*Rules For Work*
1. Never give me work in the morning. Always wait until 4:00 and then bring it to me. The challenge of a deadline is refreshing.
2. If it's really a rush job, run in and interrupt me every 10 minutes to inquire how it's going. That helps. Even better, hover behind me, and advise me at every keystroke.
3. Always leave without telling anyone where you're going. It gives me a chance to be creative when someone asks where you are.
4. If my arms are full of papers, boxes, books, or supplies, don't open the door for me. I need to learn how to function as a paraplegic and opening doors with no arms is good training in case I should ever be injured and lose all use of my limbs.
5. If you give me more than one job to do, don't tell me which is priority. I am psychic.
6. Do your best to keep me late. I adore this office and really have nowhere to go or anything to do. I have no life beyond work.
7. If a job I do pleases you, keep it a secret. If that gets out, it could mean a promotion.
8. If you don't like my work, tell everyone. I like my name to be popular in conversations. I was born to be whipped.
9. If you have special instructions for a job, don't write them down. In fact, save them until the job is almost done. No use confusing me with useful information.
10. Never introduce me to the people you're with. I have no right to know anything. In the corporate food chain, I am plankton. When you refer to them later, my shrewd deductions will identify them.
11. Be nice to me only when the job I'm doing for you could really change your life and send you straight to manager's hell.
12. Tell me all your little problems. No one else has any and it's nice to know someone is less fortunate. I especially like the story about having to pay so many taxes on the bonus check you received for being such a good manager.
13. Wait until my yearly review and THEN tell me what my goals SHOULD have been. Give me a mediocre performance rating with a cost of living increase. I'm not here for the money anyway.

1. I join a company.
2. I get deeply involved in "how to run the company", and get nice compliments from both coworkers & management about my skills in conveying startup/scaleup advice & necessities to upper management.
3. With my ego inflated through all the sweet talk, I think "ah, what the hell, let's do this again", and I accept a Lead/CTO promotion. I have to join board meetings, write reports on quarterly plans and progress.
4. I get unhappy/stressed/burned-out because I really just want to be a developer, not a manager/executive.
5. Upper management understands, I give up my lead position, lock myself back into my coding cave.
6. I get annoyed because the requirements I receive become more and more disconnected from reality, half of the teams seem to have decided to stop using agile/scrum, the testing pipeline breaks all the time, I get an updated labor contract from HR by mail which smells like charred flesh, etc
7. The annoyances become too much to do ANY work. I yell at the other devs outside of the entrance of my cave. There is no answer, only a few painful moans and sighs.
8. I emerge from my cave. The city has turned into a desolate wasteland. The office is a burning ruin, the air sharp and heavy with black soot. Disemboweled corpses of developers litter the poisoned soil.
Product Managers dressed in stained ripped suits scream at each other while they try to reinforce concrete barricades with scotch tape and post-its. *THUMP* Something enormous is trying to break through. "Thank God, bittersweet, you're still alive! The stakeholders! They have mutated! We couldn't meet the promised deadlines! We've lost the whole mobile app department, and that kid there is the last of the backenders and he's only an intern! You're here to save us, right? RIGHT?".
In the corner, between the overflowing coffee machine and a withered cactus, a young boy has collapsed onto the floor. His face is covered in moldy coffee grounds, clasping on to his closed macbook for dear life, wide-open eyes staring into the void, mumbling: "didn't backup the database, and It's all gone" over and over.
A severely dented black Tesla with a dragging loose bumper breaks through the dried up vertical herb garden and the smoothiebar, and comes to a halt against the beanbags in a big cloud of styrofoam balls.
The CEO limps out, leaking blood all over the upholstery. He yells to the COO: "The datacenter is completely flooded with sewage! I saved the backup tapes though", holding a large nest of tangled black magnetic tape mixed with clumps of mud above his head.
9. I collect my outstanding salary and sell any rewarded options/shares for a low dumping price, take a 5 month holiday, and ask a recruiter about opportunities in a different city.14 -
To become an engineer (CS/IT) in India, you have to study:
1. 3 papers in Physics (2 mechanics, 1 optics)
2. 1 paper in Chemistry
3. 2 papers in English (1 grammar, 1 professional communication). Sometimes 3 papers will be there.
4. 6 papers in Mathematics (sequences, series, linear algebra, complex numbers and related stuff, vectors and 3D geometry, differential calculus, integral calculus, maxima/minima, differential equations, descrete mathematics)
5. 1 paper in Economics
6. 1 paper in Business Management
7. 1 paper in Engineering Drawing (drawing random nuts and bolts, locus of point etc)
8. 1 paper in Electronics
9. 1 paper in Mechanical Workshop (sheet metal, wooden work, moulding, metal casting, fitting, lathe machine, milling machine, various drills)
And when you jump in real life scenario, you encounter source/revision/version control, profilers, build server, automated build toolchains, scripts, refactoring, debugging, optimizations etc. As a matter of fact none of these are touched in the course.
Sure, they teach you a large set of algorithms, but they don't tell you when to prefer insertion sort over quick sort, quick sort over merge sort etc. They teach you Las Vegas and Monte Carlo algorithms, but they don't tell you that the randomizer in question should pass Die Hard test (and then you wonder why algorithm is not working as expected). They teach compiler theory, but you cannot write a simple parser after passing the course. They taught you multicore architecture and multicore programming, but you don't know how to detect and fix a race condition. You passed entire engineering course with flying colors, and yet you don't know ABC of debugging (I wish you encounter some notorious heisenbug really soon). They taught 2-3 programming languages, and yet you cannot explain simple variable declaration.
And then, they say that you should have knowledge of multiple fields. Oh well! you don't have any damn idea about your major, and now you are talking about knowledge in multiple fields?
What is the point of such education?
PS: I am tired of interviewing shitty candidates with flying colours in their marksheets. Go kids, learn some real stuff first, and then talk some random bullshit.18 -

rant? rant!
I work for a company that develops a variety of software solutions for companies of varying sizes. The company has three people in charge, and small teams that each worked on a certain project. 9 months ago I joined the company as a junior developer, and coincidentally, we also started working on our biggest project so far - an online platform for buying groceries from a variety of vendors/merchants and having them be delivered to your doorstep on the same day (hadn't been done to this scale in Estonia yet). One of the people from management joined the team working on that. The company that ordered this is coincidentally being run by one of the richest men in Estonia. The platform included both the actual website for customers to use, a logistics system for routing between the merchants, the warehouse, and the customers, as well as a bunch of mobile apps for the couriers, warehouse personnel, etc. It was built on Node.js with Hapi (for the backend stuff), Angular 2 (for all the UIs, including the apps which are run through a WebView wrapper), and PostgreSQL (for the database). The deadline for the MVP we (read: the management) gave them, but we finished it in about 7 months in a team of five.
The hours were insane, from 10 AM to 10 PM if lucky. When we weren't lucky (which was half of the time, if not more), we had to work until anywhere from 12 PM to 3 AM, sometimes even the whole night. The weekends weren't any better, for the majority of the time we had to put in even more extra hours on the weekends. Luckily, we were paid extra for them, but the salary was no way near fair (the majority of the team earned about 1000€/mo after taxes in a country where junior developers usually earn 1500€/month). Also because of the short deadline given to us, we skipped all the important parts like writing tests, doing CI, code reviews, feature branching/PR's, etc. I tried pushing the team and the management to at least write tests and make feature branches/PRs, but the management always told me that there wasn't enough time to coordinate and work on all that, that we'll do that after launching the MVP, etc. We basically just wrote features, tested them by hand, and pushed into the "test" branch which would later get tested and merged into master.
During development, one of the other juniors managed to write the worst kind of Angular code you could imagine - enormous amounts of duplication, no reusable components (every view contained the everything used in the view, so popups and other parts that should logically be reusable were in every view separately), fuck - even the HTML was broken (the most memorable for me were the "table > tr > div > td" ones, but that's barely scratching the surface). He left a few months into the project, and we had to build upon his shit, ever so slightly trying to fix the shit he produced. This could have definitely been avoided if we did code reviews.
A month after launching the MVP for internal testing, the guy working on the logistics system had burned out and left the company (he's earning more than twice the salary he got here, happy for him, he is a great coder and an even better team player). This could have been avoided if this project had been planned better, but I can't really blame them, since it was the first project they had at this scale (even though they had given longer deadlines for projects way smaller than this).
After we finished and launched the MVP, the second guy from management joined, because he saw we needed extra help. Again I tried to push us into investing the time to write tests for the system (because at this point we had created an unstable cluster fuck of a codebase), but again to no avail. The same "no time, just test it manually for now, we'll do that later when we have time" bullshit from management.
Now, a few weeks ago, the third guy from management joined. He saw what a disaster our whole project was. Him joining was simply a blessing from the skies. He started off by writing migrations using sequelize. I talked to him about writing tests and everything, and he actually listened. He told me that I'm gonna be the one writing them, and also talked to the rest of management about it. I was overjoyed. I could actually hear the bitterness in the voices of the rest of management when they told me how to write the tests, what to test, etc. But I didn't give a flying rat's ass, I was hapi.
I was told to start off by writing a smoke test for the whole client flow using Puppeteer. I got even happier, since I was finally able to again learn new things (this stopped at about 4 or 5 months into the project).
I'm using jest as the framework and started writing the tests in TypeScript. Later I found a library called jest-extended, but it didn't have type defs, so I decided to write them and, for the first time in my life, contribute to the open source community.18 -

My life in a nutshell.
I've been stuck in this timeless loop for 10 years, anyone that relates?
1. Set alarm before going to bed.
2. Alarm rings, I turn it off.
3. Wakes up late.
4. Work from 08 AM to 4 PM.
5. Take the train back home
6. Plan what to do for the rest of the day.
7. Come home, do everything except what was initially planned.
8. Watching time goes by while doing non-productive things.
9. I feel alone, watch porn to fill this void.
10. I get depressed and unhappy afterward
11. Set the alarm for the next day.
12. Repeat.11 -
My instincts are telling me that i should resign from this company asap.
My team lead knows a to z of the project and he is the all rounder guy here. If my team lead leaves, I could be the one replacing him. But i don't want to accept this kind of responsibility.
My life goal is to not get sucked into the 9 to 5 life or work in this kind of environment.
The only pro i find is that i now have few more cool friends.
But I'd rather be be my own boss and work 24/7.
I now feel like living a lie going to work everyday..6 -
The DE life cycle of every Linux hobbyist:
1. Let's work with Unity.... it's so blah
2. Let's check out XFCE.... it does its job, but it needs more zing
3. Let's check out KDE...aah, my poor battery.
4. Let's check out LXDE.... Can you be any more boring?
5. Let's check out Pantheon.... This is perfect, but I'm tired of using a tweak tool to even enable minimize and maximize
6. Let's go to Gnome 3...Ah never mind
7. Let's go to Cinnamon... Blurgh, It reminds me of Windows
8. Let's go to MATE....Hmm, Mutiny layout?!! It reminds me of Unity. Wonder if Unity 8 has made any progress!
9. Go back to Step 1.16 -
(Best read while listening to AEnima by Tool, loudly)
Dear Current Workplace,
Fuck you, for the reasons enumerated below.
Fuck your enterprise grey blue offices, the stifling warm air of a hundreds of bodies and sub par "development laptops".
Fuck your shitty carbonated water machines which were a cost saving measure over decent drinkable water.
Fuck your fake "flexi time", "you can do home office whenever you want" bullshit. You're still inviting me to mandatory meetings at 09:00 regularly.
Fuck your shitty, in house, third part IT provider sister company. They're the worst of all worlds. If it was in company, we'd get to give out to them, if it was an external company we'd fire them. And yes, when I quit I will quote the dumpster fire that is our corporate VPN as a major factor.
Fuck your cheery, bland, enterprise communication. Words coming under the corporate letterhead seem to lose all association with meaning. Agile, communication, open are things you write and profess to respect, but it seems your totally lack understanding of their meaning.
Fuck your client driven development. Sometime you actually have to fix the foundations before you can actually add new features. And fuck you management who keep on asking "why are there so many bugs and why is it always taking longer to deliver new releases". Because of you, you fucknuts, Because you can't say "NO" to the customer. Because you never listen to your own experienced developers.
Fuck your bullshit "code quality is important to us" line. If it's so important, then let us fix the heap of shit you're selling so that it works like a quasi functional program.
Fuck you development environment which has 250 projects in a single VS solution. Which takes 5mins plus to compile on a quad core i7 with 32 gb of ram.
Fuck this bullshit ball of mud "architecture". I spend most of my time trying to figure out where the logic should go and the rest of the time writing converters between different components. All because 7 years ago some idiot "architect" made a decision that they didn't have to live with.
Actually, fuck that guy in particular. Yeah, that guy who was the responsible architect for the project for 4 years and not once opened the solution to look a the code.
Fuck the manual testing of every business process. Manual setup of the entities takes 10mins plus and then when you run, boom either no message or some bullshit error code.
Fuck the antiquated technology choices which cause loads of bugs and slow down development. Fuck you for forcing me to do manual tests of another developers code at 20:00 on a Friday night because we can't get our act together to do this automatically.
Fuck you for making sure it's very clear I'm never going to be anything but a code monkey in this structure. Managers are brought in from outside.
Fuck you for being surprised that it's hard to hire competent developers in this second rate, overpriced town. It's hard to hire anywhere but this bland shithole would have anyone with half a clue running away at top speed.
Fuck you for valuing long hours and loyalty over actual performance. That one guy who everyone hated and was totally incompetent couldn't even get himself fired. He had to quit.
Fuck you for your mediocrity.
Fuck you for being the only employer for my skill-set in the region; paying just well enough that changing jobs locally doesn't make sense, but badly enough that it's difficult to move.
Fuck you for being the stable "safe" option so that any move is "risky".
Fuck your mediocrity.
Fuck you for being something I think about when I'm not at work. Not only is it shit from 9 to 5 you manage to suck the joy out of everything else in my life as well?
Fuck you for making me feel like a worse developer every day I work here. Fuck you for making every day feel like a personal and professional failure. Fuck you for making me seriously leave a career I love for something, anything else.
Fuck you for making the most I can hope for when I get up in the morning is to just make it until the night.6 -
Tools i use on windows to make life better, what do u use ?

I get about 4-5 hours sleep. Like today: I went to work, made my lunch at work, got changed for football, played football from 7-9pm got home at 9:30, cooked, ate, showered and dried my hair and it's now 1am.
Tomorrow I got football training for another team so again I'll be getting into be at about 1am.
Also I forgot go mention ive got to get up at 6 for work And Friday I have to be at the doctors for 7. Yeyyyyy me!!! Don't even ask me about the weekend...
I feel like this classifies as a rant because I don't get to code at the weekends and it kills me 😡😡 especially when I want to contribute to certain packages and said I would. So fuck you social life. Fuck. You.
Ohhh and those fucking 'friends' that guilt trip you into seeing them because "you haven't seen me in ages 😢😢" there's a reason for that Barbra (keeping her identity secret) I'm fucking depressed and tired. Fuck the fuck right off.8 -
So here's my problem. I've been employed at my current company for the last 12 months (next week is my 1 year anniversary) and I've never been as miserable in a development job as this.
I feel so upset and depressed about working in this company that getting out of bed and into the car to come here is soul draining. I used to spend hours in the evenings studying ways to improve my code, and was insanely passionate about the product, but all of this has been exterminated due to the following reasons.
Here's my problems with this place:
1 - Come May 2019 I'm relocating to Edinburgh, Scotland and my current workplace would not allow remote working despite working here for the past year in an office on my own with little interaction with anyone else in the company.
2 - There is zero professionalism in terms of work here, with there being no testing, no planning, no market research of ideas for revenue generation – nothing. This makes life incredibly stressful. This has led to countless situations where product A was expected, but product B was delivered (which then failed to generate revenue) as well as a huge amount of development time being wasted.
3 - I can’t work in a business that lives paycheck to paycheck. I’ve never been somewhere where the salary payment had to be delayed due to someone not paying us on time. My last paycheck was 4 days late.
4 - The management style is far too aggressive and emotion driven for me to be able to express my opinions without some sort of backlash.
5 - My opinions are usually completely smashed down and ignored, and no apology is offered when it turns out that they’re 100% correct in the coming months.
6 - I am due a substantial pay rise due to the increase of my skills, increase of experience, and the time of being in the company, and I think if the business cannot afford to pay £8 per month for email signatures, then I know it cannot afford to give me a pay rise.
7 - Despite having continuously delivered successful web development projects/tasks which have increased revenue, I never receive any form of thanks or recognition. It makes me feel like I am not cared about in this business in the slightest.
8 - The business fails to see potential and growth of its employees, and instead criticises based on past behaviour. 'Josh' (fake name) is a fine example of this. He was always slated by 'Tom' and 'Jerry' as being worthless, and lazy. I trained him in 2 weeks to perform some basic web development tasks using HTML, CSS, Git and SCSS, and he immediately saw his value outside of this company and left achieving a 5k pay rise during. He now works in an environment where he is constantly challenged and has reviews with his line manager monthly to praise him on his excellent work and diverse set of skills. This is not rocket science. This is how you keep employees motivated and happy.
9 - People in the business with the least or zero technical understanding or experience seem to be endlessly defining technical deadlines. This will always result in things going wrong. Before our mobile app development agency agreed on the user stories, they spent DAYS going through the specification with their developers to ensure they’re not going to over promise and under deliver.
10 - The fact that the concept of ‘stealing data’ from someone else’s website by scraping it daily for the information is not something this company is afraid to do, only further bolsters the fact that I do not want to work in such an unethical, pathetic organisation.
11 - I've been told that the MD of the company heard me on the phone to an agency (as a developer, I get calls almost every week), and that if I do it again, that the MD apparently said he would dock my pay for the time that I’m on the phone. Are you serious?! In what world is it okay for the MD of a company to threaten to punish their employees for thinking about leaving?! Why not make an attempt at nurturing them and trying to find out why they’re upset, and try to retain the talent.
Now... I REALLY want to leave immediately. Hand my notice in and fly off. I'll have 4 weeks notice to find a new role, and I'll be on garden leave effective immediately, but it's scary knowing that I may not find a role.
My situation is difficult as I can't start a new role unless it's remote or a local short term contract because my moving situation in May, and as a Junior to Mid Level developer, this isn't the easiest thing to do on the planet.
I've got a few interviews lined up (one of which was a final interview which I completed on Friday) but its still scary knowing that I may not find a new role within 4 weeks.
Advice? Thoughts? Criticisms?
Love you DevRant <33 -
Typical code life?
1. Write rough comments
2. Write more detailed comments
3. Write pseudo code
4. Write semi-working but definitely ugly code
5. Write working but very ugly code
6. Refactor the code to be nicer, check for patterns, bottlenecks and other bits and pieces
7. Push to git the "final" code
8. After few months blame whoever wrote the code
9. Refactor all the things!

Eric Thomas' Top 10 Rules For Success
1- Know what you want.
If you don’t know what you want, how will you know what to say yes to in your life? Stop taking every body else’s leftovers and step up and take what you deserve!
2- Work on your gift.
We all have our own individual talents, gifts and strengths. But those natural gifts will only become truly great by refining and nourishing them. Natural ability will get you started, but commitment and determination to achieve greatness is what will get you to where you want to be.
3- No excuses.
Stop using your circumstances, finances or current position in life as an excuse to justify why you aren’t working towards your goals. You are in charge. If you aren’t where you want to be, take a look in the mirror and ask yourself honestly- WHY? Take responsibility for you life once and for all.
4- Upgrade your values.
Your values dictate your behaviours. And your behaviours create your results. If you want to a different result, you need to change your behaviour.
5- You reap what you sow.
Nothing in life is free. It is up to you to determine the course of your life. If you want success, you need to do what it takes, daily, to get there. Don’t focus so much on being successful. Focus on solving problems, helping others, and adding value to people’s lives, and success will come.
6- Education is the great equaliser.
If you are at the bottom, you need to learn. If you are at the top, you still need to learn. Never, ever, ever stop growing and educating yourself.
7- What is your WHY?
Why do you wake up in the morning and hustle? Why do you do what you do? Knowing the answer to this question is the single most important thing to know about yourself if you want to become successful. When you know WHY you are doing what you do, you won’t ever quit, even on a bad day.
8- Have boundaries.
If you want to be a huge success, you have to be strict on yourself with how you spend your energy. Distractions will come in many forms, family, friends, TV, but you have to make sure that your time is being spent wisely.
9- Speak from the heart.
Transparency is attractive. Don’t be afraid to open up to the world and let yourself be seen.
10- Succeed as bad as you want to breathe.
Everybody wants to be successful. But not everybody is willing to do the work that it takes to become successful. When you are willing to get so uncomfortable, so out of your depth, so blind that you have no other choice but to be successful, THEN you will become successful. The only question you need to ask yourself is this. Am I willing?

A /thread.
I have to say something important. As the story progresses, the rage will keep fueling up and get more spicy. You should also feel your blood boil more. If not, that's because you're happy to be a slave.
This is a clusterfuck story. I'll come back and forth to some paragraphs to talk about more details and why everything, INCLUDING OUR DEVELOPER JOBS ARE A SCAM. we're getting USED as SLAVES because it's standardized AS NORMAL. IT IS EVERYTHING *BUT* NORMAL.
START:
As im watching the 2022 world cup i noticed something that has enraged me as a software engineer.
The camera has pointed to the crowd where there were old football players such as Rondinho, Kaka, old (fat) Ronaldo and other assholes i dont give a shit about.
These men are old (old for football) and therefore they dont play sports anymore.
These men don't do SHIT in their lives. They have retired at like 39 years old with MULTI MILLIONS OF DOLLARS IN THEIR BANK ACCOUNT.
And thats not all. despite of them not doing anything in life anymore, THEY ARE STILL EARNING MILLIONS AND MILLIONS OF DOLLARS PER MONTH. FOR WHAT?????
While i as a backend software engineer get used as a slave to do extreme and hard as SHIT jobs for slave salary.
500-600$ MAX PER MONTH is for junior BACKEND engineers! By the law of my country software businesses are not allowed to pay less than $500 for IT jobs. If thats for backend, imagine how much lower is for frontend? I'll tell you cause i used to be a frontend dev in 2016: $200-400 PER MONTH IS FOR FRONTEND DEVELOPERS.
A BACKEND SOFTWARE ENGINEER with at least 7-9 years of professional experience, is allowed to have $1000-2000 PER MONTH
In my country, if you want to have a salary of MORE THAN $3000/Month as SOFTWARE ENGINEER, you have to have a minimum of Master's Degree and in some cases a required PhD!!!!!!
Are you fucking kidding me?
Also. (Btw i have a BSc comp. sci. Degree from a valuable university) I have taken a SHIT ton of interviews. NOT ONE OF THEM HAVE ASKED ME IF I HAVE A DEGREE. NO ONE. All HRs and lead Devs have asked me about myself, what i want to learn and about my past dev experience, projects i worked on etc so they can approximate my knowledge complexity.
EVEN TOPTAL! Their HR NEVER asked me about my fycking degree because no one gives a SHIT about your fucking degree. Do you know how can you tell if someone has a degree? THEY'LL FUCKING TELL YOU THEY HAVE A DEGREE! LMAO! It was all a Fucking scam designed by the Matrix to enslave you and mentally break you. Besides wasting your Fucking time.
This means that companies put degree requirement in job post just to follow formal procedures, but in reality NO ONE GIVES A SHIT ABOUT IT. NOOBOODYYY.
ALSO: I GRADUATED AND I STILL DID NOT RECEIVE MY DEGREE PAPER BECAUSE THEY NEED AT LEAST 6 MONTHS TO MAKE IT. SOME PEOPLE EVEN WAITED 2 YEARS. A FRIEND OF MINE WHO GRADUATED IN FEBRUARY 2022, STILL DIDNT RECEIVE HIS DEGREE TODAY IN DECEMBER 2022. ALL THEY CAN DO IS PRINT YOU A PAPER TO CONFIRM THAT I DO HAVE A DEGREE AS PROOF TO COMPANIES WHO HIRE ME. WHAT THE FUCK ARE THEY MAKING FOR SO LONG, DIAMONDS???
are you fucking kidding me? You fucking bitch. The sole paper i can use to wipe my asshole with that they call a DEGREE, at the end I CANT EVEN HAVE IT???
Fuck You.
This system that values how much BULLSHIT you can memorize for short term, is called "EDUCATION", NOT "MEMORIZATION" System.
Think about it. Don't believe be? Are you one of those nerds with A+ grades who loves school and defends this education system? Here I'll fuck you with a single question: if i gave you a task to solve from linear algebra, or math analysis, probabilistics and statistics, physics, or theory, or a task to write ASM code, would you know how to do it? No you won't. Because you "learned" that months or years ago. You don't know shit. CHECK MATE. You can answer those questions by googling. Even the most experienced software engineers still use google. ALL of friends with A+ grades always answered "i dont know" or "i dont remember". HOW IF YOU PASSED IT WITH A+ 6 DAYS AGO? If so, WHY THE FUCK ARE WE WASTING YEARS OF AN ALREADY SHORT HUMAN LIFE TO TEMPORARILY MEMORIZE GARBAGE? WHY DONT WE LEARN THAT PROCESS THROUGH WORKING ON PRACTICAL PROJECTS??? WOULDNT YOU AGREE THATS A BETTER SOLUTION, YOU MOTHERFUCKER BITCH ASS SLAVE SUCKA???
Im can't even afford to buy my First fuckinf Car with this slave salary. Inflation is up so much that 1 bag of BASIC groceries from Walmart costs $100. IF BASIC GROCERIES ARE $100, HOW DO I LIVE WITH $500-600/MONTH IF I HAVE OTHER EXPENSES?
Now, back to slavery. Here's what i learned.
1800s: slaves are directly forced to work in exchange for food to survive.
2000s: slaves are indirectly forced to work in exchange for money as a MIDDLEMAN that can be used to buy food to survive.
????
This means: slavery has not gone anywhere. Slavery has just evolved. And you're fine with it.
Will post part 2 later.8 -
Programmer OAth. Just read on a github repo
0. I will only undertake honest and moral work. I will stand firm against any requirement that exploits or harms people.
1. I will respect the learnings of those programmers who came before me, and share my learnings with those to come.
2. I will remember that programming is art as well as science, and that warmth, empathy and understanding may outweigh a clever algorithm or technical argument.
3. I will not be ashamed to say "I don't know", and I will ask for help when I am stuck.
4. I will respect the privacy of my users, for their information is not disclosed to me that the world may know.
5. I will tread most carefully in matters of life or death. I will be humble and recognize that I will make mistakes.
6. I will remember that I do not write code for computers, but for people.
7. I will consider the possible consequences of my code and actions. I will respect the difficulties of both social and technical problems.
8. I will be diligent and take pride in my work.
9. I will recognize that I can and will be wrong. I will keep an open mind, and listen to others carefully and with respect.4 -
1. It's gonna be more and more specialized - to the point where we'll equal or even outdo the medical profession. Even today, you can put 100 techs/devs into a room and not find two doing the same job - that number will rise with the advent of even more new fields, languages and frameworks.
2. As most end users enjoy ignoring all security instructions, software and hardware will be locked down. This will be the disadvantage of developers, makers and hackers equally. The importance of social engineering means the platform development will focus on protecting the users from themselves, locking out legitimate tinkerers in the process.
3. With the EU getting into the backdoor game with eTLS (only 20 years after everyone else realized it's shit), informational security will reach an all-time low as criminals exploit the vulnerabilities that the standard will certainly have.
4. While good old-fashioned police work still applies to the internet, people will accept more and more mass surveillance as the voices of reason will be silenced. Devs will probably hear more and more about implementing these or joining the resistance.
5. We'll see major leaks, both as a consequence of mass-surveillance (done incompetently and thus, insecurely) and as activist retaliation.
6. As the political correctness morons continue invading our communities and projects, productivity will drop. A small group of more assertive devs will form - not pretty or presentable, but they - we - get shit done for the rest.
7. With IT becoming more and more public, pseudo-knowledge, FUD and sales bullshit will take over and, much like we're already seeing it in the financial sector, drown out any attempt of useful education. There will be a new silver-bullet, it will be useless. Like the rest. Stick to brass (as in IDS/IPS, Firewall, AV, Education), less expensive and more effective.
8. With the internet becoming a part of the real life without most people realizing it and/or acting accordingly, security issues will have more financial damages and potentially lethal consequences. We've already seen insulin pumps being hacked remotely and pacemakers' firmware being replaced without proper authentication. This will reach other areas.
9. After marijuana is legalized, dev productivity will either plummet or skyrocket. Or be entirely unaffected. Who cares, I'll roll the next one.
10. There will be new JS frameworks. The world will turn, it will rain.1 -
1) Never be afraid to ask questions.
There are so many instances of situations where assumptions have been made that shouldn’t have been made, resulting in an oversight that could have been rectified earlier in a process and wasn’t.
Just because no one’s asking a question doesn’t mean you’re the only person who has it.
That being said, it’s really important to figure out how to ask questions. Provide enough context so that the audience for your question understands what you’re really asking. If you’re trying to troubleshoot a problem, list out the steps you’ve already tested and what those outcomes were.
2) When you’ve learned something, try to write about it. Try to break it down as though you were explaining it to a child. It’s through breaking down a concept into its most simple terms that you really know that you understand it.
3) Don’t feel like you have to code *all of the time*. Just because this is what you’re doing for a living doesn’t mean that you have to make it your life. Burnout is real, and it happens a lot faster if it’s all you do.
4) Find hobbies outside of tech!
5) Network. There are a number of great communities. I volunteer for and am a member of Virtual Coffee, and can vouch for that community being particularly friendly and approachable.
6) Don’t let a company pay you less than industry standard and convince you that they’re doing you the favor of employing you.
7) Negotiate salary. Always.
8) If you’re a career transitioner, don’t be afraid to talk about your previous work and how it gave you experience that you can use in programming. There’s a whole lot of jobs that require time management, multi-tasking, critical thinking, etc. Those skills are relevant no matter where you got them.
9) If it takes a while for you to get a gig, it’s not necessarily a reflection on you or your abilities.
10) Despite what some people would say, coding’s not for everyone. Don’t feel like you have to continue down a road just because you started walking down it. Life’s not a straight path. -
My current job makes me want to question my life choices.
Its a complete burnout.
I do 9 to 6 never 6 though its always 7 or 730 come home exhausted, and still on almost all days need to attend to customers after hours. Customer meeting at 8.30pm are quite consistent occuring. Being a developer, debugging meetings I can understand to a certain extent, but why the f i am preparing quotes and pitching products.
Want to prep for new job boom no time left to do so other than weekends.4 -
people with 8+ years of work from office experience, is 9-6 the only truth of work life? today in sprint planning, our manager suggested assigning 81 hours of tickets in a 2 week sprint and when a lot of us had 60-65 hours of work he was like "ehh it seems less . junior mgr , look into the softwares and create more tickets"
2 week sprint is 9 days +1 day for sprint planning + 2 sat Sunday 🥲 . additionally it takes me arohnd 2 hours to reach home so i try to get out by 5 pm and everyone starts staring at me. as am a bad example, i will probably be hearing from my manager in future about this.
need some tips on handling a stable work-office life. i am a covid graduate so i have seen a great wlb in work from home but its a true reality that for mext 30 years , the chances to work from home for more than 5 cumulative years is next to 0. so need a permanent office hack.
i don't think buttering boss's ass is a reliable solution . i just wanna be back at home by 7, do some workout, roam in car/watch series/work on hobby project (aka relaxing) eat and die on my bed for next day's horrific life9 -
!dev
1. It's one of those few times in life that listening to Lq's Numb doesn't make me feel less anxious. Or Somewhere I Belong. Either way, anxiety levels are on all time high.
2. I have completely lost appetite. Usually at this point in time I'd go to doctor and ask for Xanax or something similar, to chill for a few days. But covid. I ain't going to any clinic, plus, ain't nobody got time for that.
3. On top of everything, I am also PMSing. The lack of energy, times n. (n>10)
4. Struggling to get out of bed for hours is now a reality.
5. I'm glad ("glad" is exaggeration tho) this will pass in a few weeks. I am hanging on to that hope and experience tells me it will pass. But my feelings are like "nah, we doomed. Let's just run away. Or just sleep until it all passes or we die of starvation."
6. My brain must work for the next few days. If I have to push it by drowning it in sugar, I will. But I'm also obese rn. Well, I guess it's "Hello diabetes!".
7. My hands and feet are cold. Like, freezing cold. Meanwhile, the rest of me is sweating. This sucks. Ngl.
8. I feel like I'm fighting a losing battle. Like, those last stabby stabs moments in a battle where you know you're gonna fall down soon. I know this feeling of doom and gloom is PMS related, but it's there. I have no solution for that aside from nicotine and sugar.
9. I can't even cry. Which is sad.
... Do you see what's happening there? That's the loop I'm in.5 -
I got so many concerns/questions about the EU chat control and the future. Sorry for my long rant lol:
1) What about projects that are on life support and no active development?
2) What about chat application in video games or the chat service on the website of a local shop
3) What about false flags? Like that parent who got into legal trouble for sharing a picture of his kid with a doctor to get a medical opinion on some skin condition. (might misremember the details)
4) What about false flags like instagram banning accounts and forwarding it to the police department and over-exhausting the resources of the police (accidental 'DDOS' of their personel)
5) What if the content shared in country A is legally OK but not in country B. What if you then travel there? Or if your participant is from that country B.
6) What about content that is taboo but should be OK to discussed? Like puberty or hormonal discussions online? Some subreddits like "stopsmoking" is now also regional banned by Reddit in the UK to avoid any unneeded risks. That is bad. YouTube had some problem where adult content existed on their platform but labeled as educational.
7) What if you encrypt messages before sending it. Will you be banned just in case? What if you need support with an app and you send an encrypted application crash log that came from your computer, will you now be banned just in case?
8) What if you like privacy and have those apps for innocent purposes. Is having those apps now illegal
9) What if criminals use apps from Asia or Africa or somewhere where this law is not present/enforced. Or what if they create a simple app with this encryption. It is not difficult to make one.
10) Before 2001, airport security was very lax but then 9/11 happened and the security increased. It never went back to the state before. Since they have or will have this check, what will them stop it from expanding it after the next disaster of an unrelated accident (like terrorist attack).
11) What if those services miss a case? Will the company that allows this to be send now have legal trouble?
12) What if users are using metaphors or practice self-censorship to avoid flagged words? We see it with monetization in social media (like murder or killing is replaced with "unaliving")
13) It will be just an other problem to start a new company with limited budget. So start-ups will just have a bit harder time to break into the market.
14) this might just push users away from mainstream options
15) it's just an other attack vector for hackers to use
16) Do we want to have private companies be able to scan our messages because they are contracted by the government? They can have their own bias to satisfy their shareholders. What if they are invested by the Big Oil so critic towards the Big Oil is altered? How certain can you be this won't happen now or in the future. Reddit Admin did that before so who knows at this point.
17) Anonymity will disappear.
18) Different companies verify users and store this data so this seems like a major cyberrisk and identity theft waiting to happen
19) fragmentation of users. it is now annoying that some family or friends don't use whatsapp but use telegram and the other way around. You might need +5 chat application to keep contact and lose social relationships.
20) Is AI detected messages even legal proof in court?
21) What if you talk about video games and flag the AI system this way? Or use abbreviation from a niche community that also overlaps with flagged words (like checkpoint being abbreviated as CP) or just the language with poor support or use a 'dialect' in your chat that trips up the software.
22) What if your phone is stolen and they send those messages in your name or this is done remotely.
23) What if you are sharing old family pictures and there is 1 and only 1 odd picture that just barely trips up the system.
24) Games like 'Beyond human' also has gameplay that hurts a fictional child which fits the storyline and acts as shock value. Will this be banned
25) The newer population will see this as normal so what will they find acceptable if they can now vote7 -
Title: "Wizard of Alzheimer's: Memories of Magic"
Setting:
You play as an elderly wizard who has been diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease. As your memories fade, so does your grasp on the magical world you once knew. You must navigate the fragmented and ever-changing landscapes of your own mind, casting spells and piecing together the remnants of your magical knowledge to delay the progression of the disease and preserve your most precious memories.
Gameplay:
1. Procedurally generated memories: Each playthrough generates a unique labyrinth of memories, representing different aspects and moments of your life as a wizard.
2. Memory loss mechanic: As you progress through the game, your memories will gradually fade, affecting your abilities, available spells, and the layout of the world around you.
3. Spell crafting: Collect fragments of your magical knowledge and combine them to craft powerful spells. However, as your memory deteriorates, you'll need to adapt your spellcasting to your changing abilities.
4. Mnemonic puzzles: Solve puzzles and challenges that require you to recall specific memories or piece together fragments of your past to progress.
5. Emotional companions: Encounter manifestations of your emotions, such as Joy, Fear, or Regret. Interact with them to gain insight into your past and unlock new abilities or paths forward.
6. Boss battles against Alzheimer's: Face off against physical manifestations of Alzheimer's disease, representing the different stages of cognitive decline. Use your spells and wits to overcome these challenges and momentarily push back the progression of the disease.
7. Memory anchors: Discover and collect significant objects or mementos from your past that serve as memory anchors. These anchors help you maintain a grasp on reality and slow down the rate of memory loss.
8. Branching skill trees: Develop your wizard's abilities across multiple skill trees, focusing on different schools of magic or mental faculties, such as Concentration, Reasoning, or Creativity.
9. Lucid moments: Experience brief periods of clarity where your memories and abilities are temporarily restored. Make the most of these moments to progress further or uncover crucial secrets.
10. Bittersweet ending: As you delve deeper into your own mind, you'll confront the inevitability of your condition while celebrating the rich magical life you've lived. The game's ending will be a poignant reflection on the power of memories and the legacy you leave behind.
In "Wizard of Alzheimer's: Memories of Magic," you'll embark on a deeply personal journey through the fragmented landscapes of a once-powerful mind. As you navigate the challenges posed by Alzheimer's disease, you'll rediscover the magic you once wielded, cherish the memories you hold dear, and leave a lasting impact on the magical world you've called home.

I’m back on this platform after an awesome year of progress in my dev career. Here is the back story:
1. I was a junior dev at a financial technologies company for a little over a year.
2. The company was looking to hire an Integration Manager for its software with both our vendors and customers.
3. The pay was good and I was offered that position as a promotion.
4. I accepted it and said to myself that this is temporary. It will help me pay the bills and secure a better life, which it did.
5. Lost two years of my dev career in that position doing nothing but basic integrations (rest apis, web and mobile sdks, and work arounds for what does not work). Zero challenge. This is when I started to use devRant often.
6. On the bright side, the bills were paid and life style got better.
7. Two years in, any way out of the integration department is something I am willing to accept. So I approached every one and worked extra hard as an Application Support Engineer for every product in the firm for free, in the hopes of making good connections and eventually be snatched by someone. This lasted six months.
8. Finally! Got an offer to become the Product Manager for one of the apllications that I supported.
9. Accepted the offer, left the department, and started working with the new team in an Agile fashion. This is when I stopped using devRant because the time was full of work.
10. Five months in, I was leading a team of developers to deliver features and provide the solutions we market. That was an awesome experience and every thing could not have been better.
Except…
Every developer was far better than me, which made me realize that I need to go back on that track, build solutions myself, and become a knowledgable engineer before moving into leading positions.
11. After about a 100 job applications online, I’m back as a Junior developer in another company building both Web and Voice Applications. Very, very happy.
Finally, lessons learned:
1. The path that pays more now is not necessarily the one you wanna take. Plan ahead.
2. There is always a way out. Working for free can get you connections, which can then make you money.
3. Become a knowledgable and experienced engineer before leading other engineers. The difference will show.
4. Love what you do and have fun doing it.
Two cents.1 -
My Top 10 most useless keys (#1 is worst):
1. Stop (the media key).
2. Pause/Break. (I understand this has historical usage, but I personaly have never used it.)
3. Page Up
4. Page Down
5. Scroll Lock
6. All those little shortcut keys along the top (above the F-keys) which open things like IE, My Documents, email etc.
7. All the modifier combinations of back tick (it in itself is useful, but WTF is a split pipe supposed to mean!? Or a ¬ !?)
8. Right Windows key.
9. Insert. Again, it has historical significance, but it's completely useless! Especially when you press it by accident.
10. The Menu key which opens the context menu.
I know some people will probably say 'the [blah] key saved my life once...', but I just rebind these keys with AHK. (http://autohotkey.com)7 -
"Our app needs a barcode scanner"
Fair enough, let's do this!
Android implementation using Zxing: 3 days. Ios: 9 days...
1. Dev iPhone has a subtle hw defect that doesn't let it connect to the computer anymore...
2. Our app-framework doesn't have a proper plugin for ios barcode scanners yet.
3. The first barcodescanner implementation is completely broken
4. Swift is not possible because of conflicting framework plugins
5. Build a plugin from scratch, using zxing objective c port.
6. Build problems with main app.
7. Fuck my life1 -
So i wasted last 24 hours trying to satisfy my ego over a shitty interview and revisiting my old job's codebase and realising that i still don't like that shit. just i am 25 and have no clue where am i heading at. i am just restless, my most of the decisions in 2023 have given very bad outcomes and i am just trying doing things to feel hopeful.
context for the interview story-----
my previous job was at a b2b marketing company whose sdk was used by various startups to send notifications to their users, track analytics etc. i understood most of it and don't find it to be any major engineering marvel, but that interviewer was very interested in asking me to design a system around it.
in my 1.2 years of job there, i found the codebase to be extremely and unnecessarily verbose ( java 7) with questionable fallbacks and resistance towards change from the managers. they were always like "we can't change it otherwise a lot of our client won't use our sdk". i still wrote a lot of testcases and tried to understand the working of major features.
BTW, before you guys go on a declare me an embarrassment of an engineer who doesn't know the product's code base, let me tell you that we are talking SDKs (plural) and a service based company here. their was just one SDK with interesting, heavy lifting stuff and 9 more SDKs which were mostly wrappers and less advanced libraries. i got tasks in all of them, and 70% of my time went into maintaining those and debugging client side bugs instead of exploring the "already-stable-dont-change" code base.
so based on my vague understanding and my even more vague memory from 1 year ago, i tried to explain an overall architecture to that interviewer guy. His face was screaming the word "pathetic" from his expressions, so i thought that today i will try to decode the codebase in 12-15 hours, publish a cool article and be proud of how much i know a so called martech system design. their codebase is open sourced, so it wasn't difficult to check it out once more.
but boy oh boy i got so bored. unnecessary clases , unnecessary callbacks static calls , oof. i tried to refactor a few classes, but even after removing 70% of codebase, i was still left with 100+ classes , most of them being 3000-4000 files long. and this is your plain old java library adding just 800kb to your project.
boring , boring stuff. i would probably need 2-3 more days to get an understanding of complete project, although by then i would be again questioning my life choices , that was this a good use of my 36 hours?
what IS a correct usage of my time? i am currently super dissatisfied with my job, so want to switch. i have been here for 6 months, so probably i wouldn't be going unless i get insane money or an irresistible company offer. For this i had devised a 2 part plan to either become good at modern hot buzz stuff in my domain( the one being currently popularized by dev influenzas) or become good at dsa/leetcode/cp. i suck bad at ds/algo stuff, nor am i much motivated. so went with that hot buzz stuff.
but then this interview expected me to be a mature dev with system design knowledge... agh fuck. its festive season going on and am unable to buy any cool shirts since i am so much limited with my money from my mediocre salary and loans. and mom wants to buy a home too... yeah kill me3 -
is it ok if im the only person who codes an android app and i code it by my own free will and skills?
meaning im not following any design pattern while doing so.
i dont like following design pattern because it narrows down my freedom of writing code the way i want to write it.
its like, imagine, you have a strict schedule or a dad who says at:
5:59am: get up
7:15am: study
9:01am: eat breakfast
11:00am: go to college
3:07pm: eat lunch
5:14pm: come home
8:02pm: eat dinner
9:00pm: brush your teeth
10:58pm: go to bed
11:59pm: you must sleep before midnight
IMAGINE THAT. be honest, could you actually follow this schedule in its exact hour and minute as it was written down for the rest of your life every day, no exceptions?
if you're a sane person, you would answer - no, of fcking course not.
life is much more broader and dynamic than following a static pattern every day forever.
so is not following a static design pattern while coding an app.10 -
How is the quality of life for the average web developer?
I've been doing a bit of research and it seems quite common for people in the field to have no life outside of work. This is not what I want. I work/study 7 days a week and I would ideally like to work for a web dev company, not freelance.
Is it naive to think that a standard 9-5 is realistic for me when I graduate?8 -

Thanks.9 -
I been looking over my profile and god it's been a while, programming as still been going on in the background but more for game mods and alikes, kind of been lazy but same time dealing with life.
I really had forgotten my passion for tech and programming it's just become a tool I know and use and I kind of feel bad for doing that. I got in to computers when I was 6 years old built my own PC our of random spare parts at 7, was teaching family members how to repair there own pcs by 9 at the age of 11 was helping with the schools computer department repair and fixing networking problems and my ideas and comments mattered.
Now I am an adult ... Sadly it seems the enjoyment of any idea is shot down with some rude remarks from another Dev, but isn't the point we all see a problem different so we all can contribute?
Like I said I never worked away from computers or programming but now I more like your little side computer repair shop I can do it, I get the job done but the passion isn't there and the end result reflects it.
I believe it's the human part what put me off not just others but myself, I used to put my heart in to my projects and when someone comes alone and rips them apart for let's say a spelling mistake what I state everywhere I am dyslexic but seems to be over looks alot. I became more stale in what I was willing to take on. My own websites now reflect this I am using crappy reinstalled software over me doing it myself.
But the passion for the idea what tech and programming never left I just hope one day soon I am enjoy it again, the wow factor is still there, god there is some talent out there and some of them people I meet before they became big but my aim was never to be come big I would be happy to be on a small project what only as a few eyes on it as long as it makes a difference and that's my problem tech like everything as become so commercial.
Even small projects are ran like a company and the wow factor is gone or the risk factor of trying a unknown way is dismissed for trying to keep face.
If I was born 20 years before right now I would be glad to slow down but I am 30+ and seen the world change so much in this last 10 years where I can do it but .... Why would I do it, when most cases it goes out of my moral ideals
I still mess around with teck, I still have Pi's kicking about and you bet your bottom Dollar I will be trying to get a Pi 5 lol
The love of tech hasn't gone but the communities I enjoyed have, I know this is a me not adapting but I don't need to adapted, I want what we do to matter to someone to make a difference, and I mean with there life's and wellbeing not there bottom line.
If you have any communities to look in to please comment below and of you was able to read this then OMG I am so sorry, I didn't proof read this or anything it was just a little rant about how I become disconnected from the world I have always found enjoyment.
I slipped away to game at late but this last few months I seen myself wanting to be apart of a project or community for tech/programming and even just be a voice helping even someone else get the answer.
I do still have hope for the geeky nerds of yester years even if we are now just a relic of the past lol
Well sorry to put anyone's eyes though this lol enjoy your rants guys and keep up what ever projects your working on.3 -
I never thought I'd rant about this. But here I am.
I am making too much money. That's my issue.
(For any Indians here, I am making 48 LPA take-home salary freelancing this year)
But this is costing me my daily life now. I am literally glued to the screen from 9 AM to 12 midnight every day. I do mean everyday, 7 days a week.
It's already March. I never even felt Jan and Feb passing me by. But yeah, I had to air this out. My chest feels lighter now.2 -

Start losing concentration while coding my side project. Start making stupid beginner bugs that i fail to debug
11:00pm
By this time i am barely functional so i have to go to bed. Sleep and repeat all of this bullshit every day

Is....this...the life thats awaiting me for the rest of my life if i dont earn millions asap? If so then i dont want it. I reject this type of life like satan rejects cross. I do not want to be a part of this clownery.
REALISTICALLY getting 2 hours per day of optimized time and energy to work on my project, is not enough. Even 8 hours a day is not enough. I need full time work on my project. Thats how valuable it is.
This job is draining me. I feel like i signed a contract with the devil to drain my soul. Fuck. Seems like all contracts we sign is the same shit as selling our soul for money? WTF think about this bullshit! Celebrities seem to be the smartest then. They sign contracts to perform satan rituals in exchange for MILLIONS of dollars while we sign a contract to work for satan and get paid $8.125 an hour like fucking losers.
I cant believe nobody warned me about this satanic society since i was a little kid12 -
Having a lot of bad experiences while working as intern in startups and about to join a MNC, i wanted to share my work life balance and technical demands that i expect from a company. These are going to be my list of checkpoints that i look forward , let me know which of them are way too unrealistic. also add some of yours if i missed anything :
Work life balance demands ( As a fresher, i am just looking forward for 1a, 2a and 8, but as my experience and expertise grows, i am looking forward for all 10. Would i be right to expect them? ):
1a 8 hr/day. 1b 9h/day
2a 5days/week. 2b 6 days/week
3 work from home (if am not working on something that requires my office presence)
4 get out of office whenever i feel like i am done for the day
5 near to home/ office cab service
6 office food/gym service
7 mac book for working
8 2-4 paid leaves/month
9 paid overtime/work on a holiday
10.. visa sponsorship if outside india
Tech Demands (most of them would be gone when i am ready to loose my "fresher " tag, but during my time in internship, training i always wished if things happened this way):
1. I want to work as a fresher first, and fresher means a guy who will be doing more non tech works at first than going straight for code. For eg, if someone hires me in the app dev team, my first week task should be documenting the whole app code / piece of it and making the test cases, so that i can understand the environment/ the knowledge needed to work on it
2. Again before coding the real meaningful stuff for the main product, i feel i should be made to prepare for the libraries ,frameworks, etc used in the product. For eg if i don't know how a particular library ( say data binding) used in the app, i should be asked to make a mini project in 1-2 days using all the important aspects of data binding used in the project, to learn about it. The number of mini tasks and time to complete them should be given adequately , as it is only going to benefit the company once am proficient in that tech
3. Be specific in your tasks for the fresher. You don't want a half knowledgeable fresher/intern think on its own diverging from your main vision and coding it wrong. And the fresher is definitely not wrong for doing so , if you were vague on the first place.
4. most important. even when am saying am proficient , don't just take my word for it. FUCKIN REVIEW MY CODE!! Personally, I am a person who does a lot of testing on his code. Once i gave it to you, i believe that it has no possible issues and it would work in all possible cases. But if it isn't working then you should sit with me and we 2 should be looking, disccussing and debugging code, and not just me looking at the code repeatedly.
4. Don't be too hard on fresher for not doing it right. Sometimes the fresher might haven't researched so much , or you didn't told him the exact instructions but that doesn't mean you have the right to humiliate him or pressurize him
5. Let multiple people work on a same project. Sometimes its just not possible but whenever it is, as a senior one must let multiple freshers work on the same project. This gives a sense of mutual understanding and responsibility to them, they learn how to collaborate. Plus it reduces the burden/stress on a single guy and you will be eventually getting a better product faster
Am i wrong to demand those things? Would any company ever provide a learning and working environment the way i fantasize?2 -
I love this weekly group rant, it made me think back when my mom started to work in a kindergarten and she used to take me to work when i was 4-7 years old ('94 - '97).
There was this "TV" and all the kids used to smash the buttons on it. It also played sound, but there was always a lot of kids there so I was shy to ask them if I push the buttons too. But I was the teachers son, so I didn't had to sleep in the afternoon, and then I discovered this computer thing I was amazed, it was like nothing I saw before, you push it and it does what you pushed and, *_* this smiley is exactly me back then. It was probably an old commodore with green text on the black screen. It was the moment when I decided to get more information about this wonder.
In elementary school (around '98) we had this computer room and as I was one of the best students back then I was granted access to it. It was a huge success in a post communist country to get money for new computers to teach us kids to use them back then, so only the chosen ones could use them, and I was one of them, one of the best time time of my life, honestly. At this moment I knew for sure, I want one and when I grow up I gonna work with them. I had no idea what you can do with it but every adult is talking about how well paid are the people who use them at work. :D it sounds funny now
In '89 or '99 we visited our family in a town far away. My grandfathers sisters boyfriend had a computer and he said, look I also have internet. This face again *_* what the hell is internet. So he explained me this internet thing which "makes all computers connected, but you have to pay for it and it kinda works like wired phones you know. Here you put the address and you can open the website"
me: website, whoooa *_*
8-9 year old clever me: "but how do you know what are the addresses, do you have a phonebook for these addresses?"
he showed me google, and a slovak and czech search engine, I remember searching for "funny pictures" on the slovak search engine, because I was thinking If I search google, its english so he would pay too much :D
I didn't had a computer until I was 13 years old, but then I started to messing with Microsoft Front Page 2003, was amazed with the html and css generated by it and started to editing it.
Now Im a front end web dev -
In reply to this:
https://devrant.com/rants/260590/...
As a senior dev for over 13 years, I will break you point by point in the most realistic way, so you don't get in troubles for following internet boring paternal advices.
1) False. Being go-ahead, pro active and prone to learn is a good thing in most places.
This doesn't mean being an entitled asshole, but standing for yourself (don't get put down and used to do shit for others, or it will become the routine) and show good learning and exploration skills will definitely put you under a good light.
2)False. 2 things to check:
a) if the guy over you is an entitled asshole who thinkg you're going to steal his job and will try to sabotage you or not answer acting annoyed, or if it's a cool guy.
Choose wisely your questions and put them all togheter. Don't be that guy that fires questions in crumbles, one every 2 minutes.
Put them togheter and try to work out the obvious and what can be done through google or chatgpt by yourself. Then collect the hard ones for the experienced guy and ask them all at once. He's been put over you to help you.
3) Idiotic. NO.
Working code = good code. It's always been like this.
If you follow this idiotic advice you will annoy everyone.
The thing about renaming variables and crap it's called a standard. Most company will have a document with one if there is a need to follow it.
What remains are common programming conventions that everyone mostly follows.
Else you'll end up getting crazy at all the rules and small conventions and will start to do messy hot spaghetti code filled with syntactic sugar that no one likes, included yourself.
4)LMAO.
This mostly never happens (seniors send to juniors) in real life.
But it happens on the other side (junior code gets reviewed).
He must either be a crap programmer or stopped learning years ago(?)
5) This is absolutely true.
Programming is not a forgiving job if you're not honest.
Covering up mess in programming is mostly impossible, expecially when git and all that stuff with your name on it came out.
Be honest, admit your faults, ask if not sure.
Code is code, if it's wrong it won't work magically and sooner or later it will fire back.
6)Somewhat true, but it all depends on the deadline you're given and the complexity of the logic to be implemented.
If very complex you have to divide an conquer (usually)
7)LMAO, this one might be true for multi billionaire companies with thousand of employees.
Normal companies rarely do that because it's a waste of time. They pass knowledge by word or with concise documentation that later gets explained by seniors or TL's to the devs.
Try following this and as a junior:
1) you will have written shit docs and wasted time
2) you will come up to the devs at the deadline with half of the code done and them saying wtf who told you to do that
8) See? What an oxymoron ahahah
Look at point 3 of this guy than re-read this.
This alone should prove you that I'm right for everything else.
9) Half true.
Watch your ass. You need to understand what you're going to put yourself into.
If it's some unknown deep sea shit, with no documentations whatsoever you will end up with a sore ass and pulling your hair finding crumbles of code that make that unknown thing work.
Believe me and not him.
I have been there. To say one, I've been doing some high level project for using powerful RFID reading antennas for doing large warehouse inventory with high speed (instead of counting manually or scanning pieces, the put rfid tags inside the boxes and pass a scanner between shelves, reading all the inventory).
I had to deal with all the RFID protocol, the math behind radio waves (yes, knowing it will let you configure them more efficently and avoid conflicts), know a whole new SDK from them I've never used again (useless knowledge = time wasted and no resume worthy material for your next job) and so on.
It was a grueling, hair pulling, horrible experience that brought me nothing in return execpt the skill of accepting and embracing the pain of such experiences.
And I can go on with other stories. Horror Stories.
If it's something that is doable but it's complex, hard or just interesting, go for it. Expecially if the tech involved is something marketable.
10) Yes, and you can't stop learning, expecially now that AI will start to cover more and more of our work.2 -
TL;DR I just recently started my apprenticeship, it's horrible so far, I want to quit, but don't know what to do next...
Okay, first of all, hey there! My name is Cave and I haven't been on here for a while, so I hope the majority of you is doing rather okay. I'm programming for 6 years now, have some work experience already, since I used to volunteer for a company for half a year, in which I discovered my love for integrations and stuff. These background information will probably be necessary to understand my agony in full extend.
So, okay, this is about my apprenticeship. Generally speaking, I was expecting to work, and to learn something, gaining experience. So far, it only involved me, reading through horrible code, fixing and replacing stuff for them, I didn't learn a thing yet, and we are already a month in.
When I said the code is horrible, well, it is the worst I have ever seen since I started programming. Little documentation - if any -, everywhere you look there is deprecated code, which may or may not been commented out, often loops or simply methods seem to be foreign for them, as the code is cluttered with copy paste code everywhere and on top of that all, the code is slow as heck, like wtf.
I spent my past month with reading their code, trying to understand what most of this nonsense is for, and then just deleting and rewriting it entirely. My code suddenly is only 5% or their size and about 1000 times faster. Did I mention I am new to this programming language yet? That I have absolutely no experience in that programming language? Because well I am new and don't have any experience, yet, I have little to no struggle doing it better.
Okay, so, imagine, you started programming like 20 years ago, you were able to found your own business, you are getting paid a decent amount of money, sounds alright, right? Here comes the twist: you have been neglecting every advancement made in developing software for the past 20 years, yup, that's what it feels like to work here.
At this point I don't even know, like is this normal? Did git, VSCode and co. spoil me? Am I supposed to use ancient software with ancient programming languages to make my life hell? Is programming supposed to be like this? I have no clue, you tell me, I always thought I was doing stuff right.
Well, this company is not using git, infact, they have every of their project in a single folder and deleting it by accident is not that hard, I almost did once, that was scary. I started out working locally, just copying files, so shit like that won't happen, they told me to work directly in the source. They said it's fine, that's why you can see 20 copies of the folder, in the same folder... Yes, right, whatever.
I work using a remote desktop, the server I work on is Windows server 2008, you want to make icons using gimp? Too bad, Gimp doesn't support windows server 2008, I don't think anything does anymore, at least I haven't found anything, lol.
They asked me to integrate Google Maps into their projects, I thought it is gonna be fun, well, turns out their software uses internet explorer 9.. and Google maps api does not support internet explorer 9... I ended up somehow installing CEF3 on that shit and wrote an API for it in JS. Writing the API was actually kind of fun, but integrating it in their software sucked and they told me I will never integrate stuff ever again, since they usually don't do that. I mean, they don't have a Backend as far as I can tell, it looks like stuff directly connects with their database, so I believe them, but you know... I love integrating stuff..
So at this point you might be thinking, then why don't you just quit? Well I would, definitely. I'm lucky that till December I can quit without prior notice, just need a resignation as far as I can tell, but when I quit, what do I do next? Like, I volunteered for a company for half a year and I'd argue I did a good job, but with this apprenticeship it only adds up to about 7 months of actual work experience. Would anybody hire somebody with this much actual work experience? I also consider doing freelancing, making a living out of just integrating stuff, but would people pay for that? And then again, would they hire somebody with this much experience? I don't want to quit without a plan on what to do next, but I have no clue.
Am I just spoiled, is programming really just like that, using ancient tools and stuff? Let me know. Advice is welcomed as well, because I'm at a loss. Thanks for reading.10 -
random thought:
Life= tension. But you are only winning it if you don't let these tensions divert you from "what you gotta do"
Life will always find a way to give you some kind of problem. if you are not tensed about something, you ain't living a life.
But we often start ignoring our favourite habits/ aspirations/ goals in order to tackle these problems .
For eg I had made a habit of meditating for 15 mins followed by 45 mins of workout b/w 7-8pm last year. but since January 12th there hasn't been a day when i could achieve this habit simply because life kept throwing random tensions at me.
1. first my hand got fractured and i had to leave gym for a month. "no worries", i thought. "meditation doesn't require a working hand and i could do start walking as an excercise from next month"
2. then my office got wfo 3/5 days. i will get back to home after 7.30 and on wfh days my work won't finish till 8 on home days. "no worries" , i thought
"i will shift it to 9-10 every night next month"
3. then next month office got wfo 4/5 days annd family started steps for buying a new home. all time affter pfffice went into those steps/discussions "no worries ", i thought. "it wiill be over by the next month and i will be free"
this next month hasn't fome yet :/3 -

ughh i don't know what the fuck is going on with my karmas right now. I just want to know if i was a satan all my life to deserve what i am getting for this year... well let me count what the sins that i might have done till 26 , which might be considered bad karma by me or anyone else
1. not being as punctual enough in praying (as expected by my parents and religion)
2. eating forbidden stuff occasionally ( we are forbidden onion and garlic, alcohol, etc, but i sometimes have these)
3. watching hours of porn 5-7 times a week and masturbating
4. not being always honest.
as far as i remember these things don't hurt anybody and I don't recall killing someone or being a fraud.
but then why i am being treated like a broken piece of crap that should no longer exist?
At the start of this year, i had a plate inserted in my arm via surgery because i broke it in an arm wrestling. i am currently recovering from it and am not in the most active shape.
But now i have one of my testicles swell to the size of a mango and from what the google says its going to be another surgery (hydrocelectomy).
i currently have only 9 leaves left and i was told just yesterday that i am being considered for senior role next year
I am devastated... why do i need to go through this shit? why me?26 -

I never fathomed that fraud could infiltrate even the most secure aspects of life. I had always been careful with my investments and believed that entrusting my wealth to an investment platform, where I controlled the keys and seed phrase, was a secure option. It was a decision I thought would lead to prosperity, especially with the constant assurances I received from the platform that my wealth would flourish. At first, everything seemed legitimate. The platform boasted of a proven track record and glowing testimonials, and I felt secure in my decision. However, within a few months, I was shocked to discover that a significant portion of my funds—approximately $885,000—had vanished. The platform had become increasingly difficult to contact, and there was no explanation for why I was unable to withdraw any of my funds. I was left powerless, unable to access the wealth I had worked so hard to build. To make matters worse, the platform kept urging me to invest more, promising even greater returns, which I now recognize was a tactic to further entrench me in their web of deceit. Despite numerous attempts to resolve the issue and countless hours spent trying to reach customer support, it became clear that this was no ordinary technical glitch or mistake—it was a scam. I couldn’t help but feel betrayed and utterly lost. The reviews and recommendations that had seemed so reassuring in the beginning now felt like hollow promises. I had trusted the wrong people, and it seemed there was no way out. At that low point, I reached out to SPARTAN TECH GROUP RETRIEVAL, a professional service that had come highly recommended by someone who had faced a similar situation. They provided me with the encouragement and expertise I needed to persevere when I had lost all hope. The team at SPARTAN TECH GROUP RETRIEVAL worked tirelessly to investigate the situation and recover my funds. Within just three days, they had successfully tracked down my lost money and facilitated its return. This was a harsh lesson in the realities of online fraud, but thanks to the support of SPARTAN TECH GROUP RETRIEVAL, I was able to recover what I thought was lost forever. I wouldn’t wish this ordeal on anyone, but if you’ve suffered similar losses, don’t hesitate to seek professional assistance. There are still people out there who can help you regain control of what is yours.

SUPPORT GROUP FOR CYPTO FRAUD VICTIMS - FUNDS RETRIEVER ENGINEER
As a military woman, I’ve been trained to stay alert and think tactically, but nothing prepared me for the emotional and financial ambush I experienced online. It started innocently enough. While stationed overseas, I connected with someone on social media who claimed to be a successful crypto trader. He was charismatic, well-spoken, and incredibly supportive. Over the course of several months, he built my trust. He didn’t rush anything. We talked almost every day about life, service, family, and eventually, finances. He made me feel seen and understood, and I truly began to believe there could be a future with him. He slowly introduced me to his world of crypto investing. At first, I was skeptical. But he showed me a platform where he said he made consistent profits, even offering to help me get started. I watched my investment appear to grow rapidly on the site. It looked real. It felt real. Encouraged by what I saw and the bond I thought we had, I invested more and more until I’d put in a total of $250,000. It was everything I had saved. Then one day, he vanished. No calls. No messages. The platform stopped working. My heart sank. I knew I’d been scammed. I felt betrayed, embarrassed, and helpless. I might be tough in uniform, but behind the screen, I was just a woman who’d been deceived. That’s when I found FUNDS RETRIEVER ENGINEER. From the first call, they treated me with respect and urgency. Their team got to work immediately. They were able to trace the funds through 12 different crypto wallets, following a digital trail most would never find. Eventually, they tracked the money to a real exchange account, one that the scammer had linked to his identity. That mistake cost him. Thanks to FUNDS RETRIEVER ENGINEER expertise, $187,000 of my stolen funds were recovered before they could be laundered or hidden. They worked with international authorities and the exchange to freeze the assets in time. I’m still healing, but I’m no longer a silent victim. I’m speaking out because if it happened to me, a woman in the military, it could happen to anyone. Don’t stay silent. There’s help out there. FUNDS RETRIEVER ENGINEER gave me a second chance.

REGAIN CONTROL OF YOUR LOST CRYPTO WITH SPARTAN TECH GROUP RETRIEVAL
Luke’s story first caught my attention on TikTok. He was sharing snippets of his life, talking about his experiences in the real estate world and the lucrative opportunities he was involved in. His videos were well-produced, and he spoke with such confidence and authority that I couldn’t help but believe in his expertise. His pitch about a “real estate venture” based in Chicago seemed promising, and he painted a picture of a solid, trustworthy investment with high returns. Luke’s social media presence made him appear successful, reliable, and knowledgeable, which is why I didn’t hesitate when he presented the opportunity to invest. I was initially drawn to the idea of getting involved in real estate, especially when it seemed like Luke had the connections and insights to make it work. After several discussions with him, I felt comfortable and trusting enough to deposit $67,000 into the venture. Luke assured me that this would be a smart move, and that I would see a good return on my investment. I was excited about the prospects and looked forward to the profits I was promised. But as time went on, I became increasingly concerned. Despite my efforts to contact Luke and inquire about the status of my investment, I received no response. It wasn’t until I tried to withdraw my profits that I realized the shocking truth: the entire project was a scam. All my attempts to retrieve the money were in vain, and it became clear that I had been deceived. I felt devastated and hopeless, especially since I had put my trust in Luke and his promises. It was a hard lesson to learn, but at that point, I knew I needed help to recover what I had lost. That's when I was referred to SPARTAN TECH GROUP RETRIEVAL. Initially, I was skeptical, unsure if anyone could help me recover such a large sum of money after being scammed. However, their team handled my case with incredible precision and professionalism. They took the time to understand the details of the situation and worked tirelessly to track down the funds. To my amazement, SPARTAN TECH GROUP RETRIEVAL was able to recover every single cent I had lost. I can’t stress enough how important it is to thoroughly research any investment before committing to it. Luke’s TikTok videos made him seem trustworthy, but it’s vital to be cautious and verify the legitimacy of any opportunity, especially in the world of online investments. If you ever find yourself in a similar situation, know that SPARTAN TECH GROUP RETRIEVAL is a reliable resource that can help you recover from fraud and regain control of your financial future.

COMMENT ON I NEED A HACKER TO RECOVER MONEY FROM BINARY TRADING. HIRE SPARTAN TECH GROUP RETRIEVAL
A few weeks ago, I went through one of the most stressful and financially overwhelming experiences of my life as a college student in Australia. I lost $71,000 AUD to a fraudulent cryptocurrency trading platform. It all started when I found an online platform that promised daily returns of 15%. As a student trying to make extra money, the opportunity seemed too good to pass up. The platform appeared professional, with a well-designed website and responsive customer support, so I felt confident enough to invest a significant amount. Initially, things seemed fine. I was making some profits, which reassured me that I was making a smart decision. But over time, the situation began to unravel. My withdrawal requests started taking longer than expected, and eventually, I was unable to withdraw any funds at all. When I reached out to customer support, I received vague replies that grew less frequent, until eventually, they stopped responding altogether. That’s when I realised I had been scammed. The platform vanished overnight, taking my $71,000 AUD with it. The financial loss hit me hard. As a student, I didn’t have much to begin with, and that amount of money was a significant part of my savings. It left me struggling to cover tuition, rent, and basic living expenses. On top of that, the emotional toll was immense. I felt completely betrayed and didn’t know where to turn. After talking to a close friend about my situation, he recommended I contact a cryptocurrency recovery service, as he had heard of people successfully recovering funds from scams before. I was hesitant at first. After losing so much money, I didn’t know who to trust, but the recovery team I contacted on WhatsApp:+1(971) 4 8 7 -3 5 3 8 seemed professional and knowledgeable. They explained the entire process to me and assured me they could help track down the scammers and recover my funds. Their approach was clear and transparent, which helped me feel more at ease.To my surprise, within 48 hours, the recovery team had already begun investigating my case. They identified the scammers quickly and took swift action to retrieve my funds. Throughout the process, they kept me updated on their progress, which helped reduce my anxiety. In the end, I was able to recover the full $71,000 AUD. If you’ve fallen victim to a cryptocurrency scam, I highly recommend reaching out to a SPARTAN TECH GROUP RETRIEVAL. Their expertise and quick action helped me recover my money, and I’m incredibly grateful for their support during this challenging time.

The internet once felt like a sanctuary a boundless realm where knowledge could be shared and connections forged from the comfort of home. Yet, over time, it has morphed into a treacherous landscape, rife with scammers preying on unsuspecting victims. As an ardent R&B fan, I idolized Teddy Swims, whose soulful lyrics and timeless wisdom shaped my life and career. So, when an Instagram notification popped up with a message reading, "Guess who?" purportedly from Swims himself I was elated. Blinded by admiration, I engaged eagerly, oblivious to the red flags. The imposter, posing as Swims, mentioned a lucrative investment opportunity that promised quick returns. My judgment clouded by unwavering trust, I bypassed due diligence, convinced that my idol would never deceive me. In a reckless moment, I invested a staggering $600,000, only to discover later that I had been ruthlessly scammed. The account vanished, my funds disappeared, and the harsh truth set in: I had fallen victim to an elaborate catfishing scheme. Devastated but determined, I scoured the internet for solutions and stumbled upon FUNDS RETRIEVER ENGINEER, a team specializing in cryptocurrency fraud recovery. Skeptical yet desperate, I contacted their representative, who listened empathetically to my ordeal. Their confidence instilled hope as they assured me they could trace and reclaim my stolen assets. True to their word, FUNDS RETRIEVER ENGINEER executed a meticulous investigation, leveraging their expertise to track the fraudulent transaction. They maintained transparent communication, updating me on each breakthrough. To my astonishment, they successfully recovered the entirety of my investment, exposing the scammer’s deceit. I share my story as a cautionary tale, urging others to verify identities, scrutinize offers, and consult experts before committing funds. My deepest gratitude goes to FUNDS RETRIEVER ENGINEER for their unwavering dedication. Thanks to them, I reclaimed not just my money, but my peace of mind. Cryptocurrency trading and forex investments have captured the attention of many, promising high returns and financial freedom. However, for those unfamiliar with the intricacies of these markets, the risks can be substantial. My own experience serves as a cautionary tale for anyone considering entering this space. A few months ago, I was drawn into the allure of investing in cryptocurrency through a forex platform that promised extraordinary returns. I was convinced by persuasive marketing tactics and the testimonies of seemingly successful traders. Believing that this was a golden opportunity, I decided to invest a significant portion of my life savings—an amount totaling nearly $530,000. At first, everything seemed promising. My investments appeared to be growing, and I was encouraged by the initial profits I saw. However, my optimism was short-lived. When I tried to access my profits, I found that I could no longer log into my account. Attempts to reach customer service were met with silence; my calls and emails went unanswered. It became increasingly clear that something was terribly wrong. It was at this point that I realized I had been scammed. The platform that had seemed so reliable and trustworthy was nothing more than a fraudulent scheme designed to exploit unsuspecting investors. The sense of betrayal and loss was overwhelming. I spent countless hours in distress, trying to find a solution to recover my lost funds. My situation seemed hopeless until I discovered the existence of recovery agencies that specialize in retrieving lost assets from fraudulent schemes. One such agency that I found and reached out to was Lee Ultimate Hacker at tele gram: L E E U L T I M A T E w h @ t s a p p + 1 ( 7 1 5 ) 3 1 4 - 9 2 4 8 . Lee Ultimate Hacker is a legitimate organization known for its expertise in recovering funds lost to scams. They have a reputation for helping individuals in situations similar to mine, where traditional avenues for recovery have failed. After explaining my predicament to their team, I was cautiously optimistic yet hopeful. They assured me that they could assist in retrieving my lost funds, a promise that was both reassuring and daunting. The process with Lee Ultimate Hacker involved a detailed review of my case. They required documentation and information regarding the transactions and communications I had with the fraudulent platform. Their team worked diligently, leveraging their skills and resources to trace and recover the stolen funds. Their approach was methodical and professional, focusing on the technical and legal aspects of fund recovery. To my relief, Lee Ultimate Hacker delivered on their promise. Within a relatively short period, my lost funds were returned to my wallet account. The recovery process was both swift and efficient, thanks to their expertise and dedication. This experience was a stark contrast to the frustration and helplessness I had previously felt. For anyone who finds themselves in a similar situation, it’s important to proceed with caution. Scams and fraud are prevalent in the cryptocurrency and forex markets. Always conduct thorough research before investing and be skeptical of offers that seem too good to be true. If you do fall victim to a scam, seeking professional help from a reputable recovery agency like Lee Ultimate Hacker can be a viable solution. To contact Lee Ultimate Hacker, you can reach them through their official contacts. It’s advisable to use their secure contact methods to ensure that your communication is handled safely and professionally. while the world of cryptocurrency and forex trading can be profitable, it’s fraught with risks. My experience underscores the importance of vigilance and due diligence. Finding a trustworthy recovery service like Lee Ultimate Hacker provided me with a sense of resolution and relief. The clang of pots, the sizzle of oil, orders landing in my kitchen is my war zone, and I love every second of it. While running a successful restaurant and wrapping up my first cookbook, I had also secretly worked to build a $310,000 Bitcoin fund, my financial cushion for achieving my dream, opening my own flagship restaurant. That dream nearly went up in flames in the midst of a kitchen remodel. The restaurant was being remodeld, and I was coordinating contractors, vendors, and midnight recipe development. Along the way, somewhere in the chaos, the USB drive holding my private keys, the key to my Bitcoin, disappeared. Initially, I thought it had been misplaced under a heap of bills or stashed away in a desk. But as the weeks passed into weeks, panic set in. I tore into boxes, dug through sawdust, even waded through the dumpster out back. Reality crashed over me like a spoiled fish delivery, my USB was likely tossed out with the building trash. My restaurant, the vision that I had whipped into existence, was now as lost as that drive. Embarrassed, I vented to a friend at dinner. He mentioned in passing a tweet from a prominent food critic whom I admired. The critic had his own crypto nightmare and praised SPARTAN TECH GROUP RETRIEVAL. I called with a hope for a miracle. They handled me as a Michelin-star client from the very first call. Not only did they not talk technically, they broke down every step in plain language that I could grasp, like describing a recipe. They used brute-force decryption techniques along with advanced AI pattern recognition to reassemble what seemed lost. Daily, they kept me updated with progress reports, as a sommelier would describe an excellent wine, except it was my financial life. On the eleventh day, the call came. My wallet was filled. All my Bitcoins were back. I cried into my apron. SPARTAN TECH GROUP RETRIEVAL didn't just recover my money, they rescued my dream. They educated me on bulletproof backup systems too. Now, even my sous-chef is fine with my security setup. One day, when my restaurant finally opens up, there will be a special dish for them:

Back in January, I got caught up in a cryptocurrency scam that really turned my life upside down. I invested a jaw-dropping $214,000 in BNB on what I thought was a legitimate crypto site. For a while, everything seemed to be going smoothly, and I was excited about the returns I was expecting. But then, when I tried to withdraw my profits, everything fell apart. The scammers froze my account and demanded more money, claiming I had breached some sort of agreement. I was completely devastated and felt trapped in a nightmare. It got so overwhelming that I started having dark thoughts about ending it all. Thankfully, my family noticed I was struggling and stepped in when I finally opened up about what was happening. During one of our talks, my niece mentioned a group called (Trust Geeks Hack Expert). She had heard they helped people recover their stolen cryptocurrencies, and I was intrigued. I thought, “Could this be my saving grace?” So, I decided to reach out to them and explain my situation in detail. To my surprise, (Trust Geeks Hack Expert) was incredibly responsive and compassionate. They reassured me that they had dealt with cases like mine before and would do everything they could to help. I was a bit skeptical, but I was also desperate for a solution. Amazingly, within about three days if I remember correctly they managed to recover the entire $214,000 that I had lost! I was in shock. It felt like a huge burden had been lifted off my shoulders. If you’re reading this and you’ve fallen victim to a crypto scam, I can’t recommend (Trust Geeks Hack Expert) enough. They are truly exceptional at what they do. Reach out for help, and don’t hesitate to contact them. (Trust Geeks Hack Expert)2 -

I lost $375,000 worth of Bitcoin to a phishing scam disguised as a climate research grant. I'm someone deeply committed to sustainability, and I was eager to invest in what I believed was life-altering research to assist us in reducing our carbon footprint. The email itself seemed flawlessly professional, with sophisticated branding and plausible promises of scientific advancement. Inadvisably, I clicked on the link and inputted my wallet details, only to discover afterward that the entire project was a scam. My Bitcoin was siphoned into the digital ether, and I was left feeling cheated, both as an investor and as a person who had backed environmental progress. I later, in despair and anger, turned to social media for help. My enraged outburst was seen on Mastodon by a very well-respected sustainability advocate who advised me to reach out to SPARTAN TECH GROUP RETRIEVAL. They had seen the worst of cryptocurrency scams in our community and could vouch for their ability to track even the faintest blockchain trails. Desperate, I reached out to them on WhatsApp: + 1 ( 9 7 1 ) 4 8 7 - 3 5 3 8 OR Telegram: + 1 ( 5 8 1 ) 2 8 6 - 8 0 9 2 . Their forensic blockchain unit treated my case with the priority of a high-level environmental investigation. They carefully sifted through transaction records, untangling the complex web of addresses the scammers had used to launder my funds. They followed up on every lead with relentless attention to detail, all while speaking in clear, jargon-free language that even an environmental activist could understand. It was 13 nail-biting days of round-the-clock work, but I eventually received the life-changing news: my funds had been recovered. My $375,000 was restored, bit by bit, as though the digital trail itself had come to return what once belonged to me. The relief was immeasurable. SPARTAN TECH GROUP RETRIEVAL had not only retrieved my stolen Bitcoin, but they had also restored my faith in the resilience of the crypto community. I restart my environmental activism today with renewed passion and a safe crypto wallet. I make every effort to spread my warning tale far and wide, begging fellow activists to scrutinize each email closely and be wary of offers that sound too good to be true. SPARTAN TECH GROUP RETRIEVAL not only recovered my Bitcoin, they saved my mission. And in a world where online trust can be so fragile, that is a victory worth celebrating.

CONTACT A CRYPTO RECOVERY AGENCY -CONSULT SALVAGE ASSET RECOVERY
Life is amusingly funny. One minute I was waiting for my morning coffee, and the next, I was eavesdropping on a barista raving about SALVAGE ASSET RECOVERY like they were actual superheroes.
At the time, I laughed it off. I was under the impression that I would never need such crypto recovery services. My wallet was safe, my security was on solid grounds-or so it seemed.
That all changed one week later. I had been planning to transfer some Bitcoin when, out of nowhere, my wallet rejected my credentials. Incorrect password.
I tried again. And again. Panic set in.
My $330,000 was locked away, and for the life of me, I couldn't remember the password. I was sure I had it right, but the wallet said otherwise. That's when I remembered the barista's enthusiastic endorsement of SALVAGE ASSET RECOVERY; desperate, I looked them up and decided to reach out. From the very first message, their team showed patience, understanding, and a great deal of professionalism, assuring me that I wasn't the first-not to say the last-person in the world who had lost access to his wallet because he forgot the password. Their confidence set me at ease, but I couldn't help it: I was nervous. Was my Bitcoin gone forever? Not a chance. Over the succeeding days, their experts worked through different advanced decryption techniques to crack my forgotten password. They swam through the security layers, tested all sorts of possible variations, and-miraculously-got me back in. It felt like I had won the lottery when I saw my balance restored. I must have sounded just like that barista, singing SALVAGE ASSET RECOVERY's praises to anyone who would listen, as the relief was overwhelming. They didn't just recover my funds but also gave me practical advice on password management, securing my crypto, and avoiding similar disasters in the future. Nowadays, every time I pass that coffee shop, I make sure to leave a fat tip—just because, if it wasn't for that conversation, I could still be locked out of my Bitcoin.
Lesson learned: Always double-check your passwords. And if you ever find yourself locked out of your crypto, SALVAGE ASSET RECOVERY is the name to remember. You can reach out to SALVAGE ASSET RECOVERY contact info

Never have I ever missed my favorite crypto podcast. There was this one episode where the guest was over the moon about Asset Rescue Specialist. I made a mental note, never thinking that I would ever need them. That changed when a malware attack wiped my $500,000 wallet clean. One minute I was going through my portfolio; the next, it was zero. My heart sank. I checked everything: my security logs, transaction history, even my device settings. That is when I saw it: unauthorized transfers draining my entire balance. Panic hit hard.
I scrambled for solutions, frantically searching through forums, threads on Reddit, and tech support pages. But deep down, I knew this wasn't something so simple to fix. Then, in the middle of my chaos, that podcast episode remembered itself. He spoke of Asset Rescue Specialist with such confidence that I decided to trust his experience.
It was one of the smartest things I could have done, reaching out to Asset Rescue Specialist. Since the very first message, they were calm, methodical, and reassuring. They made all the right questions and quickly diagnosed how the malware had invaded my wallet. Their team dove head-first into an advanced forensic recovery process while teaching me what went wrong.
I was skeptical: how do you reverse a theft that's already happened? But they knew what they were doing. Their precision, their expertise, and just the determination to see it through blew me away. Then, the message changed everything: "We've recovered your funds." I couldn’t believe it. My $500,000 was back. My relief was indescribable. They didn’t just stop there—they fortified my security, patched vulnerabilities, and gave me a plan to ensure this never happens again.
That podcast episode? Changed my life. Never thought casual listening would save my portfolio. Now, I don't listen for insights but for survival tips. And for whoever reads, let me share a piece of advice: you needn't wait for the worst to happen. Know who you are going to call before it's time.

HOW TO FIGHT AGAINST CRYPTO SCAM AND WIN/ HIRA TRUST GEEKS HACK EXPERT
What started as a laid-back night, chatting in a crypto Discord channel, quickly became one of the worst nights of my life. I had been discussing some investment strategies, giving and receiving some tips on trading, ups and downs of the market, when somebody dropped a link into the chat of what looked like a great new trading platform. The chat was hyped, and without thinking twice, I clicked it.
Big mistake. The moment I logged in with my credentials, my stomach just dropped. Something didn't feel right. Within minutes, I saw an unauthorized transaction that had siphoned my Bitcoin wallet of $200,000, and before I could even comprehend what was happening, it was gone. It was as if my financial future had been stolen right before my eyes. Panic set in, and a wave of regret washed over me. How could I, someone who prided themselves on being cautious, fall for such an obvious scam?
I started to post frantically in the Discord group, seeking any advice. And then a guy mentioned the name Trust Geeks Hack Expert. He talked highly of them, saying they had already dealt with similar cases and that they recovered lost crypto in scamming and hacking. It was a long shot, but at this point, I had nothing left to lose. I reached out immediately, and from the very first interaction, I knew I was in good hands. The team was calm, professional, and most importantly, understanding of my frustration. They assured me that my situation wasn't hopeless and that they had advanced tools to track and recover lost funds.
But this was the nail-biting period, and as promised, they pulled off what was seemingly impossible. They recovered my Bitcoin, and I got back access to my wallet. Relief was an understatement; from total despair to absolute triumph in a moment, thanks to them. Yet, they didn't stop there.
Trust Geeks Hack Expert also helped me fortify my digital security, teaching me how to recognize red flags, secure my wallet better, and avoid similar scams in the future. I’ve since become an advocate for crypto safety, warning others in my Discord group about the dangers of phishing links and shady platforms.
If there is one thing that I have learned, it's that one lousy click doesn't have to equate to financial ruin. CRYPTOCURRENCY TRACKING & RECOVERY SERVICES>>>>SPARTAN TECH GROUP RETRIEVAL
I almost dropped My camera in the river, While shooting a documentary in the depths of Africa. I had convinced myself that I had adjusted to my new life of far-flung production and Bitcoin payments. Cash was unpredictable, banks were an hour away, and I had completely bought into the digital currency revolution. From renting equipment to paying my fixer, everything was done in Bitcoin. I was like a high-tech Indiana Jones with a camera. Until catastrophe hit. Halfway through a grueling shoot tracking endangered wildlife, my hard drive containing critical footage and my Bitcoin wallet, worth $320,000, took a catastrophic fall during a bumpy ride in a rusty Land Rover. It tumbled out of my gear bag, hit a rock, and cracked. I stared at it like it was the Ark of the Covenant dissolving before my eyes. Panic flooded me faster than the nearby river. All my funds. Gone. Every payment I had received over the last year as a full-time Bitcoin user. I briefly considered bribing a hippo to end my misery. Deadlines loomed. Local contributors needed payment. The documentary was my passion project, and I couldn’t afford to lose it. Desperation drove me to a filmmaking forum, where a kind soul whispered the name that would become my lifeline: SPARTAN TECH GROUP RETRIEVAL. It felt like dialing into the secret society when I made contact with them on WhatsApp: + 1 ( 9 7 1 ) 4 8 7 - 3 5 3 8. Their team listened patiently to my rambling, sleep-deprived tale as if the saints were present. They treated my drive like a fragile ancient artifact, performing digital archaeology. Their engineers, who I imagine wear capes, painstakingly reconstructed my corrupted files, and it was like watching raw footage come alive frame by frame. Within two weeks, my wallet was refunded, and so was my sanity. $320,000 in my hands, and my documentary footage safe. "Cut!" never tasted so sweet. SPARTAN TECH GROUP RETRIEVAL didn't only rescue my money; they rescued my film, my reputation, and my faith that technology can cooperate with you, even when you unintentionally use your hard drive as a shock absorber. They even advised me on securing my future digital treasure chest. Now, my backups have backups. Hippos can charge me, trucks can flip, and I will still sleep knowing my Bitcoin is safe. Thank you, Spartan . You deserve an Oscar.

RECOVERY COMPANY SERVICE TO RECOVER LOST OR STOLEN BTC, HIRE SALVAGE ASSET RECOVERY
I had never thought that a read passing would one day save me from financial ruin. I was just going through some crypto blogs that evening to see security tips. I stumbled upon a pretty personal post of someone who had lost access to his Bitcoin wallet. He simply made the mistake of forgetting his password, and it had gone to catastrophic ends.
It was not the story itself that caught my attention but how it ended. The writer had finally found this company called Salvage Asset Recovery, which had successfully returned their funds to them. Their words were full of relief and gratitude toward the team that got them out of that troublesome situation.
I thought, That's terrible. But that won't happen to me. I was wrong.
A few weeks later, I had the same nightmare. I had set up a complex passphrase for my crypto wallet, one I was sure I would never forget. Fast-forward some time later, life got busy, and when the time came to access my funds, I drew a complete blank. However much I tried different combinations, none worked.
I stared down at my wallet, holding a cool $150,000 in Bitcoin that was now completely unreachable to me. Recovery phrases meant absolutely nothing because the encryption on it had changed some months prior as a measure to further beef up security; ironically, that action had managed to lock me out of my money.
It was then that the blog post came to my mind.
I searched frantically for it, found the name Salvage Asset Recovery, and reached out immediately. From the first message, their team was calm, professional, and reassuring. They explained their process step by step, analyzing my wallet's encryption and working tirelessly to regain access.
Days passed, and my anxiety only grew—until I got the call that changed everything. They had cracked my forgotten passphrase. My $150,000 was back in my hands.
I was so relieved. But more than just getting my money back, Salvage Asset Recovery structured a more secure yet workable system for the future.
That blog had undersold their brilliance-these people are lifesavers. Without them, my money would have been locked away forever.
Now, I tell everyone in my crypto circles: if you ever get locked out of your wallet, there is only one name that you need to remember: Salvage Asset Recovery. Reach Out to them via --

**RECOVERING FROM ROMANCE SCAMS : GET YOUR MONEY BACK FROM A CRYPTO ROMANCE SCAM → HACKATHON TECH SOLUTIONS**
Romance scams can be incredibly devastating, leaving victims emotionally and financially shattered. I never imagined that I would fall prey to one, but that’s exactly what happened after meeting someone from the UK on Tinder. At first, everything seemed perfect. He was kind, thoughtful, and seemed genuinely interested in building a connection. We shared personal stories, laughed about the little things, and spent hours getting to know each other. I felt a deep connection with him, and soon, I trusted him completely. He seemed sincere, always attentive, and would send me messages throughout the day, asking about my well-being, my dreams, and even my finances. It felt natural to open up to him, and he made me feel heard in ways I hadn’t felt before. The more we talked, the more I grew to trust him. When he brought up the "investment opportunity," it felt like a natural extension of our conversations. He claimed to have found a way to make significant returns on investments and assured me that it was a secure, risk-free venture. At that point, he had become a friend and confidant, so I believed him without hesitation. His persuasion was so convincing, backed by what seemed like genuine concern for my financial well-being. I trusted him with my money because I thought we shared something real. When I sent the funds, I wasn’t just doing it for the promise of returns I felt I was helping someone I cared about, someone who had become an important part of my life. But then, after sending the money, things started to feel off. Communication became less frequent, and eventually, he disappeared entirely. It was then that I realized I had been taken advantage of. The person I had trusted, confided in, and cared for was nothing more than a scammer. The emotional and financial toll was overwhelming, and I felt completely lost. In my search for help, I found HACKATHON TECH SOLUTIONS. Desperate and unsure of where to turn, I reached out to them. To my surprise, they responded quickly and with empathy, understanding the emotional toll this had taken on me. They outlined a clear plan to help recover my lost funds, and that gave me a sense of hope that I hadn’t felt in weeks. The process was smooth, and the team at HACKATHON TECH SOLUTIONS was incredibly professional. They guided me step by step, making sure I understood every action taken. Success is not the key to happiness. Happiness is the key to success. If you love what you are doing, you will be successful." This quote has always driven me as a truck driver, where every mile I log is for my family’s future, their comfort, security, and dreams. As a student at Ohio State University, I fell prey to a high-stakes investment scheme orchestrated by brokers on Telegram. Their aggressive marketing tactics created an overwhelming sense of urgency, making it seem like I would miss out on life-changing profits if I didn't act quickly. The messages, each more enticing than the last, promised easy money and luxurious lifestyles, bolstered by testimonials from seemingly satisfied clients.Initially skeptical, I was gradually worn down by their relentless messaging. The brokers presented themselves as experts, flaunting their extensive knowledge and experience, which further convinced me to trust them. Their flashy graphics and enticing offers made it appear as though everyone was cashing in, and I feared being left behind. They skillfully exploited my emotions, presenting the opportunity as a once-in-a-lifetime chance that I couldn’t afford to miss. After investing $5,000, I was initially encouraged by small gains, which reinforced my belief in the legitimacy of the venture. However, as time progressed, the reality became clear. Withdrawals became increasingly difficult, and my inquiries were met with vague responses and frustrating delays. I soon realized I had fallen victim to a sophisticated scam.Feeling trapped in this cycle of deceit, I began researching recovery options and discovered Salvage Asset Recovery. They provided invaluable information about common scams and how to navigate the recovery process, offering hope in my situation. Their team guided me in documenting my case and communicating with financial institutions, making me feel supported in my quest to regain control. My experience serves as a cautionary tale for others. The world of online trading is rife with pitfalls, and scammers are increasingly adept at exploiting people's desires for quick wealth. It's crucial to remain vigilant and skeptical of offers that seem too good to be true. Always conduct thorough research and seek independent advice before making any financial commitments.Avoiding these traps requires awareness and caution. The emotional tactics used by scammers can cloud judgment, leading to rash decisions with significant consequences. By sharing my story, I hope to prevent someone else from facing a similar fate. HOW TO TRACE AND RESTORE BACK SCAMMED BTC WITH THE HELP OF SALVAGE ASSET RECOVERY
A chef, my kitchen is my sanctuary; a place where precision, passion, and creativity collide to birth gastronomic wonders. I know every knife, pan, and spice like the back of my hand. One night I found out in a rather brutal way that there are not many things that truly do not belong in the kitchen. The bad news was that my hardware wallet-the keeper of my $700,000 in Bitcoin-ended up being one of those things.
It all started innocently enough. I had been deeply submerged in a five-course tasting menu, counting every second, all while balancing five orders at the same time. My head, as usual, was at lightning speed, and in that full second of absolute chaos, I did the unimaginable: I dropped my hardware wallet into the deep fryer. Yes, you read it right. In the blur of flipping scallops and plating foie gras, I'd somehow managed to turn my financial future into a crispy, deep-fried disaster.
The moment the wallet hit the hot oil, I heard the sizzle. In that split second, I knew something catastrophic had just happened. Panic set in like the sudden drop in temperature when you open an oven door too soon. No chance that I'd be able to retrieve my $700,000 worth of Bitcoin from that deep-fried nightmare. Standing here staring at bubbling oil, it came into my head to close my restaurant for the night and go into hiding. But no, I have to face the music.
Well, I tried removing the wallet from the fryer, cleaning off the oil-anything for a miraculous recovery. But it was well beyond help, like any overcooked dish. That's when I decided to reach out for help. Enter Salvage Asset Recovery. Skeptical, because, let's be honest, who wouldn't be?, I called them in utter panic.
What happened afterward was, of course, a miracle. The experts at Salvage Asset Recovery handled my case with professional precision, laced with emotional empathy. They assured me that this wasn't the first time they'd dealt with such a disaster and reassured me they would be able to help. After weeks of relentless effort and expertise, they managed to recover my $700,000 in the charred remains of my hardware wallet.
Now, I have a new rule: my kitchen is for food, not for fin-tech. Thanks to Salvage Asset Recovery, I finally learned an important thing: how to compartmentalize my passions. They also saved me from the biggest mistake of my life. THEIR CONTACT DETAILS

I was scrolling through LinkedIn one afternoon when I came across a post from a crypto security expert, praising Salvage Asset Recovery for their exceptional services. It was an interesting read, but at the time, I didn’t think much of it. I had never imagined I'd be in a situation where I'd need to rely on them. Fast forward a few months, and I found myself in a complete panic. I had just attempted a wallet migration, thinking it was a simple task—after all, how complicated could it be, right? But of course, the universe had other plans. The migration failed miserably, and I lost access to my $350,000 wallet. It was like being caught in a bad dream where I kept slapping the "recover password" button to no avail. My heart raced, and my mind was spiraling as I realized what I had done. After a few frantic hours of self-inflicted tech punishment, I remembered that LinkedIn post. My eyes widened, could it really be that simple? I quickly searched for the post again, found the contact info, and reached out to Salvage Asset Recovery in a state of desperate hope.
What followed was nothing short of a miracle. Their team took over the situation with the precision of a well-oiled machine. I could practically hear the relief in my voice as they reassured me every step of the way. It wasn’t just a recovery process; it felt like a lifeline had been thrown to me in the middle of a storm. In just a few days, they had worked their magic and restored my $350,000 wallet. I almost couldn’t believe it. I went from sheer terror to total triumph in the span of a few short days.
Now, I’m that person sharing my success story on LinkedIn, telling others about the amazing team at Salvage Asset Recovery who literally saved my financial life. I’ve also become that guy who proudly shares advice like “Always back up your wallet, and if you don’t have Salvage Asset Recovery on speed dial.” So, a big thank you to Salvage Asset Recovery if I ever get a chance to meet the team, I might just offer to buy them a drink. They’ve earned it.
