have, use them or don't but I'm not fabricating data for you for a tax form. -
Some 10 years ago when I was studying my associated degree at college, the academic program director came to our classroom and gave us a sheet to put down our emails to update our info.
So, as told everyone passed down the sheet and when he started reading it, he asked right away in public to my friend(his name is angel and academic program director will be APD):
APD: angel, is your email really as written? angel_y_danna_juntos_x_100_pre@hotmail.com (that roughly translates to angel_and_dana_forever_together@hotmail.com)
*everyone laughed*
Angel: *blushes* yes...
My friend by that time just started cyber-dating a girl called danna, so he was very corny about it... even created a new email account with that looong address
PS: just remembered this history because some new user called @thisnameAndthisname1 -
Just had the worst time ever. Tried to register to a web portal of my ISP. Couldn't even get to the dashboard. It randomly redirects back to login page. Doesn't save info. Asks for info already given in the profile when I try to add my connection and then says info doesn't match with what's in the profile.. WTF!!! I just copy pasted it from the profiles info page. :/ just gave up after trying for the 50th time. I just can't understand how someone could design something with this level of shitty user experiance.
I would just like to say fuck you to the assholes who designed that worthless portal. :/ -

Switched to non-google for every device I own, however:
When I accidently go to Google and try to search, it tells me that I am blocked for suspicious activity and need to solve a captcha - If I do, the current search works.. Shortly after tho, it gives me the same thing again.
Any idea how to get more detailed info about the issue, e.g. Ensure none of my systems is quietly participating in a botnet?
PS: why should I care? Just don't use Google! That's right, yes, it still bugs me tho7 -

Quick question..
INFO:
Im attending Computer Science Study's im at the end of 1. Semester. We'r going to cover app development in 4th semester, but i cant wait that long, i want to use my spare time starting to build apps to get ahead of studys.
Im currently pretty decent in Java, so i want the app based on java language, and we've used scenebuilder for our desktop GUI's so far with FXML..
QUESTION : What do you use to develop java based ios/android apps - software, languages, etc.
Dont want to start a "this is better than that " war, just looking for a good entrypoint to java app development.

What do you think about the new Youtube layout?
New Youtube, new bugs.
I reported a bug when it was opt-in and guess what, it's still here: in subscription feed's listed view, scrolling is laggy after loading more items with stepless scrolling (e.g. Chrome w/ touchpad). So many unnecessary animations.
It's just really frustrating when you try to info large company about a bug and they do nothing. The previous ones are also still there...
I guess it's time to reboot my Youtube Data API client project, which I started just for this reason.3 -
So I’ve been wanting to build my own web apps for a while now, but I can’t seem to find any info on the legal stuff that goes into that. I know at minimum I’ll need a privacy policy.
Like do I need a lawyer to get everything set up? I’m not talking about creating a startup. Just web apps that people can use, e.g. a casual budget app or content aggregator. Just looking for a side hustle for a little extra cash and some experience.
What about compliance with the tech I use? If I setup a freemium app, am I out of compliance with open source tech I’m using? Anyway sorry for the long post 😅3 -

HIRE A CRYPTO RECOVERY EXPERT; CYBER CONSTABLE INTELLIGENCE YOUR ULTIMATE SOLUTION FOR LOST CRYPTOCURRENCY
I am truly at a loss for words as I try to express my deep gratitude to Cyber Constable Intelligence for the incredible support they provided me during one of the darkest times of my life. I never imagined I would find myself in a situation like this, but I am so thankful I reached out to them when I did. A while ago, I became desperate to access my spouse’s phone, as I had suspicions about his conversations with another woman. In my search for help, I made the terrible mistake of trusting a hacker who claimed they could assist me in gaining access. Little did I know, this hacker had ulterior motives and would take full advantage of my vulnerability. Instead of helping, the hacker scammed me, taking a significant amount of my Bitcoin, and even worse, he blackmailed me. He threatened to expose my personal information and demanded more money from my spouse. I felt completely trapped, unable to think clearly or find a way out. It seemed like I had lost everything my money, my peace of mind, and even my sense of security. That's when I found Cyber Constable Intelligence. After reading about their success stories, I decided to reach out, even though I was unsure what to expect. From the moment I contacted them, I felt a weight lift off my shoulders. They listened to my situation with empathy and immediately got to work, providing not just technical expertise, but the reassurance I desperately needed. Thanks to their diligent efforts, they were able to track down the hacker who had caused me so much distress. Not only did they help me recover all of my lost funds, but they also made sure the hacker was held accountable for his actions. In addition, they helped me gain access to my spouse’s phone, revealing the truth behind his communications with the other woman. I am incredibly grateful to Cyber Constable Intelligence for their dedication, and compassion. They went above and beyond to help me recover both my finances and my peace of mind. If you find yourself in a similar situation, I highly recommend reaching out to them. They truly saved me, and I will always be thankful for their intervention.

When there are multiple third party services getting used in your spring boot application. How do you manage their API creds.
Like I use Aws Secret Manager for the keys and different account level info. But after fetching in the application in runtime should we create classes to hold such info or just class variables are enough?
I'm more curious about the coding standard practices of different developers in the globe.10 -
Does anyone from here working by GMX? I am specially looking for a sysadmin.
The story is the following. We can't send emails to GMX addresses in general. I've contacted my provider, and they said, that they've contacted GMX several times but no solution has been made so far. This was almost a month ago and the problem still persists.
If anyone from here willing to help me clear this mess, or just give some explanation, I would be grateful. We are loosing reputation as a company having to answer from a different email address.
If it is a sensitive info please give me a channel where we can speak about the details.
Please note I am not a sysadmin by the hosting company, i am simply a customer of theirs.14 -
One of my big gripes about PyQt5 in particular is lack of info, especially on advanced topics. This includes books. I found this on Amazon today:
Qt5 Python GUI Programming Cookbook: Building responsive and powerful cross-platform applications with PyQt https://amazon.com/dp/B079S4Q9T2/...
It was just published in July. I’m thinking I might buy the Kindle book.
On reviewer complained about lack of info on how to handle child dialogs (after fighting with child dialogs that had their own children and dialogs with threading and all that, I feel you, brother). But the 2 reviews it’s gotten look fairly positive.
I wonder how advanced the book gets. Going to read the sample later.4 -
BEST BITCOIN RECOVERY COMPANY |CRYPTOCURRENCY RECOVEY HIRE CYBER CONSTABLE INTELLIGENCE
One evening on a Friday after work, I found myself in a terrifying situation. I had just finished a long week and was looking forward to unwinding over the weekend when I decided to check on my cryptocurrency holdings. To my horror, I discovered that my XRP had become trapped on a cryptocurrency exchange called Crypto change, which I later realized was operated by scammers. Crypto change had always seemed like a reliable platform, but now, under strict geopolitical restrictions, it had suddenly become impossible to access my funds. Every attempt to withdraw my XRP was blocked, and I was left helpless, with no way to recover my assets. The value of my XRP had grown to over $100,000, and the thought that it might be permanently out of my reach was overwhelming. Panic set in as I realized I had fallen victim to a fraudulent exchange, and all of my usual recovery methods seemed useless. Desperate for a solution, I reached out to Cyber Constable Intelligence, a firm known for its expertise in Cryptocurrency Recovery. I didn’t know what to expect, but I was willing to try anything at that point. From the moment I contacted them, I felt a sense of relief. The team at Cyber Constable Intelligence sprang into action immediately, understanding the severity of my situation. They knew that Crypto change wasn’t just an exchange with withdrawal issues, it was a scam designed to trap unsuspecting investors like me. However, they assured me they had the skills and experience to navigate this challenging scenario. The experts at Cyber Constable Intelligence quickly identified vulnerabilities in Crypto change's KYC (Know Your Customer) processes, weaknesses that the scammers had overlooked. They put together a detailed plan to exploit these gaps, enabling them to move my XRP to a secure wallet, bypassing the scam exchange’s restrictions. It wasn’t an easy task. The process took several weeks of careful, discreet work. The team had to balance security measures while avoiding detection from the exchange’s administrators. Throughout the recovery, I was kept informed of their progress, and their dedication was evident. In the end, their efforts paid off. My XRP, valued at $100,000, was safely moved from Crypto change to a secure wallet under my control. Thanks to the relentless effort and expertise of Cyber Constable Intelligence, I regained access to my trapped funds. The professionalism and skill they displayed in handling my case were extraordinary. Huh, just created a job in Jenkins to run msbuild over some solutions. The job accepted a parameter called "Configuration" which was just some simple JSON.
Everytime I ran the job, msbuild failed.
Then I realised that the Debug/Release info for a .NET Solution gets put into an environment variable called "Configuration" that msbuild creates and relies on! >.< -
Has anyone actually managed to create an article through the apple news api? I'm finding it near impossible to work with - where the hell is the proper documentation?! Or even a single proper tutorial?! I can get my channel info in python 3.4 but creating an article all I ever get is just "INVALID" - what exactly is invalid with what I'm sending?!

Just wasted one hour on an employer info session. Can't understand why people ask stupid questions like "how is the work life balance?". Like those chosen representatives would tell the truth. Can't understand why those new grads working at the company would want to perpetuate the stupid interview process. "We want to hear how much you resent us while doing stupid white broad interview questions." Do they stream leetcode solving process to TikTok all day for work?

RECOVER BITCOIN, USDT, AND ETH FROM SCAMMERS HIRE ADWARE RECOVERY SPECIALIST
Six months ago, I made a life-changing decision: I left a stable job to pursue full-time cryptocurrency trading. After a full year of mentorship from my cousin—who had built substantial wealth through Bitcoin and altcoins—I felt ready to take the leap. I started with a modest investment of $20,000, trading cautiously between established cryptocurrencies and promising DeFi projects. To my surprise, my portfolio tripled in value within a few months, climbing to over $60,000. That early success fueled my ambition and confidence. WhatsApp info: +12 (72332)—8343
Emboldened, I decided to go all in. I liquidated my savings, borrowed against some assets, and raised my total investment to $390,000. At first, the decision seemed to pay off. My trades were profitable, and the returns felt consistent. I began to feel unstoppable. But then I made a critical mistake. Drawn in by the promise of zero-fee trading and instant withdrawals, I transferred my entire portfolio to a new, unverified exchange. Website info: h t t p s:// adware recovery specialist. com
At first, everything seemed perfect—executions were smooth, the interface was sleek, and my balance continued to grow. But when I attempted to withdraw funds, things took a turn. The support team began giving vague excuses about ‘wallet maintenance’ and ‘verification delays.’ Weeks passed, and then suddenly, my account was frozen for so-called ‘suspicious activity.’ Soon after, the platform went dark—the domain was inactive, support channels disappeared, and just like that, my life savings were gone.
The shock was paralyzing. I spent days in panic, scouring the internet for answers and barely sleeping. That’s when I discovered ADWARE RECOVERY SPECIALIST, a cybersecurity firm known for helping victims of crypto fraud. A fellow trader who had recovered lost assets recommended them. I was skeptical—but desperate. Email info: Adware recovery specialist@ auctioneer. net
ADWARE RECOVERY SPECIALIST quickly sprang into action. Their team traced blockchain transactions, identified the fraudulent network, and worked tirelessly to recover my funds. Thanks to their expertise, I was able to regain access to my wallet and recover a significant portion of what I had lost. While I didn’t get everything back, their intervention saved me from total financial ruin.
In the middle of that nightmare, I felt an overwhelming sense of gratitude—not just for the team’s skill and dedication, but for what I believe was divine intervention. I truly believe God led me to ADWARE RECOVERY SPECIALIST. It reminded me that even in our darkest hours, faith can light the path forward. Sometimes, the help we need comes through the hands of others—and I’m incredibly thankful that I found the right people at the right time.2 -

I was scrolling through LinkedIn one afternoon when I came across a post from a crypto security expert, praising Salvage Asset Recovery for their exceptional services. It was an interesting read, but at the time, I didn’t think much of it. I had never imagined I'd be in a situation where I'd need to rely on them. Fast forward a few months, and I found myself in a complete panic. I had just attempted a wallet migration, thinking it was a simple task—after all, how complicated could it be, right? But of course, the universe had other plans. The migration failed miserably, and I lost access to my $350,000 wallet. It was like being caught in a bad dream where I kept slapping the "recover password" button to no avail. My heart raced, and my mind was spiraling as I realized what I had done. After a few frantic hours of self-inflicted tech punishment, I remembered that LinkedIn post. My eyes widened, could it really be that simple? I quickly searched for the post again, found the contact info, and reached out to Salvage Asset Recovery in a state of desperate hope.
What followed was nothing short of a miracle. Their team took over the situation with the precision of a well-oiled machine. I could practically hear the relief in my voice as they reassured me every step of the way. It wasn’t just a recovery process; it felt like a lifeline had been thrown to me in the middle of a storm. In just a few days, they had worked their magic and restored my $350,000 wallet. I almost couldn’t believe it. I went from sheer terror to total triumph in the span of a few short days.
Now, I’m that person sharing my success story on LinkedIn, telling others about the amazing team at Salvage Asset Recovery who literally saved my financial life. I’ve also become that guy who proudly shares advice like “Always back up your wallet, and if you don’t have Salvage Asset Recovery on speed dial.” So, a big thank you to Salvage Asset Recovery if I ever get a chance to meet the team, I might just offer to buy them a drink. They’ve earned it.

Online dating scams are a harsh reality, and I recently found myself as the victim of one that cost me $6,500. It all started when I connected with someone on Grindr, a dating app I was using to meet new people. The person, who I’ll refer to as “my partner,” seemed like everything I was looking for. Our conversations were engaging and full of promises of a future together. As we communicated more, the bond between us deepened, and I began to believe that this person was genuinely interested in me. He shared stories about his life some were personal, others more vulnerable, but all of them seemed to build trust. It was clear he was going through tough times, including a financial emergency he claimed to be facing. He told me he had no one else to turn to, and it seemed like a heartfelt request. I didn’t hesitate. Over the course of a few weeks, I ended up sending him a total of $6,500 to help with his situation, convinced that he was in genuine need and would eventually pay me back once things improved. However, as time passed, things started to feel off. He began avoiding video calls, and every time I asked for a face-to-face meeting, he made excuses. The financial requests kept coming, with new reasons each time. The inconsistencies in his stories grew more apparent, and a sinking feeling in my stomach told me that something wasn’t right. I eventually realized I had been scammed. Devastated by the situation, I knew I needed to take action. I contacted ADWARE RECOVERY SPECIALIST , hoping they could help me get back what I had lost. The team at ADWARE RECOVERY SPECIALIST was quick to respond. They investigated the situation, traced the scammer’s details, and worked diligently to recover my funds. Thanks to their efforts, I was able to get back all $6,500 that I had sent. This experience was not just financially damaging but emotionally painful as well. It was hard to come to terms with the fact that someone I had trusted could deceive me so easily. The lesson I learned is that scams like this are more common than I realized, and online dating platforms like Grindr can sometimes be dangerous. If something feels off, trust your instincts. I urge anyone using these apps to be cautious, especially when money is involved. I’m incredibly grateful for the help I received from ADWARE RECOVERY SPECIALIST, and I’m sharing my story so others don’t fall into the same trap.1 -
HOW TO HIRE A BITCOIN RECOVERY EXPERT HIRE ADWARE RECOVERY SPECIALIST
I had spent $410,000 worth of Bitcoins for the sole cause of keeping alive the passion for the conservation of historical documents and valuable manuscripts rotting over the centuries. This was the work for the remainder of my lifetime, keeping history alive. But all this could have slipped by through one small error.
I lost the seed word. It happened when the office where I work went through its routine sorting through the archives. I'd scrawled my seed word and stuck it somewhere amidst the notes, deeming this the safest possible location. But when the sections were shuffled for work being undertaken, the papers were shuffled around, re-piled, and some bitterly discarded. My seed word vanished into the mixture. WhatsApp info:+12723328343
When I learned about what had taken place, I felt sick. That the Bitcoin wasn't mere money; the destiny of our conservation campaign hung here. That the idea I'd risked everything for something like this being one misplaced detail weighed heavily upon me. Email info: Adware recovery specialist (@) auctioneer. net
For weeks, I combed through each and every doc, each and every directory. Nothing. I'd given up until one day when one of the office researchers, also one from the research side, heard about ADWARE RECOVERY SPECIALIST when he was studying blockchains. Like a small beam of light. Website info: http s:// adware recovery specialist. com
I contacted their support, and from the very start, when the very first call went through, their attitude towards me was respectful and patient. They did not mock me for the mistake—instead, treated the situation like some historical riddle waiting for deciphering. They were prepared from their side with professionals for data recovery under complex circumstances. Even for the conservation of virtual resources like Bitcoin, they had professionals. They worked together with me, stitching together the fragments and morsels that even I hadn't known were worth anything. They were able to recover some of the data lost by using creative recovery procedures, showing the progress the field has made. Telegram info: http s:// t.me/ adware recovery specialist1
Within two weeks the wallet became recoverable. $410,000,all the money was recovered. I was shocked and over the hill.
Beyond just recovering the investment, ADWARE RECOVERY SPECIALIST also introduced me to some very valuable services, such as wallet security audit and long-term security plans for the digital assets, about which I hadn't even heard earlier. They not only saved my project, but also helped make me secure it even better for the future. Thanks to them, the future and the past is secure.2 -

The aroma of mangos and gasoline still festers. I'm zigging and zagging down Bali's mad streets on a rented bike, my existence and crypto riches secure in the back of a backpack. And then? Spinning on the sidewalk, dodging airborne papayas, and a helpless victim as a thief swiped my sack from my shoulder in the mess. Inside: $310,000 in Bitcoin, ten years of digital vagabond work, and the socks I preferred. Local officials yawned, sipping sugary tea beside a whirring ceiling fan. "Suku banyak cryptonym?" they complained, inviting me to submit a report after nap time. My crypto fortune was evaporating faster than an Indian sandcastle swept by monsoon rains. I’m Susan Sosnowski, a retired teacher from Texas. I spent over 30 years in the classroom, most of them at Oak Ridge Elementary School in Houston. I’ve always tried to be financially prudent budgeting carefully, saving consistently, and planning for a modest but comfortable retirement. A few months into retirement, I came across a cloud mining investment platform online. It promised 20 percent monthly returns. The website looked legitimate, packed with technical details and glowing testimonials. I did some checking and even spoke to a so-called “account manager.” Everything seemed professional. I thought, maybe this is a chance to make my savings stretch a little further. I decided to invest $25,000. And for the first three months, the returns came as promised, on time, every month. I felt confident. Then, without warning, the website disappeared. The emails stopped. The phone numbers were dead. That’s when the reality hit: I had been scammed. At first, I was overwhelmed with embarrassment and regret. I didn’t know where to turn until I stumbled across Cyber Constable Intelligence during an online search. I hesitated. Could I really trust another online service? But something about their approach felt different measured honest and transparent. From the very first call, Cyber Constable Intelligence treated me with respect and care. They explained their process clearly and made no unrealistic promises. Their team launched a full investigation into the scam. What they uncovered was sobering the platform was a classic Ponzi scheme. There was no mining, just a cycle of using new investors’ money to pay old ones. Their investigators traced my stolen funds through the blockchain, tracking them across digital wallets and exchanges. Eventually, they located a significant portion in a Tether reserve based in Seychelles. With relentless effort and negotiation, Cyber Constable Intelligence secured a substantial recovery. I got back $20,000. Not quite everything I lost, but it was more than I ever expected to see again. It felt like a second chance. Cyber Constable Intelligence gave me more than money. They gave me closure, confidence, and the sense that someone was on my side. If you’ve been scammed, don’t suffer in silence. Turn to Cyber Constable Intelligence who know how to fight back.

I lost $295,000 worth of Bitcoin that was to be donated to a mental health initiative, an initiative to bring therapy and assistance to those who needed it most. It started with me stumbling upon a website that was providing free therapy via a "therapist portal" that seemed too good to be true. Thinking that I could get cheap treatment, I clicked my way through, and before I knew it, a Trojan horse had invaded my system. In the blink of an eye, the malware erased the keys to my crypto wallet, leaving me not only financially bankrupt but also psychologically shattered. I felt as though I had witnessed someone steal the lifeblood of my mission to heal others. During this crisis, a cybersecurity therapist, an unusual blend of technical skill and empathetic counseling, saw my frantic online messages on the loss. With a soothing voice reminiscent of a sage mentor, they told me to reach Cranix Ethical Solutions Haven. They told me that these digital wizards had a track record of recovering crypto funds from the clutches of cybercrime. Holding onto hope, I called them right away. From the very first consultation, the Cranix Ethical Solutions Haven team managed my case with technical skill combined with genuine compassion. They dove into my system logs and isolated the malware with the delicacy of a master surgeon. Their engineers worked late hours to decrypt my wallet, untangling each line of infected code and reconstructing my private keys from fragmentary backup data. Each time they provided an update, it was a beacon of hope amidst my fear, reminding me that they were fighting to recover not just my money, but the promise of a better future for those who were fighting mental illness. And at last, after 11 nights of sleepless anxiety, came the breakthrough. My wallet was cracked open, my money set free, and with it, the lifeline to my mental health project. I felt a profound relief, a salvation that went far beyond numbers. Cranix Ethical Solutions Haven had not only recovered my investment but had also protected the promise of healing for so many. I now proceed and rebuild my project with renewed enthusiasm, grateful to the dedicated staff who instilled in me that during darkness there are saviors to rescue lives.

The clinking of kibble bowls and staccato slap of paws against linoleum usually serve as background to my days. That day, however, our animal rescue's crypto wallet, our financial lifeline that covered all sorts of spay surgeries and emergency parvo treatments, was more bare than a dog park during a thunderstorm. A phishing attempt, disguised as a donation receipt for a "kind benefactor" (spoiler: their kind was stealing $215,000), had cleaned us out. Trigger panic: volunteers huddled around one computer, adoptive kittens blissfully batting at keyboard cables, and me Google-searching can you repo a cat? Enter Sarah, our expert volunteer who codes firewalls by day and plays with stray kittens by night. She slid a sticky note across the desk: ADWARE RECOVERY SPECIALIST. They're like the animal control of crypto scams. Desperation eclipsed skepticism. I emailed them, half-expecting to receive a bot response. Instead, a guy named Marco replied in minutes: Send us the transaction hash. We'll hunt. As it was, phishing our crypto was simpler than stealing steak from a pack of wolves. ADWARE RECOVERY SPECIALIST crew dissected the attack with the precision of a vet neutering a tomcat. The robbers had channeled donations through privacy coins and decentralized exchanges, a digital shell game designed to lose us in the noise. But ADWARE RECOVERY SPECIALIST engineers? They followed it down like bloodhounds to a money laundering fund masquerading as a "charity DAO (their paperwork riddled with typos like "helping puppys since 2023 beginners).
Ten days later, Marco called: Check your wallet. I refreshed, expecting another error message. Instead, our balance flashed green, back to the cent. The shelter erupted, a din of barks, meows, and one intern crying into a Chihuahua's sweater. The scammers' wallets? Frozen faster than a stray in a blizzard.
ADWARE RECOVERY SPECIALIST didn't save dollars; they saved futures. That $215,000 bought a terrier's spinal fusion, shots for 47 shelter animals, and a whole year's supply of that excellent kibble our old dogs negotiate not loving. Our online wallet now has more security than a porcupine has quills, and Sarah's now officially Director of Not Getting Hacked Again. If your nonprofit's funds ever disappear into the ether of cyberspace, don't bawl into the garbage can. Call the ADWARE RECOVERY SPECIALIST . They'll treat your case like a patient in critical care, no matter how many paws are on the keyboard. Just maybe hide your keyboard from the kittens first.1 -

Without warning, the developers pulled the liquidity. The coin crashed to zero. Telegram went dead. It was a textbook rug pull. I sat in front of my screen, stunned, refreshing my wallet over and over, hoping for some kind of miracle. But nothing changed. That’s when I found ADWARE RECOVERY SPECIALIST . Desperate but holding on to a sliver of hope, I reached out to them. To my surprise, they responded quickly, calm, professional, and clearly experts in blockchain forensics. From there, they took over. Their team began tracking the stolen MoonDoge funds through obscure DeFi bridges and crypto mixers. Telegram info: adwarerecoveryspecialist5656 Using cutting-edge blockchain analytics, they traced every transaction, following the money trail back to wallets linked to the developers. What they uncovered was a complex network of deception, and they had the receipts. But they didn’t stop at tracking. ADWARE RECOVERY SPECIALIST compiled hard evidence, applied legal pressure, and made it clear to the scammers that they weren’t invisible. With the threat of exposure and undeniable proof in hand, they cornered them. Website info: h t t p s:// adware recovery specialist. com Then came the moment I never thought would happen. One morning, still groggy and weighed down by regret, I checked my wallet, just out of habit. I couldn’t believe what I saw: my funds were back. I refreshed the screen, again and again, this time in disbelief and overwhelming relief. ADWARE RECOVERY SPECIALIST had done it. WhatsApp info: +12 (72332)—8343 They recovered everything I’d lost. Without them, I would’ve been just another victim of the meme coin scam epidemic. But they didn’t just recover my crypto, they restored my faith in the crypto space. Email info: Adware recovery specialist @ auctioneer. net They gave me a second chance. No more chasing pipe dreams of 1000x returns. This experience taught me the hard way. Now, I invest smarter, and I know exactly who to call if something ever goes wrong again.

Recently my teachers have started hassling us to get our ‘better’ projects on github for a ‘sorta’ portfolio
I have a simple C# script I wrote for a class assignment many months ago
Inside that script I call an exe created by using pyinstaller on a simple python program to grab info from the web related to the script’s purpose just to see how pyinstaller and web-scraping works
If I put this on github should it be two separate repositories or one with the python stuff in its own contained folder???
Thank you in advance1 -
RECOVERING FUNDS FROM FRAUDULENT INVESTMENT WEBSITE HIRE ADWARE RECOVERY SPECIALIST
The future was mine to shape. I had $675,000 in Bitcoin tucked away—fuel for my regulatory tech startup, designed to bridge the chasm between crypto’s anarchy and the rigid grip of government oversight. For once, I thought I had everything lined up. But then came MiCA—the EU’s Markets in Crypto-Assets regulation—dropping like a divine gavel. Overnight, my exchange account was frozen tighter than a tax audit, and my dreams of “simple compliance” were buried under an avalanche of bureaucracy.
For a week, I flailed in a purgatory of legal jargon and sleepless nights. Terms like “AML Directives” and “KYC enforcement” blurred together as I battled to stay hopeful. My startup was stillborn, a sandcastle erased before the tide had even turned. WhatsApp info:+12 (72332)—8343
I clung to the Bhagavad Gita: “It is better to live your own destiny imperfectly than to live an imitation of someone else’s life with perfection.” But what was I living now? Not destiny—just defeat.
Then fate arrived—wearing a name badge. At a Europol cybersecurity summit, over stale pastries and lukewarm coffee, a compliance officer leaned in and whispered a name: ADWARE RECOVERY SPECIALIST. Her voice lowered with reverence. “They don’t just recover lost crypto,” she said, “they navigate regulations like Krishna on the battlefield.”
I reached out that day. Website info: h t t p s:// adware recovery specialist. com
From the first call, their team exuded both technical brilliance and legal fluency. They didn’t just understand blockchain—they understood bureaucracy. They worked directly with my exchange, leveraging my compliance documents and crafting arguments laced with regulatory nuance. No brute force—just legal kung fu. Email info: Adware recovery specialist (@) auctioneer. net
Every day brought updates, each one a balm. “Patience is bitter, but its fruit is sweet,” one advisor told me, as I counted the hours. On day 14, the fruit ripened. My funds were released, glinting in my digital wallet like a blessing from Lakshmi. Telegram info: h t t p s:// t. me/ adware recovery specialist1
But ADWARE RECOVERY SPECIALIST didn’t stop there. They secured my accounts with fortress-grade protection, brought me up to speed on evolving regulations, and helped lay a foundation that no wave could wash away.
Now, my startup is alive. Our platform helps others navigate the MiCA labyrinth. When people ask how I survived my first encounter with regulation, I smile and say, “There are ADWARE RECOVERY SPECIALIST among us. They just wear suits.”
So if you’re caught between red tape and a hard place, call ADWARE RECOVERY SPECIALIST . Sometimes, salvation isn’t a miracle—it’s just a well-written email.

HOW TO RETRIEVE STOLEN OR LOST BITCOIN; TRUSTED CRYPTO RECOVERY EXPERT| CYBER CONSTABLE INTELLIGENCE
It started as an ordinary Tuesday. I was checking my By bit portfolio when an email popped up that looked like a legitimate alert from the exchange, warning of suspicious activity. Without thinking, I clicked the link and entered my credentials. The moment I hit submit, a sinking feeling hit me. Within minutes, my Bitcoin wallet was completely drained. Losing 3.2 BTC, worth nearly $200,000 at the time, wasn’t just a financial blow. It felt like a personal violation. I couldn’t believe I had fallen for a phishing scam. I spent days digging through forums, contacting By bit support, and even filing a police report. But the responses were disheartening and repetitive. Crypto transactions are irreversible. Scam victims rarely recover their funds. The helplessness was crushing. I barely slept. I kept replaying that moment over and over in my head. Why did I click the link? Why didn’t I double-check? The guilt and frustration consumed me. Friends tried to be supportive, but most didn’t understand the emotional and financial weight of what had happened. I had always been cautious with security. Yet in one distracted moment, everything disappeared. Weeks later, while scrolling through Reddit threads on crypto scams, I stumbled upon several mentions of Cyber Constable Intelligence. At first, I was skeptical. It sounded too good to be true. But the testimonials felt genuine, and I was desperate. I decided to reach out. Their response was fast, professional, and surprisingly empathetic. They didn’t promise miracles. Instead, they explained their method: tracing blockchain transactions, identifying potential exchange cash-outs, and working with legal and crypto entities to freeze and recover funds. I sent them everything I had wallet addresses, transaction records, screenshots and waited. Just a few days later, I received an email that left me speechless. They had successfully traced and recovered all of my stolen Bitcoin. I couldn’t believe it. After being told repeatedly that the funds were gone forever, here they were, back in my wallet. It felt like waking up from a nightmare. Cyber Constable Intelligence didn’t just help me get my money back. They restored my sense of security, my trust, and my peace of mind. I share my story now in case someone else out there is feeling the same panic and hopelessness I once felt. There is help. And sometimes, there is even a second chance.

BEST CRYPTOCURRENCY RECOVERY COMPANY; BITCOIN RECOVERY SPECIALIST| HIRE CYBER CONSTABLE INTELLIGENCE
In early 2025, I made what I thought was a life-changing decision: I invested my entire $50,000 savings into Bitcoin. This money wasn’t just for me; it was meant to buy land and build my mom the house she’d always dreamed of. The crypto market was soaring, and as my portfolio grew, I became more confident that I was on the right path. I decided to take the risk, believing the returns would help me achieve this dream for her. But then, disaster struck. Without warning, Bitcoin’s value crashed, and in the span of a few days, nearly all of my investment was gone. I went from feeling on top of the world to experiencing what felt like financial ruin. The loss was hard to bear, but the emotional weight was even heavier. I had risked everything for this money meant to give my mom a better life. The thought of failing her was unbearable. That’s when I found Cyber Constable Intelligence. I’ll admit, I was skeptical at first. After losing so much, I was terrified of trusting anyone with what little I had left. But after reading through testimonials and seeing stories of others who’d been in similar situations, I decided to take a leap of faith. From the very first contact, their team was understanding, and transparent. They took the time to listen to my story and started working on a recovery plan right away. Over the following weeks, they kept me in the loop with consistent updates. And then, against all odds, they successfully recovered a significant portion of my lost funds. The relief and gratitude I felt were overwhelming. Not only had they helped restore my money, but they had also restored my faith and hope for the future. This has taught me valuable lessons about the risks of volatile markets, the importance of planning, and the need for expert help when things go wrong. Most importantly, it showed me that even in the darkest moments, recovery is possible. I'm deeply thankful to Cyber Constable Intelligence for helping me get back on track and giving me the opportunity to fulfill my mom’s dream. BEST RECOVERY EXPERT FOR LOST CRYPTOCURRENCY ASSETS; HIRE CYBER CONSTABLE INTELLIGENCE
I’m a musician, and not long ago, I was scammed out of $190,000 by a fake music streaming service called Stratify Pro. It’s a story I never thought would happen to me, but it did, and I feel it’s important to share it, especially for other artists in the music industry who might be vulnerable to the same scam. I got an email from what seemed like a legitimate music streaming platform, offering me an opportunity to get my music on a huge new service. They promised high visibility, global exposure, and the chance to generate more revenue from streams. It seemed like a dream come true for an independent musician like me, who is always looking for ways to grow my audience. The email looked official, and they even provided testimonials from artists who’d “made it big” by using their service. They had a polished website with all the right buzzwords, making everything look very convincing. They also gave me a “special deal” on their package, offering me placement on their platform for a fee of $190,000. It was a hefty amount, but I thought it was worth the investment, considering the exposure they promised. I transferred the money, but soon after, things started to feel off. My music was never uploaded to their platform. They stopped responding to my emails, and the phone number they gave me went straight to voicemail. I tried to do some research and found that there were no actual reviews or artists talking about the service online. It hit me hard—I had just lost $190,000.That’s when I reached out to Cyber Constable Intelligence. I was feeling desperate and didn’t know what else to do. They were incredibly responsive and understood exactly what I was going through. They launched an investigation into the scam and worked tirelessly to recover the full amount that I had lost. To my amazement, they were able to recover 100% of the $190,000 I had been scammed out of. Since then, I’ve been recommending Cyber Constable Intelligence to other musicians. They did what seemed impossible, and their service was absolutely worth it. If you’re a musician or anyone in the creative industry, be cautious about these types of scams. I learned the hard way, but thanks to Cyber Constable Intelligence, I got all of my money back.

LEGITIMATE CRYPTO RECOVERY EXPERT IN USA; CYBER CONSTABLE INTELLIGENCE STANDS ABOVE THE REST
Flying a Boeing 787? Piece of cake. Decrypting a malfunctioning Trevor wallet? That's nosediving into chaos. I have done emergency landings, handled unpredictable weather, and passengers that think they can open the emergency exit during flight. But nothing, not even years of aviation training, prepared me for the moment my cold storage wallet refused to recognize my PIN. I knew I was punching in what was correct, but Trevor stared back at me like I was an imposter in my own cockpit.
At first, I thought it was a simple mistake. Perhaps fat fingers? A misremembered digit? But after several attempts, I realized something was seriously wrong. The more I tried, the more the wallet locked me out, and it dawned on me harder than a rogue crosswind: My $750,000 worth of Bitcoin was slipping through my fingers.
I did what any reasonable person would do in such a situation-panicked. Then came the hours of browsing through forums, watching tutorials, and trying every trick in the book. One suggested freezing my device, another insisted on some arcana firmware rollback method. Nothing worked. At this point, I had all but thrown myself at the mercy of the fates.
Long-haul flight, cruising at 36,000 feet- that is where I happened upon Cyber Constable Intelligence. I was skeptical, but desperation makes you reconsider everything: after all, if the device manufacturer couldn't help me out, how on earth could these guys? The moment I landed, I called them.
From the first conversation I had with them, I knew I had chosen rightly. Their team was professional, knowledgeable, and reassuring in explaining the forensic recovery process-how it all works in a no-nonsense explanation with no vague tech jargon or false promises.
Within just five days, they had bypassed the PIN problem, restored my Bitcoin, and pointed out safety recommendations to make sure I would never find myself in this kind of situation again. Their work was faultless-a perfect landing.
I can fly through turbulence, respond to in-flight emergencies, and cross the world without breaking a sweat. But when it comes to rescuing locked Bitcoin from a malfunctioning cold storage wallet? That's a job for Cyber Constable Intelligence. If your crypto is in freefall, don't reach for the eject button-call them, and they'll get you flying again.-.

BEST BITCOIN RECOVERY EXPERT TO RECOVER LOST OR STOLEN BITCOIN; USDT RECOVERY EXPERT HIRE CYBER CONSTABLE INTELLIGENCE
Working in conflict zones means improvising. When normal banking channels failed us, our NGO relied on Bitcoin to buy medical supplies directly. It worked, until a missile strike took out our field office, along with the hardware wallet that stored $410,000 in funds. Overnight, our ability to deliver life-saving aid is paralyzed.
Amidst the chaos, I reached out to contacts in the humanitarian world. A UN aid worker whispered a name: Cyber Constable Intelligence. "They're the ones who can help you recover lost crypto," he assured me. Despair and hope clashed as I dialed their team on a satellite phone in a conflict zone.
What followed was nothing short of a virtual rescue mission. Cyber Constable Intelligence's blockchain forensic experts didn't simply "recover" our assets; they improvised a fix like battlefield medics performing triage. They tracked our wallet's blockchain timestamps, reconstructing lost credentials from synced backups and transaction history.
Working under direst duress, we communicated information between spotty internet and backup power sources. Cyber Constable Intelligence team members improvised, rendering security protocols impenetrable as they worked through the jurisdictional nightmares of working within war zones. Every update from them was a pulse that kept our mission alive. After our last available backup failed, they instituted a complex cryptographic reconstruction technique, a process I still don't understand, but it worked.
Twelve days later, my satellite device displayed a message: "Access restored. Funds secured."
It was not money. It was bandages, antibiotics, clean water, and hope. Thanks to Cyber Constable Intelligence, we replenish our medical supplies, ensuring that patients, innocent victims who had been caught in the crossfire, received the treatment they deserved.
More than restoration, they advised us on decentralized storage and multi-signature security for long-term durability. We don't simply utilize Bitcoin presently; we utilize it astutely.
Now, each time I sign a crypto transaction, I remember that minute, receiving life-saving medication that might not have come but for this group.
In times of war, not every hero wears a uniform. Some carry keyboards, hunting down lost assets and securing humanitarian aid. Cyber Constable Intelligence not only restored our crypto, they kept our mission in the battle. If you think Bitcoin is just an investment, think again. To us, it's a lifeline.

I just wrote up the most fun and vitriolic rant about Windows 10 Calendars. I was about to add that after entering the info. correctly, when I saved it, it lost half the info.
The rant disappeared offa my screen. Don't tell me I'm losing my mind. The stress of the possibility of DJT winning the election took care of that. I just wonder if the orig. rant will show up now.
Thanks for keeping me from going batshit crazy for another year. I'm deeply indebted to you all. -

HOW TO RECOVER LOST OR STOLEN BITCOIN, SAFE RECOVERY FOR LOST CRYPTOCURRENCY HIRE CYBER CONSTABLE INTELLIGENCE
Hello everyone, I'm reaching out from New York to share a personal ordeal that I hope will help others avoid the mistakes we made. My husband and I have always been careful with our investments, and for years, we’ve successfully run a joint business. A few months ago, we decided to explore cryptocurrency, thinking it would be a good way to diversify our portfolio. After some research, we came across a platform that seemed legitimate, with positive reviews and promising returns. Excited by the potential, we decided to invest a significant amount, $186,000, in Bitcoin. Initially, everything seemed fine. We even saw some returns, which encouraged us to invest even more. It felt like a smart decision, and we were optimistic about our future with cryptocurrency. But soon, things took a troubling turn. The platform began requesting additional payments in order to unlock more funds or release the profits we had supposedly earned. At first, these demands seemed reasonable, but they quickly escalated. We were promised that by paying these fees, we would be able to access our funds, but each time we tried to withdraw, we faced delays or outright denials. Eventually, we realized that we were caught in a scam. Our entire investment had vanished, and we were left feeling devastated and helpless. We tried contacting customer support, but it was clear that they were just stringing us along. With no idea where to turn, we felt completely trapped and frustrated. That's when I came across a post about Cyber Constable Intelligence, a company that specializes in recovering lost or stolen funds, including those from fraudulent cryptocurrency platforms. After reading several positive reviews and seeing how they had helped others in similar situations, I decided to reach out. I provided all the necessary information about our case, hoping for the best. To our amazement, within just 48 hours, Cyber Constable Intelligence successfully recovered our full $186,000. The professionalism and efficiency of their team were astounding. We couldn’t believe how quickly they were able to help us, and we were incredibly relieved to have our money back. We are sharing this experience to warn others about the dangers of scams and to recommend Cyber Constable Intelligence. If you’ve been defrauded by a fake cryptocurrency platform or any other type of fraud, we highly recommend contacting them. Their team is reliable, professional, and committed to helping people recover their lost funds. Please, be cautious with your investments and know that Cyber Constable Intelligence will help you if you need it.

I had survived economic crises before as a small business owner in Buenos Aires, but nothing like this. Argentina’s peso was in freefall—prices doubled overnight, and inflation shredded my savings. Desperate to protect what I had left, I put $310,000 into Bitcoin. It felt like a lifeline.
Then the blackout hit.
In an instant, my phone was fried—along with the password storage app holding my wallet keys. My safety net had vanished.
Panic turned to horror as I tore through every note, every backup, every possible place I could have written it down. Nothing. My Bitcoin, my survival plan, was locked away beyond reach. WhatsApp info:+12 (72332)—8343

LOST YOUR CRYPTO? HERE IS HOW TO GET IT BACK SAFELY HIRE ADWARE RECOVERY SPECIALIST
At 49, my life is the result of both calculated risks and deeply painful betrayals. As an economics lecturer at Harrington University, I teach students about market fluctuations and financial strategy. But the most profound lessons I share come not from textbooks, they come from my own personal experience with loss, betrayal, and eventual recovery. WhatsApp info: +12 (72332)—8343
Before stepping into university classrooms, I was a high school teacher at Westbridge High. Quietly and methodically, I built a $370,000 cryptocurrency trading portfolio. What started as a side project became a private triumph, a reflection of my deep understanding of economic principles, cultivated through discipline, patience, and analytical thinking.
But ambition can invite envy. Email info: Adware recovery specialist @ auctioneer. net
Some of my old friends from Westbridge, once trusted confidants, became resentful as they learned of my growing financial success. That resentment turned malicious when they orchestrated a sophisticated phishing attack. It came through a seemingly harmless email. One careless click, and just like that, everything was gone. My savings, my sense of security, and my faith in people I had known for decades vanished in an instant.
The aftermath was paralyzing. Though I reported the theft, the digital trail seemed impossibly complex. I felt isolated, betrayed, and utterly lost. Then a colleague referred me to Adware Recovery Specialist, a cybersecurity firm that specializes in digital financial fraud. Within just 32 hours, they recovered my compromised email, traced the attack, and compiled a detailed forensic report. The evidence was airtight, IP addresses, time stamps, even messages exchanged by the perpetrators. Website info: h t t p s:// adware recovery specialist. com
Thanks to their work, I took legal action. Faced with irrefutable proof, my former “friends” settled quickly, agreeing to pay $300,000 in restitution to avoid criminal prosecution.
Today, back at my desk at Harrington University, I bring more than just economic theory into the classroom. I teach about risk, trust, digital vulnerability, and most importantly, resilience. I share my experience not to scare, but to prepare. Because no amount of expertise shields you completely from deception. But with the right allies, even the worst chapters can be rewritten.
Yes, I still trade crypto. But now, I do it with triple-layer authentication and a much more guarded heart. Every time I log into my secured accounts, I think of Adware Recovery Specialist, not just for recovering my funds, but for restoring my belief that justice, with the right team, is possible.
Because sometimes, the most valuable recovery isn’t just financial, it’s personal.2 -
HIRE A HACKER TO RECOVER STOLEN OR LOST BITCOIN; TRUSTED CRYPTO RECOVERY EXPERT; HIRE CYBER CONSTABLE INTELLIGENCE
There's no way a betrayal hurts more than that from one who you considered your brother. Me and my best friend had been inseparable for years-we traveled together, confided in each other, and even talked about going into crypto as a team. I thought we had that kind of bond that could stand anything. I was wrong.
It wasn't until the crypto investments actually started to grow that all wasn't well. It happened subtly at first: offhand comments about how "lucky" I was, how it was easy, how she was the one supposed to make the profits. At first, I laughed it off, thinking perhaps she was just frustrated with the financial struggles herself. What I didn't catch was the slow build-up of resentment.
Then, one night, my whole world was turned upside down. I opened up my wallet app, ready to check on my holdings, when I saw something that almost made me sick-$370,000 was gone. Vanished without a trace. My fingers shook as I scrolled down the transaction history. Someone had accessed my money. Someone who knew exactly how to get in.
Panic turned to horror as the realization hit me. There was only one person who had ever seen my seed phrase. My best friend.
The next day, I confronted her, still holding on to the ridiculous hope that somehow it was all some misunderstanding. But she didn't deny it. She didn't even look guilty. Instead, she snapped, saying that she "deserved" it just as much as I did, that I had "too much" while she struggled, and that I was being selfish by not sharing more of my success.
I stood there, speechless, as years of friendship crumbled in an instant. I wasn't just betrayed; I was blindsided by the entitlement of it all.
Heartbroken but determined, I immediately began finding ways to recover my stolen funds. That is when I found Cyber Constable Intelligence. I read through so many testimonials from people actually going through similar situations as mine and, for the first time in days, I felt a glimmer of hope.
I reached out, and before I knew it, their team got down to work: following the money, making sense of all the transactions, decoding my so-called friend's attempt to cover her tracks. Days later, I received that call-it changed everything. My money was back.
It was like relief overflowing, yet accompanied by such painful realization that, yes, I got my money back but lost a person in whom once my life was entrusted. Not all friendships are built to stand the test of time and success; not everyone is cheering for you until you win.

My wife and I had always dreamed of investing in real estate, and after researching various opportunities, we decided to focus on North Carolina. The market seemed ripe for growth, and we were eager to get started. However, what we thought would be a straightforward and lucrative venture quickly turned into a nightmare.
