Visual IDE for making programs (like scratch) [more details]

Today my classmate came up to me and said he was a hacker.

I told him to prove it, and guess what? HE ACTUALLY HACKED GOOGLE!

It was amazing! He impressed so many kids in the class with his skills of pressing F12! How impressive is that?

He even wore a black hoodie and can spell his name in binary code. Not to mention, he changed google doc's page color to black and the font to green as he typed his essay.

I need to be careful... This 1337 h4x0r is really scary.

We’ve also now started using GitLab, so I need to work out an easy way for use to transfer all of the reports from SourceSafe.

My favorite financial data provider hates me: It has changed the namespace on the root node of the xml.

So my day started well.

I come in an the DVR monitor is not working, ok lets turn it off and on, nope. Lets turn the DVR on and off, nope still nothing. Played around with the VGA cable, nope. I cant replace the cable because its hard wired into the monitor....

I grab the spare screen next to me and connect it all up and it works!

Boss tells me to throw "broken" monitor out, I say I want to test it just to make sure, connect it all up to my pc and now it fucking works!

There are days I hate technology....

When I was a little boy my father who was an entrepreneur back then hired a computer programmer to develop some kind of administrative software for him. He was programming on the Commodore VIC20. I was very interested in what he was doing and he gave me some books about programming basic on the VIC20. I read them, started programming and I've been hooked ever since!

As I do still remember this man's name I searched on the internet now and then to see if I could find him. End of last year I found him on FB and wrote him a message to thank him for what he did back then. It's because of him that I found out what I love doing most and have a great working career and life because I do what I love to do and get paid very well for it.

Im working on a html5 puzzle game for a local gamejam 😛

After an hour of debugging, realised that I wrote =+ instead of +=.

I will just to go in a corner and cry for a minute. brb guys.

So in my Freshmen year I was required to take beginner computer science...
Past it with flying colors.. It was just simple Javascript.
Come Sophomore year I took AP Computer Science. I got lower grades, not from the code, but from the Technical Writing that the teacher wants in our reflections and other writing portions, not apart of the course.
The code itself was easier then intro. We had block code... Why is that AP? Not Scratch, but very similar.

Never heard about SoloLearn before and now this...

I want to design my own games and apps, I learned fundamentals through sololearn and Udemy but as someone said on a previous status, theres nothing like a college degree. Any suggestions on good schools?

Don't ya think Sololearn should come up with more courses on Python modules like PyQT, Django, Flask, Bottle, Robot and so on.

So i've started learning Java. I used sololearn for the basics and bucky on YouTube for more advanced stuff. Does anyone have a tip what to try next? Or maybe some starter projects to really get to know more about the language?

Sololearn has probably the dumbest community I've ever seen...

I know that there are lot of beginners who just started learning programming, but if you can't even use the app, I don't think they will be able to learn programming.

Also all these little kiddies who want to get some badass hackers but don't even know how to do a fucking course (There are lots of questions like "Where can I learn HTML" while they are right in the fucking app, like holy sheeet).

Sometimes I browse the Q&A just because there so funny and dumb questions. Really amusing!

Is sololearn a bad place to start? Because I'm using it and I like it..

so here I am, at 3 in the morning on my tablet and I think, "Yes I too would like to join the pain of web development" so I download sololearn apps for html, JavaScript, CSS, SQL, and PHP.

WTF brain?!?! 😂
