Wait till they tell you start your own thing (agency or a product) .. that's another rabbit hole

@Grumm
At a bigger company with more employees, it doesn't make sense to eat up 11-12%
But since I am the only employee without any other benefits. I was wondering where I stand. -
@C0D4
Considering the percentage, that does sound a good deal. But in terms of actual salary, I am making a bit less compared to someone working at a bigger company with the same set of responsibilities.
But I am sticking with the company hoping it'd be a good investment on myself for the future. I just wanted to know where I stand.
But I guess you are right. I shouldn't complain. -
@CoreFusionX
I think you are absolutely right. I have a LinkedIn account with which I have a love-hate relationship as I get spammed by recruiters. I do have my own website and blog. Since the lockdown, I started experimenting with IG and I kinda got addicted to it, since I like creating video content so much. But I knew it started becoming a problem but I kept ignoring it saying that somehow it's gonna help me professionally. But I was wrong. -
@ryios
Yeah, even though the pay is really good and what I always wanted. company culture is not at all suited for my work style.
I think I work better with smaller startups.
I am thinking about accepting an offer at a smaller company with almost half the salary of what I am getting here. Also, maybe working from office will help with my anxiety. -
@Demolishun
I have developed a bit of social anxiety being cooped up at the house for most of the time. But I do hang out with my girlfriend and friends. But that leaves me even more exhausted sometimes.
Since I dropped the resignation letter. I have been doing nothing but playing video games to keep my mind oppcupied. All I am trying to do is not have another panic attack -
@IntrusionCM
We don't have social welfare. But I have been doing some introspection and I think I should take 3-6 months break and hopefully will figure out what to do next in that time. But I don't have enough savings to take time off.
So, I am looking for a different role where I won't need to crank out code as much. -
@dumbdev not getting a good offer where the work culture is good
-
I am going through the exact same situation.
Although I haven't broken up with my girlfriend, it's a complete roller coaster ride and I am sick of it. It is that bad that every time she comes over, I get a panic attack.
I have already traded big companies for a small company that pays way lower than my market worth but I have a good boss and good work culture.
But I was this guy who would do everything from heart without thinking about money or fame. Now, all I can think about is money money money. I am almost 30 and I feel like 40 already. I think I have done it all and I don't know where to go from here. I am constantly anxious, insomniac. Everyone around me thinks my life is great. But inside, I am slowly dying. I lost my sense of humour. I lost interest in my hobbies. I don't know where I am going in life
