i'll b honest... never clicked on a rant so fast after reading the first line...
you got me πππππ
but hey, congrats on the office thing too ππ -
- post about it on social media - fb, insta, reddit, etc. whatever you use
- post on discord servers that allow it (for example, game dev league)
- if u use WhatsApp, make it ur Whatsapp status (m not proud of using Whatsapp, but i don't have a choice π )
- post some trailer or something on YouTube
- do some first giveaways (like... first 1000 people get some exclusive/rare in-game item, when total downloads reach, say 20k, everyone gets a treasure chest or something)
these are some ways i can think of to advertise, @WildOrangutan 's idea is also quite great! -
oooh that looks so cuteeeeeeeeeeeeee πππππππ
-
C++ ftw ππ
-
@Wisecrack ooh, that's a really tasty chewing gum π€πππ
-
@Wisecrack ππ okay fair enough, what do u use exactly? π€π
-
totally agree
brew has been the slowest package manager that i have used yet. i wish it would at least download the packages in the background while installing the downloaded ones in the foreground π’ -
π π

^_^
-
@Mvzes it evaluates to zero in C using the clang compiler π€
-
my laptop is going for repair today (not working since some days), so no PRs for me yet π
-
@inaba haha m so jealous right now πππ
i wanna hug her too πππ₯Ίπ₯Ί -
@inaba woooooow πππππ
that must feel so soft and fluffy on hands right? π€©π€©π€©πππ -
@Jilano πππ
-
@Jilano just like u have the right to dream π
-
@Jilano *ignores* xD
-
i do like operator mono and pragmata fonts, but both are paid... currently using mononoki... it's quite nice π€©
fira code is awesome but i got bored with it π π -
@metamourge so be it ππ
-
@metamourge πππππ
yep, OpenRC should die ππππππππ -
Gentoo for me. But I use it with systemd simply because I am more accustomed to it (and have grown to like it).
WM: awesome wm (extensible, enjoyable) -
so cuteeeeeeeeeeeeee πππππ
need more pics of that kitty πππππππ -
@jsframework9000 that means a lot, thanks π
and yea, i use my devrant pic pretty much everywhere.... it is just so nice ππ -
@jsframework9000 oooh nice! the last year's t shirt is fading anyway ππ
-
@jsframework9000 well, being in devops since 4 months, i'd say that it is fun for sure, but not for me. I live to write code, so i'll probably not last long here. But again, the field is fun and depending on the organization, sufficiently easy to get into π
-
@c64forthewin well, it's not finished yet so please don't envy me πππ
i actually almost quit multiple times too π π -
@RememberMe sure, thanks π
@metamourge thanks! i don't really like OOP too much, but the dot operator syntax for functions is definitely pleasing (to me at least) π
and, i wanted to keep the language relatively simple π€·π»♂οΈ -
now m actually feeling sad for the side projects π₯Ίπ₯Ί (the pic and my actual side projects)
-
@gitpush sure, will do π
for now everything seems to b going well π
let's hope that continues π -
@gitpush yea true, hence i was hesitant towards vultr, but i went with contabo... the initial setup costs 4€ extra, but for ~4€ a month, u get 2 vCPU, 4GB RAM, 300 GB storage, and unlimited 100 Mbps bandwidth ππ
-
@endor well, they disabled my account too so i won't b able to try anyway, and looking around on the internet, they might have categorized me to b in a "high risk" country, as they say π€·π»♂οΈ
@EmberQuill checked out skysilk, not bad... but not even close to the specs of contabo π
anyway,
i bit the bullet and went with contabo because of the high(er) specs than other options. on my way to setting things up (and yaay i got to install arch linux by default π)
thanks all of u for the suggestions β€οΈβ€οΈ
