Imagine a supposed technology to build web application that is supposedly "so good" that you have to spent months (literally) in order to use it and re-learning how to do things in non standard ways where you can't make use and reusing the knowledge you already has.
That these garbage of js frameworks all about. -
And what I hate about this garbage of js frameworks is actually dont get the big picture how the f---k they "philosophy" is going to help me build better applications.
All f---ink tutorials are only a description of its features and way of doing things, but they don't explain the WHY.
Always when I'm watching them, I said in my head "what ? I can do it far more simpler with jquery and js " or "he is breaking encapsulation !!! "" -
I just came to your post by googling "react is stupid".
I'm a seasoned dev trying to learn this stupid garbage, and even tutorials of react are so stupid.
Every time I try to watch a full tutorial they introduced made-up concepts for made-up problems. The only reason I trying to learn this garbage is because is spread in the job market like a f--ing disease.
A guy in this thread says that "try to find a bug in vanilla of jquery and will be a whack-a-mole game"... that is so stupid. It is far more easier to fix a vanilla js code because YOU HAVE ALL THE CODE OPEN and you don't have to deal with added react own bugs.
Remember Java frameworks ? Where are they now ? Velocity ? Struts ? Spring was the only survivor I think, and even that, it needed another "framework" because of its complexity ... that's where we are now... Nobody gave a damn about SPA until these f-- garbage like angular and react came to f--k the web application development. -
@rusty-hacker Idiot. Yes, there are complex applications, but a complex stupid framework make thing worse.
-
@Hedgepig Sorry but this is an absoluty wriong and idiot kind of see the subject.
Before frameworks we valued to work and learn the same standard languages and ways to do things.
Now you have to spend time to learn the "popular framework way" and in most cases that take months before you mastered them. So, you spend valuable time learning them for then have to forgot because there is a new popular framework in the neigboorhood and you have to throw to the garbage what your learned.
Remember all the forgotten old java frameworks that came in because the java platform lacked of an official way to do things ? Velocity ? JSP ? Struts ?
