I like to fold origami mostly following instructions from youtube-videos. It really helps to calm down and relax and it's a great feeling being able to fold figures without instructions after a couple of times.

I don't have a rubberduck so I'm using this origami dog that I made and glued it to my wall for "origami-dog-debugging"? I'm calling him Padfoot.

When somebody demos a new app to the CIO as a functional product but turns out to be a concept prototype made with Origami without any proper code... literally a glorified PowerPoint with animations....

After the capsule started spinning, what seemed to be a suspended copper wire unfolded like an origami. Soviet tech not only looked cool, but was easy to repair. I loved every minute of marveling at this wire kaleidoscope before it overheated and went out with a bang — a small cap popped. I’ll recap it later.

can't make a good handle for your razor? take just the razor part and call it "kamisori".
can't make a good knife blade lock mechanism? make a metal tab that people are supposed to hold with their thumb at all times and call it "higonokami".
can't make nails or screws? join pieces of wood with splinters and call it "ishitani".
can't make glue? fold paper so it just about holds its shape and call it "origami".
do you only have literal mud at your disposal? make a ball out of it and call it "dorodango".

remember kids, when a subpar thing is called a western name, it's frowned upon. but if the subpar thing is from japan, weebs will drool over it and buy it. simple as that.
