!dev Why do non-tech people assume that CompSci devs won't have any trouble getting a job and that it's a rare skillset...? Complete misconception. lol

What the fuck is a compsci dev. Did you get a promotion without extra salary?, sounds like that.

@whimsical No need for comments like that.

because I get recruiters in my inbox even tho I'm set to not looking, have no picture, and have no work history for years, and never log in

@CaptainRant not sure what's wrong. I just say that a compsci is not a thing by my knowledge. I was younger than 20 and a business solutions engineer. I mean, wtf right.

@antigermgerm sure, but who calls it that way. Weird stuff. I, as ninjacodesci do not accept this a word.

@whimsical It's a theoretical programmer. They learn about algorithms that solve specific problems very efficiently - but essentially, it's just a flavour of a math degree instead of having anything to do with programming. Making it pretty useless in any real dev environment - except when you refactor the whole code base to get it to go faster but in reality or your data is in a remote DB so the fact you can now run something at 0.001s instead of 1s is irrelevant.
